Lelouch Vi Britannia If you played Retribution, in the Ork ending, he and Miss'ter Nailbrain sailed off onboard judgement of Carrion, they are probably stomping humies in another sector now.
I got really annoyed at this particular ending - i used the nids for my very hard playthrough, it was a challenge from beginning to end. Yet, the big beasty crying out in victory wasn't my standard issue hive tyrant, but the Swarmlord. Not gonna lie, It doesn't feel right that one tyrant single handedly brought back the invasion to aurelia, and gets cockblocked in favour of a special unit. "You saved the Blood Ravens, Diomedes!" "Don't thank me - all strategic credit goes to this land raider."
Well, the Hive Tyrant doesn't care about getting cockblocked, it's a servant of the hivemind that knows its place and doesn't require any more satisfaction than knowing that it has served its purpose.
I did my very hard run with tyranids. I found it fairly easy. In the final mission I spammed warriors with venom cannons and gave my hive tyrant a special venom cannon that was good against demons. They wrecked everything. Kyras was really easy.
Personally I always thought it was weird that Swarmy wasn't the 'Nids hero unit in this game. It's not like he's got places to be like the other faction heroes, the Hive Fleets basically just copypaste him whenever he's needed.
Damocles178 Well if mankind survived and enter a new age of prosperity (like in 80k or something) I guess they'd have historical documentaries of what happend in the 40k
+Kargath Bladefist (WoD) Well, more like scared of losing resources they can't replenish since they can't eat Necrons, and therefore unwilling to fight them.
+VestedUTuber My interpretation is that the Tyranids can only use biological or organic materials. The Necrons don't have any, being robots and all, so the avoid them.
@DrMlieko First of all, sorry for the huge number of typos in the first post. Secondly, I think that the fluff was written by Robin Cruddace. I agree that everything Ward writes sucks big time. I don't even consider the new Necron fluff canon. But aside from that, yes, only splinter fleets remain in the galaxy at the moment. Sure they have the potential to grow into major fleets again, but I doubt neither the Imperium not the Eldar are going to let that happen.
@Extraintrovert Unrecorded. There's only small splinters of fleets made bound in the 40k galaxy, probably a lot more attached to a homeworld of some kind.
@DrMlieko It shall not. The hive fleets have been destroyed. Oly small splinters remanin. New fluff also suggests that these fleets are actually the main fleets, instead if just fingers of the hand. Tyranids are history pretty soon.
No retreat! No surrender! (Om-nom-nom-nom) SPESS MEHREENS, WE HAVE (Om-nom-nom-nom) Hey, at least the hive fleet grows a pair after processing Angelos' genes in the post-om-nom-nom development .
Umm are you sure. Tyranid player here so I know the fluff and Hive Fleet Leviathan has yet to be defeated, only stuck in a protracted war with the orks. And it still says that the current Tyranids are only the scouts of the entire Tyranid Fleet.
@DrMlieko Yeah, now they are basically Tomb Kings in space. They are not the menacing, emotionless slave race intending to destroy all life anymore. Instead they are just like the Orks; random, unorganised jackasses incapable of posing a very big threat to the galaxy since they are too busy rivalling for power. You never know with Ward... I pray GW fires him before 6th edition. He has screwed up too many armies already. I used to like Ultramarines, you know -.-
Its funny how at 0:30 onwards when you hear him talking about the Blood Ravens you can hear regret in his voice.
Feels bad man ;;
come on, lads, I think we can still take em! WAAAAAAAAGH!!!!
WHERE IS KAPTAIN BLOODFLAG??!!!?!?
Lelouch Vi Britannia If you played Retribution, in the Ork ending, he and Miss'ter Nailbrain sailed off onboard judgement of Carrion, they are probably stomping humies in another sector now.
Qiu Shuang ik :3
Qiu Shuang an' then they live happy forevar an' got many little boyz, the end
Luckily this ending was only a theoretical proposition of what Sly Marbo would let happen to the galaxy if people didn't put him in their army lists.

I like to think that's Gabriel standing epically defiant there.

hensarita I mean, to be fair the land raider would run him over on "accident" if he didn't give it the credit.

