I think it comes down to balancing. High Tier players in HD1 avoided Mechs because high tier equip was better. I think with low ammo capacity for the Anti Tank rounds like the OG Walker that is given because above challenging a Railgun is more effective to carry than a 8 rocket mech. For crowd control that Minigun is very good. Higher Tier Mechs could use multicrew so that your squad effectiveness depends on how many Mechs for what purpose you wanna bring vs 4 foot soldiers with high tier weapons and stratagems to their disposable
It will prob be a stratagem available in any mission. Just it competing for one of our limited 4 slots will make it a hard to justify picking depending on mission type.
I really hope we get vehicles like the Tank, Bike and APC in Helldivers 2. Sounds so fun. Also I think they'll probably limit it so either you get one mech per mission per person or maybe limit it so only one player can use a mech at a given time so the entire team isn't mech'd out. Tho I bet there'd be some fighting over who gets to use it.
they can make the mechs regular stratagems and just like anti air they can they can make anti mechs drop planetary effects were than you have to make several missions to defeat that effect to then be able to use mechs it would be a great system to encourage people to finish of mostly concerned planets. they have kinda done this with aircraft stratagems.
I think if we ever had the MCVs (multi-crew vehicles), definitely the reloading physics should be on it. For examples if the vehicles or 4-man crew mechs are severly damage, there should be a mechanic repairing it and someone can reload those big guns on the move while the other player's using those guns other than the driver. Idk its just my opinion. Though im pretty the Devs have already know that. Just excited for it😁
I recon they will be one time use per person. Down side being the speed to get to different parts of the map in them. Im sure they will allow all your team to have one if thats how you want to play it. They seem to be about you having fun in their game. Also hope for some power armour. But hope for a 2 maned mech.
Yooo giga chad chum, do you reckon mech(s) will be coming at the same time the new warbond is released early next month? I really think that if mechs are kind of a gimmick, then they might let us have all the time... But looking how guns and stratagems work currently, even strong shit is not _that_ strong, maybe will be like you said , limited access or tied to some objective and/or requirements... More than mechs I'm looking forward to know how are they going to introduce new stuff in the game... (Locked behind new progression, or available to get w/ currencies we already have gathered, or both lol) Cheers
How did they work in HD1? Were they a call in with limited charges and if destroyed, that’s it? As much as I’m excited for mechs, I also don’t want it to remove from the boots on the ground basis of the gameplay.
I could see mechs in any mission because they’re slow. You’re not going to be able to call a mech and walk all across the map. You’ll use it in an area and most likely have to abandon it in order to make it to where you’re going if you want to have enough time to fully complete the mission.
I think they will be normal stratagems, one time call in. Also think there'll be no first person =/ hoping for a new kind of mech tho! I imagine the basic one will be a modern stomper
I think this game is entirely based on fun, and we'll be getting mechs as standard strategems, depending on their durability, they could really suck against the robots, with bile titans and mortar spewers, id say the mech will struggle to survive super long times against them either.. bile titans in particular will likely melt them when they get up close... we'll see! but i'm not against a team of mechs lol, besides if you get bored of it, just change it up
They are probably going to be slow to turn and move, and their ammunition supplies be limited so we can't just use one during a whole session. And they could also have a very long cool down time. So they'd be not very good on short missions in confined areas.
Main issue with Mech is there speed. Super slow so a lot of people in the first game didn’t run it. I think it’s going to be a stratagem used in defense missions. Small maps with short missions. Vehicles will be a better choice in the normal missions.
the mech is one operator, no first person. they are regular stratagems but single use per mission only APCs and LAVs also leaked, so 4 person vehicles are coming later. no mention of the bike yet also, AI SEAF troops you can call in as a stratagem. that one i feel like might be mission specific also mention of super earth maps in the code but they are all farms and atuff, nothing that sounds urban
Something what I don't think anyone has mentioned is that the mech with the dual autocannons looks like it has supply pack slots for ammo on it's arms, possibly a way to restock?
Hey Mogz I have a question not related to mechs but to the super citizen edition upgrade. Currently I already purchased the premium warbond through game progression, and if I want to upgrade to super citizen, I'll be receiving half of its content since this edition doesn't give you anything in compensation for already owning the steeled veterans warbond, like 1000 super credits. Do you know if they are going to release the content of super citizen separatedly? (armor set, weapon etc) or if they are going to change it so it gives you 1000 super credits instead of just unlocking the premium warbond?. I tried to join the discord to see if someone already asked this but the server is full, so maybe you know. Thanks and good video!
hey bro - unfortunately i dont have any info about that. Its a good point though, I think.. would definitely be a good idea for them to change the supercitizen edition to give SC instead of steeled veteran access. I'll see if I can find out any info on this from the devs
one of the devs replied to a question like this: "If you send your receipt and in-game name to support, they can manage it. Since the SC bug is one of the most persisting bugs, I´ll be honest though and say the line is long." so basically it sounds like you could maybe get a 1000sc refund if you already own steeled vet but upgrade to super citizen.
@@Mogz-hd that's really helpful bro, thanks for taking the time to look into this. I'll probably end up buying it, I already have like +5000 super credits but the armor is worth it, beside this is easily my game of the year so I don't mind spending some extra money
The WH40K fans know that this should've been how Games Workshop did it. Dreadnoughts and Tyranids. Hopefully Space Marine 2 doesn't get the neglect treatment they are notorious for doing.
I cant wait to face off against a bile titan in a mech and then screaming "for liberty" and unleashing hell on that oversized shrimp
yeh dude cannot wait!
Just give me a laser sword and I’ll be at peace melee definitely needs some flare

