- Looking At RR Crossing Gates Storage When Norfolk Southern Train Whizzes Past Me & Then CSX Passes On Other Side Of Me! Trains Passing On Both Sides At Cool Railroad Crossing. These trains are in Walton Kentucky at a railroad crossing with gates at one side and only cross bucks on the other side. Check out the old Pillsbury blue covered hopper car on CSX manifest! CSX main line runs between Cincinnati Queensgate Yard and Louisville, Kentucky. The Norfolk Southern main line runs between Cincinnati and Chattanooga, Tennessee. We also see Norfies favourite hiding spot when she wants to sleep in piece and we see Chessie begging for dog biscuits. After that we see them playing together. Filmed on a cold day on April 6, 2022

That's a prime spot for rail fans to live, wow!
That first train looks awesome flying along that banked track around that gentle curve - perfect shot!
Love trains in the rain, the rails sing. That was great, but you need to bundle up ( sound like a parent don’t I ) 😁 thank you.
😁
Another great video today. That last train was a long one. Thanks for the pets. See you on the next!!
Thanks! You too!
So much for that little local train.😀 A couple of good manifests on a gloomy day.
Cool stuff JawTooth. I'm a NE Pennsylvania rail fan. I travel frequently throughout the 48 states and always have a camera ready!
It's really bookin'!
Love centerbeam cars. Saw 12 this time. Norfie😻
SLEDGE HAMMER TO CRACK A NUT THAT CSX TRAIN, LOST A FEW WAGONS FOR 3 LOCOMOTIVES 😁 GREAT CAB TO SHORE RADIO CHATTERI ALSO. NICELY DONE JAW TOOTH
Thanks 👍
You lucked out there. Cool video!
Thanks!
I noticed a lot of boxcars in the first train too.
Hi Bill, we are all seeing an increase in boxcar usage, do you think just maybe the new younger generation just isn’t having driving all night and day being gone long periods of time, you see the “we pay this a mile, home on weekend BS on the back of the trailers all the time, what a joke these CEO’s are trying to pull, we live in a 9-5 world ….. Joe might be called sleepy but he got his administration to have the STB call the CEO’s in on the carpet last fall and get these D*** trains moving…….anyone remember oscar ( i dont have a heart I worked at cs** ) munoz…….?
MS Hum53. I am seeing a lot more trucks on the road for the last year or so, with longer trains too. I believe the reason for the lower sighting of box cars is the increase in the use of containers over the last couple of decades. Every 3 or 4 containers used in shipping, would eliminate 1 box car.
Started watching that CSX and lost track of what day it was when I started watching it!
I sure wish there were more of the CSX trains or whatever they are that worked in and around the steel mills. Bring the Steel Mills and those trains back to Pennsylvania.
I retired from the Steelton Plant I worked in the Rail mill located in the town of Steelton Pa. They are still producing rails at this time. Steelton Highspire Rail Road shifts the cars for the mill. Last time I went by 4 of them were sitting on a spur track. Not sure what's going on with that.
Very nice job enjoyed your video
Thank you very much!
Awesome video Jaw Tooth and enjoying watching now 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😃😎❤awesome Jaw Tooth
Thank you so much 😁
I wish we had locals like that around here. Another good video and the critters are a nice touch.
Thanks 👍
Good Morning Jaw Tooth!
Good morning!
Hi Jaw Tooth! Happy Saturday my friend! I’m binging watching videos of you’re I’ve missed! Have a great day!
Thanks for the visit and thanks for watching my videos! I have a bunch of them for you
Cool video Keep them rolling. Just thought I would mention that the Reading 2102 steam locomotive is back in service completely restored. They did 3 tests with the locomotive. 1 was 50 coal cars. I was surprised how large it is 10 ft. longer than the Nickle Plate 765. First excursion is May 28th.
Where is this located ?
I read about that in Railfan. Can’t wait to film her!!

@@JawTooth Thanks !
Happy Birthday. Unfortunately, I'll probably get you the same thing this year that I got you last year!
CSX caught you out rel good that time! They took so long as they were emptying the yard specially to catch you out. Those locos were having to pull hard with that load.
You got that right!
Gosto muito de ver os trem e a paisagens.
Great video Jawtooth! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Timber on the bend 12.04 is spaced more like a fence than a railway track
Thanks for watching!
That was a real cool old Burlington Northern boxcar on there. And that Kansas City Southern boxcar was cool too. I'd love to have both of those in h o .
The second train had every kind of car in existence.
Thanks for watching!
YA jaw that a great spot love the old box cars 👍🏻 . Strange no gates for Csx hopefully no one gets hit . It’s Great your pet pals get along and play . 👍🏻 Be safe Man . 👍🏻🇨🇦👍🏻🇺🇸Robin
Thanks 👍
Three entire freight locomotives: F U L L P O W E R ! !
A whole ass freight train: "Ugh! FINE! But I'm only moving a LITTLE!"
Another great video. Thank you from Utah.
Thank you too!
Good made video, mr Jaw Tooth.
