I remember I made a list of things I wanted for later versions when Live 8 was the latest and greatest and groups within groups was one of my top wishes! I got curved automation in Live 9 but I'm so glad it's finally here! Thank you so much!!!

That helped me loads.
That’s really cool, I assume behind the scenes it’s creating a return track and outputting those tracks into it? It’s a lot much more intuitive and more organized to do it this way
Hi. You want to take a quick shot at my issue? I've got Bass and drums in one Group all correctly routed. And a guitar group consisting of eight guitar parts I've played all correctly routed. It's uncanny. I solo the bass&drums group which I call "LO Grp." One guitar not in that group (obviously) is still heard! Nothing is playing or looping in arrangement view - indeed there is at the moment no audio at all in arrangement group. This is tremendously worrying. Reminds me of when click track was heard on other tracks (not from mics, these were MIDI tracks). There was no solution.
How can I arm a group while it's closed? I know I can custom map the record buttons within the group but then I don't get LED feedback for that one channel on my midi mix. How come groups don't have a record arm button that simply arms all tracks within the group?
Can you add a track to an already existing group? For example I have a Group for Kick Snr & HH, and then later I create a Toms track. How do you add Toms to the KSH group?
Take the track you wanna add and slide it to the group. Just like when you slide a file into your recycle bin. Same thing when you wanna take it out. Select it and slide it out of the group.
Ableton A feature I've long asked about. Is there any way to automate a group master (volume) per scene? Any Max for Live device - anything!...that will allow me to simply automate the master?
I don't see how I can actually select more than one track to group them then, since i can always only select one track at a time/ can only mark one blue.. can somebody help ?
Whatever works for you. If you are going to use the same effect on several instruments in a group, you should just put it on the group track to save both time and CPU power.
Sounds like mariokart menu music
Totally Does :)
I was going to type the same thing!
Whoo hoo! Got through all 49 videos. Nicely done, lots left to find through practice and exploration!

That would be cleaver.

@@neutralfog Thanks man. I don't know what I was doing wrong!? So simple! LOL
Are there any major differences between grouping and bussing when mixing?
How do you group a kick from a drum rack track with a bass track with out it grouping your whole drum rack. cheers

Do i add the effects on the group channel or do i still have to add them individually ?

Please disregard my below comment. Somehow I was recording a guitar back into the "LO Grp," bad routing on my part. Sorry!
GOOD OL OLLIE HAHAHA

you bedroom musicians have no respect for salsa