I am waiting for this to show those automatons that payback is going to hurt....for taking Malevelon Creek was a huge mistake
They will suffer for the poor citizens that they stole from their booths!🫡
Heavy Walker, Standard Walker and a Scout Walker would be best. I'd love different versions
It will prob be a stratagem available in any mission. Just it competing for one of our limited 4 slots will make it a hard to justify picking depending on mission type.
It would be cool if we could hang off of a teammate's mech with a one handed weapon and fire from it
I really hope we get vehicles like the Tank, Bike and APC in Helldivers 2. Sounds so fun. All the more reason to play solo or with close friends
@@diswazzi1683 Exactly, I'd love to zip around the map with my mate in a bike, that'd be so cool
Sounds like we will from the leaks
I really hope they don't limit the vehicles. Doesn't make sense for only one person to have a bike while everyone else is on foot
they can make the mechs regular stratagems and just like anti air they can they can make anti mechs drop planetary effects were than you have to make several missions to defeat that effect to then be able to use mechs it would be a great system to encourage people to finish of mostly concerned planets. they have kinda done this with aircraft stratagems.
Now u limited the mech to only 5 to 7 Difficulty at 9 u won't be able to get the mech
they should make it where you can use mechs all the time and if not only in higher difficulty to make it a fair fight
The game about having fun sometimes there’s like 10 Titans It might just be something that you call once a game

5:20 i remember they said they dont want to give something like that with warbonds so it should be most likely in the unluck screen of your ship

If you played the first game you would know, Mechs are slow, Vulnerable, One used ammo-dumper. They're gonna be regular stratagems for sure.
How did they work in HD1? Were they a call in with limited charges and if destroyed, that’s it? As much as I’m excited for mechs, I also don’t want it to remove from the boots on the ground basis of the gameplay.
In HD1, each vehicle strategem is for one time use only.
yep but u could bring 4 mechs if u wanted to, but ye each was single use
Single called with limited ammo. It is basically a timed super power up in exchange for a stratagem slot. Might or might not be worth it.
I kinda miss hell divers 1 ngl. The 3D is cool but the first one was just lit.

imagine those mech's in friendly fire :D
I think the hacker who leaked the mech footage, brought the mech in as a stratagem. So I think they will be stratagems

they wont limit them that would piss off alot of players I doubt they want that shitstorm
mechs as a objective is stupid... everyone will be vying to get into it instead of working as a team
