Sapporo is a wildly popular coat pattern from Papercut Patterns. It is oversized coat with cropped sleeves, open front, tilted pockets, and drop shoulder.
Aside from looking so hip and modern, this pattern is also such a pleasure to sew, with so many cleverly thought out construction and design features in pockets, mitered corner, neckline facing, and lining.
The coat comes in 3 different sizes but of course for a petite size like myself, the smallest option was still too large. But shortening anywhere in the pattern would result in a completely different silhouette and feel than what this coat is supposed to look like.
Instead, I think I will scale down to 85 - 90% when printing out the pattern so I might have something that fit me better while keeping the overall ratio the same.

I had already seen this pattern on the channel of the Stitchy Bee, but after viewing your tutorial I will definitely give it a go as well. You make it look so easy!

This is fairly easy make with not so many pieces to work with. But the construction is still interesting and different from anything else :)

Itzela Regalado wah!!! Thanks for watching! I wish I was good in Spanish enough to subtitle myself, but I only learned it for two semesters!! If there’s any volunteer I’d be thrilled!

My English is very bad. But the translation is so well done, I understand a little

Now that I’ve started to include seam allowance as a visual element, it should be easier to make of what ur supposed to be doing even without having to read the subtitle. But if at all u have trouble understanding u can always ask and i’ll try to help as much as I can!
