Masashi Hamauzu is one of those composers that you can 100% recognize his work no matter what (among other Final Fantasy/JRPG composers, like for example Nobuo Uematsu - the legend, Hitoshi Sakimoto - my personal favorite, Motoi Sakuraba - he rocks,... and I don't even have to mention Yoko Shimamura, that's a given - another legend, and Yasunori Mitsuda - yet another legend) ^^
Wow! Thank you for doing this. They were all on YT some years ago, but were taken down at some point (perhaps the channel was deleted). Btw, to anyone who enjoys this, I would recommend buying Mr. Hamauzu's album, Piano Works δ・ε・T_Comp 1, which features a number of "α" CLOCK pieces.
omg, this brings back so many memories.. i remember 9 years ago i used to hear these songs on the sony alpha clock website & it helped me to relax back when i was in college 🙂
I was in virtual high school at the time procrastinating while enjoying it, warms my heart someone made it more easily available. Cool that we share a great moment too
It was a bit hard to listen to music by opening the app or going to the homepage, but now I can easily listen to it on RUclips. Thank you so much for uploading this video.
I love all these music pieces but this versions are not available on spotify especially my favorite piano pieces base on my short research. i found some of the these pieces on Spotify but the composer is not the original one.....

I'm glad to meet this person's music as the same Japanese. The game music called FINAL FANTASY 13 is my treasure. You can concentrate on your work both privately and at work. I bought a CD as soon as I found this video. Thanks.
I completely agree with you. Masashi Hamauzu's music is a supreme treasure. The OSTs for Saga Frontier 2 and Unlimited Saga are full of european medieval RPG dream.

honorary mention: Hiroyuki Sawano (can't forget him)
never read a truer comment
Masashi's a genius
theres definetly something about the harmonies and melodies that make it sound quintessentially japanese, also ravel in some places.

Would anybody be so kind as helping me with the name of the church in Czech Republic at 29:01 ?
I think the one on the left is the Prague Castle and the one on the right the Church of Our Lady Victorious and the Infant Jesus of Prague
00:13:12 reminds me of world of final fantasy
