Street Running Local Freight Train Leaving Distillery Spur, Indiana & Ohio Railway! Street Trams!

- Indiana & Ohio Railway short line. Leaving the Seagrams distillery industrial spur then street running in downtown Lawrenceburg, Indiana! Also a HUGE CSX mixed freight with a DPU goes right down the middle of the street while cars cross multiple railroad crossings right in front of the locomotives. Catching the local at the historic distillery is very difficult. A school got to wait for the train crossing US50 on the distillery spur. Lucky kids! The short local Train 881 had to wait for the huge Train 576. The conductor on the 81 train had to hand switch the track after the 576 passed. I filmed both trains from opposite sides of the tracks to make it interesting. CSX owns the tracks and I&O has trackage rights. This CSX line runs from Louisville, Kentucky to Cincinnati, Ohio. Road freights are directional and only run from Louisville to Cincinnati. Trains running from Cincinnati to Louisville use a different line called The Short Line or LCL Sub. Filmed March 7, 2019. That horn is the king 👑
Jaw tooth on the scene, street running trains are very unique and rare. Nice to
See local switching still going on. Long
Trains and DPUs are pretty special too
Be well and stay safe out there.🚂💪🏼❤️
It's really awesome to watch trains pass under the pedestrian bridge.
The residents must really love that operation!
As you always say "they emptied the yard with this one". Great video!
It's also cool watching that signal in the distance activate.
As usual you NEVER DISAPPOINT w the "STREET RUNNING TRAINS" as you know I've mentioned b4 they're my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! Great job and keep up the good work my friend!
Glad you like them! I have a list of 10 more that I want to film that i have never been to. I hope in July I can start getting the new street runners. My street running playlist is going to be huge when I get all the new spots added
Intreaguing road passage. Thanks all the surroundings are pleaseing to the eye.
What a huge train.Lots of crossings. The train coming out of the distillery wasn't bad either. Thanks for the great video!
I showed this to my brother who said "Focus, dedication, camerawork. The three legs of excellence." So there you go. Keep up the good work!
Awesome! Thank you!
Best of all worlds....(sort of) street running, short line and main line freights!
Perfect timing for that school bus.

Street running! I LOVE street running freights!! Very cool, great video here Jaw Tooth.
I never knew trains went down the streets of towns until I started watching these.
Check out my street running playlist for more of these in different states
Great video! I love the old crossing signals!
Thanks for another great video!
Excellent stuff cheers Jt. Chris from England 🏴
Dang. That was long! Especially for street running.
Thank you for nice video. I am appreciate it. Grettings from Sweden.
Super busy place and fantastic Train Video 💖
I like those lightning bolt decals that they put below the side windows on those CSX locomotives.
Wow what a huge train looks great fantastic video brian!!!!!
Nice one there, JT!! I also enjoyed the working old time directional signal!! We need to get the ones on the Peavine working, just for nostalgia's sake, lol
Can’t believe I missed you on my way to work this morning! I’m glad you finally got to visit my home town and see some of the train action out here!
Actually I have been to Lawrenceburg quite a bit. Its one of my favorite towns in Indiana
Very good. Thank you

Another great video- I am in the UK and love seeing these US freight trains. But I am amazed how many cars ignore the red lights at the crossings! They are bonkers.....
Awesome shots 👍🏻
Excellent video!!!

