    I should note. The motor angles worked out to be about 14mm down and 10mm of right thrust measured at the end of the motor shaft (for the RCGF Stinger 35cc SE).

    The springy canopy is a GOOD thing. A little tension keeps screws in place, it hugs the airframe, and springy plastic is durable. You make the best RC videos on the net.

    I've been wanting a Savage Bobber ever since I first saw it many years ago. Nobody had made kits, ARFs, or any other forms except for ZLIN on their website, at limited quantities.
    How i had started my kit was that I had decided on a size that I had wanted and hand drawn up plans using pictures and plans for a Cub as reference. Once the drawings were done I had bought the raw materials like balsa, CF rods and plywood and began to prepare for assembly. Unfortunately I had gone through some life changing events (divorce and relocation) that had put my projects on the back burner. Now that things have settled down and my life have become the new normal I need to resume my build. But, when I had discovered that Dancing Wings hobby had a one meter kit I had immediately placed my order one one. Unfortunately I had nothing but issues with the electronics, both from the kit and aftermarket because the factories were producing parts with poor QC. So my DW Bobber has also been put on the back burner.
    I have so many projects that are either nearly complete, partially finished, or are still in raw form that my to do list is growing. It doesn't help any that I had bought a brand new motorcycle back in August either. Now that the cold weather is settling in here in northeast Utah I can start focusing on my indoor projects.
    Anyway, I've already said too much, so with that, thank you for another awesome video. Now I'm wanting this Savage Bobber! But it'll have to wait until I can get some other projects finished, like my 1:4-3/4 scale Phoenix Models Westland Lysander, which is only needing electronics and a motor to finish.

      I see a DW logo on the tire and the manual looks just like other Dancing Wings planes I have. I'd bet a bar night this is a Dancing Wings planes with someone elses name slapped on it. MotionRC also sells some Dancing Wings stuff with their Skynetic logo slapped on.

    This model definitely has caught our eye...hopefully they publish the wing area soon. It's blank on the product page. Curious as to the wing loading at the published weight. Only bummer we're seeing so far is the plain as opposed to scale slotted flaps and the big struts potentially being a pain in transport. Looking forward to seeing your flight video!

    Hey Fitz, always love watching your videos! How do you feel about kits that require so much manual intervention when it comes to needing to modify certain things (like the dashboard) or drilling out larger holes etc. Do you consider that a fun part of the experience or do chalk it up to poor manufacturing etc?

    • @HobbyView
      @HobbyView  Год назад +2

      I'm personally not too bothered about it, but I can see how some are. Hopefully by pointing these things out, manufacturers can pay a little more attention to details or at least modelers can see that these issues can be easily overcome in assembly.
