  • How To Propagate Bougainvillea from stem? Here in this video, I have shared a new method of growing Bougainvillea from flowering branches. Even though, Bougainvillea is very easy to grow from Harwood cuttings, we can grow many new plants from flowering branches without damaging the money plants.
    Give it a try and I hope you would like the result. Thank you for watching and please don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions! Happy Gardening :-)

    Hello ,gardening update ! I found the information very useful as I am also trying to grow bougainvillea from stem cuttings . I live in Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, where the roadsides are thick with bougainvillea for most of the year ,the climate here bring just perfect . (From one shot in your video ,it seems you also might be living in the same area !) . I was delighted to find from your video that aloe vera gel can serve as the perfect rooting powder for this flower ,as by chance ,even before seeing your video ,and without knowing it ,I too have planted my bougainvillea stem in a pot where a dead aloe vera plant kept before has enriched the soil ! A most delightful video !❤

      Thank you so much for your feedback and wish you all the best! Mussaenda Erythrophylla is bit difficult to root. Try to use only Sand and if possible, follow the method I have shown here - ruclips.net/video/XE43mFIMpGI/видео.html
      Would try to upload a video soon!

    Hello hello! I tried the hammer method and it's awesome. any shock after the separation of the cuttings tho? I am really scared to do that.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  Год назад +1

      WOW..that's a great news and Congrats n happy for you! Yeah, there would be some shock after separating..but, nothing to worry much n don't be scared :-) Make sure to keep the soil moist and plz keep them (after transplanting) under indirect sunlight at least for 3-4 days before providing direct sunlight. Please note - only under indirect sunlight, not in very low light!

    Useful video.can you please tell how many days we have to keep in shadow area

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  Год назад +2

      Thank you very much :-) Well, it's okay even if we don't keep under sunlight after some specific day. But, they may be leggy and I keep under sunlight so that they grow well. How many days -> It would be difficult to say the exact number as there are many factors. But we can do it depending on some symptoms. For example, after someday, you would be able to see new growths. Wait for some more days (like 7-10) and see how they are doing. If they are starting to grow well, we can provide direct sunlight. Again, please avoid whole day sunlight initially. It's better to increase direct sunlight exposure gradually.

    How often should we water the cutting

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  11 месяцев назад

      It would depend on many factors actually...but still, we can do once sand looks dry. Here is an example - if I do in Spring or in Summer, I water once in 4-5 days. Just need to keep the sand moist and this interval works in my place. If it's dry in your place and water evaporates much faster, you may need to water more frequently.