another great video Jaw, keep em coming man.
big thumb #3
Great video. Enjoyed it.
Always interesting! I would love to see a whole collection of "Idiots"!
What an amazing video with that long freight train going down the centre of the town. It must cause a long hold up on the roads that go over it! Keep up the good work, Martin 🇬🇧
Thanks for watching!
There's a bridge where that CPL is, the townspeople can get around the train if it stops.
Thanks Jeffery, for informing me of this fact, it just seemed to me that chaos could and would happen in this town with long trains going through! Martin
@Truth seeker the branch line going over fifty doesn't have one, that's true, but there is a road going under the tracks. Front and AEP st.
Great video Brian, throughly enjoyed 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thank you!
Jaw tooth you got a good angle of the train coming in keep up the good work
Love Street-running trains! Awesome
I love it👍👍👍🙂
Wow video is amazing a big like for this one👍🏻
thank you for sharing
Nice video. I bet those people were losing their minds waiting for that train to go by.
Videos are awesome always.... keep up the good "live Action " whooooh... lol
Very cool my friend! You're right...lucky school kids!!👍👍
GREAT VIDEO!!
There is something similar to this street running track in Shakopee, Minnesota. In downtown Shakopee, the train tracks cut right through the middle of town. Those tracks are owned and operated by Union Pacific Railroad. There are 10 crossings and only 3 of them have gates. Shakopee has wanted to make that area a quiet zone for a long time, but that would cost a lot of money because of all the crossings that need upgrades to make it a quiet zone. So it's better if it's not a quiet zone.
Awesome. That's quite a long train to have running through town. The local seemed more appropriate.
172 cars with the DPU after car number 86
Thanks for counting! I was hoping someone would so I don't have to. lol
172 cars wow that's a lot
I enjoy watching switching, a train going into emergency, broken coupler, etc.....but it takes a real Foamer to count cars on a video!
@@talonpilot a real foamer would have a spread sheet with a break down of the different car types and reporting marks. LOL
Juan Matos you got that right
Great Video
Haha!! First again!! Awesome video, Brian.. As always..
Man, that was a long train 172 cars and 3 engines pulling it! Awesome! all of those cars must have run out of gas at the crossings! Live Action!
Lovely video, thumbs up :)
Monster train!!! I bet the people there love that.
Nice vid JT DPU long train.
CSX Q576 is actually Radnor Yard Nashville Tennessee to Queensgate Yard Cincinnati Ohio. You were right about the destination.
Hi Jaw Tooth: Cool locations for rail-fanning. 😎 Like when trains are part of a downtown area.
• Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
Thank you Gary!

Fantastic🤗👌👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌
Today's a Jawtooth kind of day!!! Gonna binge some videos son!!!!
Love the video Brian! I don’t know how far west on route 50 your willing to go, but a rarity is happening the next 3 days on the CSX Illinois Sub on the St. Louis side.
The Illinois Sub has been mothballed for over 4 years. 210 rail cars were stored since last year and are all being retrieved. 10 mph running and all crossings being flagged. This seems like a good job for the Jawtooth to document!
Wow, that would be awesome! I'm looking it up on Google Maps but I doubt I can make it. Where exactly is that at? I'm looking for it right now
So the exact area is from East St. Louis to Shattuc Illinois all on US Route 50. The line is severed at the BNSF diamond and a huge cut of cars is sitting directly West of there. There is also a passing Siding in Aviston completely full of cars as well.
The plan is to take power from ESTL on Wednesday and make return trip Thursday and or Friday.
All moves MUST be made during the day. Here is a link on more info.