The train from NS running about 45 mp/h.
The train from CSX running about 20 mp/h, and the crew going to the years to give the train over to the collega's and they have no hurry. Home Sweet home.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Thank you very much!
Great train videos. Keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!
What a good day for it 👍
Yes it was!
Awesome freight trains JT!!!!
Thank you very much!
@@JawTooth You're welcome!!
Both trains were nice and looong :) I saw some nice boxcars on both trains - very cool! I like that defect detector - I have not heard one say train length before. JT always finds the cool stuff!
Thank you very much!
Amazing video jaw Tooth 👍🇺🇸 you americans are very good people 👍 this comment comes from Italy 🇮🇹🤗
Thanks! 😃
Very good video thanks Jaw Tooth
Glad you enjoyed it
YES!! Another jaw tooth video.
Besides the well worn ex-Pillsbury hopper there was a Lincoln Grain hopper near it and a ex-BN wood chip car at 9:15 on the CSX train.
Those trains were bookin hope you have a blessed week jawtooth and I thought I seen a little lightning at the beginning of the video I could be wrong stay safe
You were in the right place. One whizzes by, the other lumbers past. That second train seemed longer than 2 miles. Love the animals, too!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice video!!
Thank you very much!
Could feel the ground shaking when that first one went by!
April showers bring May flowers... May weeds in my case.
How old am I
I had a pager
And answered with a pay phone
more like SPillsbury LOL keep the videos coming, looking good!
Glad you like them!
The track being in curve, we can distinctly hear the noise produced by the friction of the wheel flanges against the inner side of the rails.
Reminds me of the tankers not far from the house. Can hear the engine running wide open and horn blaring long before it reaches the switch track. There's no traffic where it is, so guess the operator be board.
👍 Job.
Thanks 👍
Thank you for documenting these trains on 6 April 2022 at Walton, Kentucky, Jaw Tooth! That was an interesting crossing with gates on the Norfolk Southern tracks and just crossbucks at the CSX tracks. The next CSX crossing that the train crossed did have gates. That was a great surprise to see that former Pillsbury blue covered hopper car at 6:44 with the PMRX reporting marks. That car needs a new paint job to get rid of all that rust.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video!!!
Thanks!!
I lived in that area for a short time. That's a very busy track. Lots of trains everyday all day.
Yes, you are right
Through freight trains can pick up and set out cars en route..
Family lines Pillsbury Burlington northern woodchip blue boxcar pretty good
Yay, Jawtooth id back.
Good morning to all from SE Louisiana 2 May 22.
Hello Bill!
Hello from SW,Michigan
6:47 Pillsbury hopper car!
That first train was moving, the first few seconds looked like he was coming straight at you before the curve, nice filming.
That first CSX (7246) looked fairly new, or recently painted.
Great video !! Woooooo !! 👍 👍
Wow, what a catch
Thanks for watching !
Good Afternooon Jaw Tooth.
Hello William!
BTW, a can be negative, too. Try stopping a train with you car, truck, SUV, or semi. Physics in live action.
They must have oiled the wheels and axels, that train was quite.
I counted 132 cars i looks cold there. Fun video for sure
This Train appears to be way longer than we both thought Jaw Tooth
Trains on another rainy day
Thanks for watching!
Tried Pupperoni with our dog treats she loves it . Call them sticks but looks like beef jerky treats . Awesome video
That is awesome!
Good live action Son ...
I enjoy the video👍👍
Glad you enjoyed London!
VERY GOOD VIDEO !!
Thank you! Cheers!
A couple of great catches. I wonder why NS doesn't give the axle count like CSX does with their defect detectors? I think the CSX train was longer than the NS train was. Thank goodness the weather has improved since you shot this video. That was cute that Norfie was sound asleep. She gives back as good as Chessie dishes out. 👏 👏 👏
Great video as usual. We saw an interesting combination this morning. Eastbound train was sitting on the tracks apparently waiting it's turn at the Hauser refueling depot in North Idaho. There were a lot of bottom dump cars that we think are grain cars. The first engine was BNSF, the next two were Norfolk Southern and half way thru the string of cars were 2 BNSF DPUs , then the rest of the string of cars, and 1 BNSF engine on the rear. We usually don't see DPUs here let alone two! Very interesting!
Wow, that was an awesome train! I would like to film that. lol
Extra gating equipment in the cage.
Thanks for watching!
Good video Jawtooth
Thanks!
Catching up on some of the older ones now :)
ChainsawN&W1218, great weather for filming trains now that it's warmed up alot, but I'm like You I've filmed in all weather.
You got that right!
Nice!
Thanks!
Awesome video jawtooh
Thanks 😁
@@JawTooth u are welcome brian
NS: SD70ACE with Nathan K5LLA horn. Wooooooosh!!!
Kind of odd how the tracks are separated like that. Great trains, great video!
I know, right?
That "Local" was longer than the main train!
Yes, they added a huge cut of cars. Not sure how that happened
that joker longer than a Texas rail road
