Thanks Koala, the white stripes cover up a couple of iffy bits 😁 I did try bending the stripe on the fuselage but it kept kinking so cutting out the shape I needed seemed a good way forward 👍 It wasn't that hard.
Such a useful video Cliff. Its great to see a builder re-engineer and change things during a build to make it better or to suit their personal taste. Modeling is the part of model aviation that so many folks learning today unfortunately don't learn. It amazes me the things some people on forums complain about when assembling a BNF foam airplane. They have no idea how really easy they have it. I like building, and always modify ARF's...and occasionally foamies to suit me. Your love for building is obvious, and your expertise is too. I like how you screwed the windshield on...so many kits/ARF's call for gluing them...I like to make them removable so if I need to take it off to get better access to work on something else I can. Pretty much everything you did with this one makes sense and betters the finished product. Nice covering job! Great video!
Thanks Adam, there is a percentage of flyers (albeit small) who are now getting into building and repairing their models so all is not lost 🙂 The plan calls for a screwed on windshield, I added a couple more screws for good measure, then, being longer, they came right through the post ... that's one of the things I've reported back to Dancing Wings 👍
Mind the gap! Loving all the details! I really like how the DW motor mount box has right thrust/down thrust baked in because the box isn't actually square by design.
Looking absolutely awesome!!! Cliff , very interesting to watch someone who knows exactly what they're doing, thanks and best wishes from Alan in Sheffield 🤗🤗👍👍👏👏👏
@@IansRCExploits Well, it has some but I've got the smaller of the two motors offered with the model so less torque will help, I was thinking a test glide first might be good to make sure it flies nice and level, then open the throttle and see how the model reacts ... but there's no more nice long grass around for a soft landing so I'll probably just 'go for it'!
Looks fantastic Cliff, ordered the SIG 1/6th scale Clipped Wing Cub kit for my next Cliff inspired build. Looking forward to the maiden, Salute Jeff in LA USA
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Thank you Cliff. Great set of vids. Just a shame DW didn't sort out that fiddly 'inside -the -wing servo/pushrods design', I did the same as you and went back to basics with external pushrods. I also was suprised that they didn't supply longer servo leads for the back end servos... I've just soldered in some extensions. I also beefed up my wings by running some 3mm carbon tubes spanwise in the rib hole line to match up with that 2mm thru' cabin cross tube. A great series and keep it up :) Thank you.
Ohhhhh you have done very very good job...just be careful about motor angle...
Hi Blaz, thanks, I have a cunning plan about that, I'll reveal it in Part 4 🤔😁👍
Your covering is of a high standard. I do like the white stripe separating the yellow from the black. I wouldn’t attempt curbed stripes.

You are an artist, beautiful job. Waiting for the maiden.
She's coming along, one more video yet though Dan, fitting it out etc, gives me chance to admire it for a bit longer 👍🙂

Thanks Cliff! You really do build some nice looking models. I can't wait for the maiden.
She is pretty Zolar, thanks 🙂
Nice covering detail on the fuselage, Cliff.
Thanks David, I'm just copying the box art actually 👍
Very good "monokoting" skills Cliff, i can´t wait to the maiden flight!
Fingers crossed Aero, thanks 👍

Cheers Tim, it's a nice touch, let's hope it's enough 👍
A beautiful bit of covering Cliff...you make it look so easy. And would love to be able to do it to your "standard" 😉😊
Hi Mike, thanks, like everything it's only practice, and it's not that good really 🙂👍
Fantastic job cliff look's awesome. 👍
Thank you Kevin 🙂
Lovely looking model there, hope it flies as good as it looks!
Me too Caroline, fingers cross eh, I could always stick an edf on it somewhere 😁👍
Wow its beautiful 😍 😢 👏
Thanks Just Enough 👍

Thanks Alan but only tinkering and thinking and tinkering some more 😁👍
"NNNIIICCCEEE!!!" "YOUR MASTER, CLIFF!" "CHEERS!"
Thanks Richard 🙂
Really great job Cliff, looks absolutely stunning!! I love the Black, yellow and white looks very striking!! Can't wait to see it flying 😄👍
Thanks Ian, the yellow is to match the streak down my back when I open the throttle for the first time 😁👍
Are it will be fine!! Do you think the motor has enough down and right thrust? That's what the Brothers had issue with 👍

looks sweet
She should look even sweeter in the air Rob 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes are you going to do aerobatics with this like the gyrocopter ?
@@robert43g Hopefully only intentional ones 😁👍

Fantastic Jeff, you've got the bug now 👍
Very impressive Cliff, every time I watch a build I learn something, all the Mods and Screen, colour etc was fantastic. Brilliant video 👍🏻
Thanks Chris, everytime I watch it back I learn something too 😁👍
Very smart looking airplane Cliff, well done my friend 👍
Thanks Jerry, I'm on the home straight now 👍
Great job, not far to go!
Thanks Bob 👍
Have enjoyed this series of video's on the DW Savage Bopper, but i would like to know where the kit is available from ?
Hi Peter thanks, I've just done a quick search and Aliexpress are selling them but it's still a very new kit 👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes Thanks for that Cliff and thanks once again for your enjoyable and informative video's.
👍👍👍
Cheers Robin 🙂
I can't find part 4 :(
Hi Larry, it's in the playlist link at the end of the video but I've now modified it to lead straight to Part 4, which is at the end, cheers.