Wow that second train was a long one.
Wow that's a huge cargo they have CSX
Nice video!
3:37 squirrel looked both ways before crossing
Wow, how did you see that?! You must have a big screen or really good eyes
@@JawTooth 24" and 1 really good eye, the other not so much. but the real question is why is the squirrel hanging out downtown?
I saw him too. At first I didn't think he'd commit to going all the way but he did..
@@juanmatos2623 A rhetorical question is a figure of speech in the form of a question that is asked to make a point rather than to elicit an answer.
@@juanmatos2623 you actually deleted your comment so what difference does it make at all?
Neat video! I sure enjoyed the street running ... many street crossings too. I was surprised that each street crossing did not have typical railroad crossing signage?
like the mini van going through red as train just clears highway
bonjour Jaw super convoi très impressionnant a bientot
I love this street trains but I didn't think this but school bus was going to stop for the train
There are actually several distillerys at the old Segrams. The one the local was coming out of is MPGI. and the one south of us50 is Proximo. That complex stretches all the way to In sr 1. At Anchor glass. I love the old brick whses and factories. The Trains are cool to. Great job as always.
Ps. NS Sharonville is putting in a thru track siding for the intermodal trains and adding a spur. Thats 4 tracks for loading/ unloading containers. And paving/paved all the dust bowl. Maybe i can keep my truck cleaner now. Lol.
I didn't know that. I wonder if I can see any of it from public property. Thanks for the info
@@JawTooth if you go up hwy 1 off of us 50 turn left in front of Anchor glass. That will take you back to us 50 the plants are 1 block west the whole way. So any road to the right. Explore. A rr track goes under Hwy 1 if you turn right not sure whose rail it is. Anchor glass gets sand cars alot. But you cant see that from the road.
Ns Sharonville medallion rd. Maybe. Not sure on that one.
It stretches from sharon rd to glendale milford.
awesome video jaw tooth :)
a total of 170 and 680 axels cars and 3 engines with 18 axels counting the two at the stat and the one in the middle on the second train for a total of 698 axels in total cool video
Good Video Here In Los Angeles We Don’t Have Trains Running In The Middle of The Road But If We Do THATS RARE GOOD VIDEO
There is streetrunning in Anaheim, I seen it back in 02 during trip to California
That last auto rack on the CSX really gets around... Unless there's another one painted the same I've seen that one in Jersey
Amazing and Good Catches 🇮🇳. Jaw Tooth
Placard UN3065 is "Alcoholic beverages" Turn to Guide #127 in your ERG. :-)
BTW...nice product placement advertising with that Budweiser truck crossing the tracks at the end. LOL's
I had to look back again. Lol
I love the little squirrel that ran across the tracks around 3:39! The Indiana & Ohio Railway color scheme and units are identical to our San Joaquin Valley Railroad down in the San Joaquin Valley. I've noticed that scheme in several other shortline railroads around the country. Do you have any info about that? Also those people who pull up, see a train approaching, and then decide to cross-wow. Don't worry folks, I'm sure the train will stop for you guys.
The monstrous trains that block crossings reminds me of my grandfather, who was chief of police and later elected numerous times as precinct constable. If a train blocked the crossing in my small burg of 5,000 for more than five minutes, and he was stuck at the crossing, he was out of that 1947 Chevy with the zhoop aerial on the back bumper and into the yardmaster's office, which was by said rail crossing. Small town and with both crossings being blocked, law enforcement and the volunteer fire department had to have access to the eastern side of town.
In those days, it was a busy SP line. 13 tracks, switch engine, PFE ice rack, car repair shed, signal men who rode those motor cars up and down the line, roundhouse complete with turntable. Trains could continue north/south to Dallas/Houston, or take the route to San Antone and west towards LA or back to East St. Louis, I think it was. Those were the 'Blue Streak' freights. Within the city limits, the SP and MoP shared an interlock. The MoP ran east/west and about five or so miles west of my home town, Mop trains could continue east/west or wye north/south to Ft. Worth or Houston and vice versa. It's all gone now. The yard is pretty much deserted. The ice rack was torn down years ago, and sometime in the 60's an overpass was constructed over the tracks.
Thanks for allowing me to reminisce, Jaw Tooth.
That is a cool story! I hope there are pictures of how it was. Those were the good days. I got in on the end of it
Boy. Sounds great. Railbuffs paradise it sounds like. I live on the top of NY state but my favorite RR has always been the Southern pacific. Their history and special rosters through the years is like no other! Cab forwards, Mountains, Streamlined Pacifics, The Daylights, right up to the Tunnel Motor era and beyond. No other RR comes close.
YESSSS New Jaw Tooth!! Niiiccee!!
As a Brit I find it completely fascinating how the US still has street running and, like many other countries, has no form of physical barrier between the tracks and people. If I had to guess I'd say 99.9% of all tracks in the UK have some form of fencing either side of the tracks, even out in the the countryside. I've certainly never seen any sections of track without fencing. And apart from two cases where leisure only trains have to share bridges with road traffic (a narrow-guage in Porthmadog, Wales and a standard-guage in Preston, England) there is no longer any form of street running in the UK. The last two street runs were the harbour line in Weymouth, England - closed to regular services in the late 80s and any use in the late 90's - and a small freight only section in Manchester, England - which was actually next to the street rather than sharing the road (the track has now been ripped up and the only surviving traces are at level crossings).
I was in Modesto, California, a few years ago and would go out to watch the trains, much to the bemusement of the Americans I was with) rolling right through the middle of the town with absolutely no physical barrier between myself or the trains.
Yep, out this way there are no barriers. Down in Fresno, California, where I go to do my shopping, people regularly get hit by trains at crossings. Train horns are not allowed at some of the crossings so I'm sure that accounts for a lot of the accidents. But two weeks ago, a child was killed when his family's minivan stopped on the tracks in traffic and was hit by an Amtrak train, and that crossing did have a train horn. It was just carelessness, sadly.
Well, in places like India, Pakistan, USA, and other, similar, "Uncivilized countries", it's called "Culling the Herd", where if you are mentally deficient enough to step in front of a moving train, a truck, or cross a runway with an oncoming airliner, or stick your middle finger in the barrel of a biker's 12 Gauge Mossberg, You'll learn quickly, NEVER to do it again! Whereas, in GB, Can.(which Italians call Uppa U S,), where you should all eat with rubber utensils, so you can't get a lobotomy with a metal one, and practically should have vehicles with foot thick bubble wrap protection ALL AROUND, but sad to say you have NOT YET built steel domes over your countries to protect against Asteroid hits! And here I thought you were determined to protect your people from stupidly endangering themselves by going outside of foam padded rooms!
SORRY, scratch the airplane comment, because Harriers, and Helicopters can land STRAIGHT DOWN !!! Better BAN them too. Don't want your people getting sore necks, from watching up above themselves too.
I cannot imagine how powerful those engines are to pull that many cars, weighing empty ? 5000 pounds? loaded? total weight? has to be astronomocal weight.
I'll tell you one thing 5,000 pounds is a lot of weight
I wish they had street running trains over here!
You should come to Pine Bluff,AR & see our street running,it's similar to that street running
I will look that up on Google Maps. I love street running. Thanks for watching!
Great job! Thanks!

