    I had done something similar with my bike, I've mounted 2 12 volt sealed gel rechargeable batteries in a 24v configuration and purchased a pair of dual trumpet air horns sold at auto parts stores, my contraption is a 3 trumpet horn cluster that is bolted to my front fender and I hit that horn button vehicular traffic stops at intersections thinking a train or giant heavy machinery is crossing.
    I'll post a video on my channel at some point in the not too distant future.

    What kind of horns are this or where did you buy these? And what kind of triggers or things do you use to regulated the pressure? I want to build something like this myself but i dont know where to start. This info would rally help!

      Hey really sorry I didn't reply for all this time, haven't looked at my old YT content in ages. By the way unfortunately I can't give you any better info than this; here in New Zealand they cost $100 off TradeMe as of 2014, it comprised a 12V compressor with a FaLaFaLa sound effect mode. Lol I made my self an air tank with two 2L pepsi bottles, used 'very' strong glue to seal them up with the hose, bought a few parts including a tap valve and an old bike valve. I didn't have a pressure regulator, however I pumped it up to 70PSI which gave the horns a great blast. Hope I gave you some reasonable info here or have found out for yourself. Good luck. Thanks for watching :)

    I came up with a great idea because I sick of cars doing the wrong thing and people too busy on their phones to get out of the way , So gave it some thought and came up with this.
    I bought a JBL go3 portable blue tooth speaker and downloaded a car horn app and an air horn app linked them with my Iphone and it is better than the real thing .
    even though the speaker is small it has more than enough volume . I have allready tried it doing the bay cycle in leichhardt and used it a couple of times and it works really well even when the headphones are in there ears they can still hear it and move I think I gave a couple of people mini heart attacks when I used the air horn.
    I am suprised no one has come up with this before for such a simple idea . It might be a costly option ($59 from jb hi fi) but how much can you put on safety and works on any phone with blue tooth android or Iphone

    Yeah, I like my ass the way it looks now and not how it will look when that ghetto pop bottle setup explodes. Also, you'll get 6 blasts at most before you need to run a compressor again to bring the pressure back up to get enough to blast it again. at best you'll get 3 seconds solid of horn.

    Use a bit of common sense -- There is no way that a couple of soda bottles can provide the volume or pressure needed to operate those horns.

    • @CHARLES202able
      @CHARLES202able  7 лет назад +3

      I assembled my truck horn via two 2 litre pepsi bottles, used some strong glue to make sure it was air tight, and fitted a bike tyre valve to one of the bottles and an air tap to the other. I used 10mm hose and taps, valves etc for it. I used a Y-valve so I can get the air to both of the horns. In this video I hadn't had the best form of an air trigger so the hose from it to the horn was floppy as shown. I guess the DIY part is to make a successful air tank system for the horn. BTW I used about 70PSI of air. Good luck.