Welcome to tyranids, individuals are meaningless.

do you know who is the Swarmlord? do you fucking know how he is?!
he is the tyranid equal of abaddon, only without the fail.
guess that's why the Blood Ravens won canonically huh?
In canon retribution there is no return of the Tyranids, or they have been stop by IG before they can became a real problem, same for Eliphas
La Bibliothèque Interdite I guess you are "without the fail" if you can't fail anymore
Of course! Abaddon have no arm! Swarmlord have four! It was obvious who's more sucessful.
peter siri He ate abaddon’s arms! It all makes sense now!
The blood ravens fought to the death? That's impossible! Their armor would have to be much larger to fit those giant balls!
Ha Ha this sounds like a documentary. I could so imagine us getting the privilege of watching this on the discovery channel if Tyranids were real :D
Damocles178 Well if mankind survived and enter a new age of prosperity (like in 80k or something) I guess they'd have historical documentaries of what happend in the 40k
They refused to retreat
Tyranid's their a problem for everyone.....even Necron's
Sundowner The Invincible
Well, Tyranids tend to steer clear of active tomb worlds, but they'll still fight over other worlds.
Tyranids.... Are scared of Necrons?!
+Kargath Bladefist (WoD)

Jamie Diamond
Exactly what I said.
The Hive Fleet comes in and says "Revenge Time Blood Ravens!"
in my opinion, scariest ending ever.
YES! MARCH ON!

@CommissarTails Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I believe.
Ohhh homage to Homeworld!!!
@DrMlieko It shall not. The hive fleets have been destroyed. Oly small splinters remanin. New fluff also suggests that these fleets are actually the main fleets, instead if just fingers of the hand. Tyranids are history pretty soon.
oh my god... homeworld 2 ?
No retreat! No surrender! (Om-nom-nom-nom)
SPESS MEHREENS, WE HAVE (Om-nom-nom-nom)
Hey, at least the hive fleet grows a pair after processing Angelos' genes in the post-om-nom-nom development .
Another day in the 40k universe. Tyranids eat all the things and a chapter of Space marines are whiped out.
As it should be
Congrats on finishing all campaigns BDC. Please take a break now. You won't have to post a DoW vid ever again for a long while!
So... apparently Jonah survived!
@CommissarTails Home world 2 is awesome.
And four Arms more
@JinRenegade That sounds like something from Star Wars. :P
That was almost as hammy as William Shatner's ham parties.
Oh hey, atleast Jonah made it!
@CommissarTails Space Hulk
Umm are you sure. Tyranid player here so I know the fluff and Hive Fleet Leviathan has yet to be defeated, only stuck in a protracted war with the orks. And it still says that the current Tyranids are only the scouts of the entire Tyranid Fleet.
but, the blood ravens refused to retreat
@JinRenegade why those this sound so familiar ?
Microsoft Sindri...
@JinRenegade Am I the only one here who know where thats from?
Our planets now bitches!
Nah, it sort of sounds like the intro to Homeworld 2
Then why is there still fighting?
When a Blood Raven falls, not one of his brothers falter.
[They refused to retreat]
Well there is plans of a Dawn of war 3
To bad that the Blood Ravens fall after all they had done to stop the Tyranids in the first time
This ending depresses me
If it makes you feel any better, this is non-canon.
I liked it. I consider it canon for me
omnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom
also... Gabriel?
0:32
D;
... DoW 3 in 2013 at least. Enjot hibernation BDC.
Seriously... even in the 41st millenium... who would talk like that???
blood ravens are dead :'(
@DrMlieko Yeah, now they are basically Tomb Kings in space. They are not the menacing, emotionless slave race intending to destroy all life anymore. Instead they are just like the Orks; random, unorganised jackasses incapable of posing a very big threat to the galaxy since they are too busy rivalling for power.

@NaelokQ Liar!
Imperial guard loses reached 94% before retreating? Are you kidding me?
Those are average numbers 🤣
YOU LIE!
a good ending to a shitty campagin
They refused to retreat