Super 👌
Imagine how people are going to react when they have to wait too long for the CSX train to come through think about it
Super video dear Brian :) Like 417

Nice Horn
There was today here 1 doku on Discovery channel how they build the E.V.O. lokomotivs in the U.S.A. the engine is 87000CC,mine chopper 1100cc,lol.was very interesting to see.
New info about that line, It is an as-needed line and they are talking about bringing intermodal east and westbound we will see if that happens.
Cool
Appreciate the locals and your updates. But would love to know where those cars are going or coming? What are the shipping??
Time 5.23 woah awsome sir 😅😅😅😅
School kiddos get to sea a tanker of Seagram's 7. 😂
Also, nice depressed flat car on the street runner.
Those I’ve seen lol, was more fascinated by the six axle car behind it; curious if they are off to get a load or going home after dropping one off?
The Budweiser driver is behind schedule now. Hale to the Tough this 4th of July!
Fantastic video, Brian, love the 'street running' stretch, and yes, that guy at 5:20 is an idiot... ;-)
You said it he's supposed to stop because that train was coming closer
Great video Jaw Tooth
I'm sure when you video for 2 hours long? If I'm correct? Thumbs up Jaw Tooth 👍 Also Beautiful pictures ✌
I always spend a least a few hours railfanning. Trains have to wait all the time for something
@@JawTooth
I hear ya..... Are you publish railfan, Train? Just asking. Because you set up the video perfect and beautiful angle also pictures. That's why I noticed big difference between others my opinion....
