There's a live video of Phil Collins performing in the air tonight. At one point he's walking up a set of stairs while singing and as he approaches the top a drum kit rises up for the fill, and as it rises up the audience loses its fucking mind. It's epic.

Sarah 017 Green Day sucks musically as far as live, but are one of the best bands as far as getting the crowd involved, it's one big party and everyone has energy flowing through them whether they are in the pit or in the nose bleeds. Billie is great with his onstage presence.
piratexander tired of playing songs? haha, no, it's just a way to get fans involved. Not many bands in the history of rock invite fans onstage at almost every show, and they have given hundreds of guitars away, and those aren't cheap guitars either.
I didnt say he sucked at guitar, but he can't sing worth shit live. I play guitar, never said he sucked at guitar, billie writes some of the most simple chord progressions and leads yet they sound amazing, and that takes skill.
I know the lyrics to Green Day songs, but, if I was onstage, I'd completely forget. This kid not only knew the song lyrics, but played well under the pressure. My hat goes off to you. And Billie Jo looked really impressed, too.
i know thousands of green day lyrics just from playing green day rock band then later on my guitar when i learned to play, depending on what song it’d be i would be able to do the lyrics at the same time or not but they always run through my head even if i cant sing them myself

Ikr? Its crazy how smooth the whole thing went. The fan had great control over his own performance, and the entire band is able to perfectly play a song they probably didn't even practice during the tour.

J.A.R." is a song by the American rock band Green Day. Written by bassist Mike Dirnt about a friend who died by suicide in a car crash,[4] the song was a previously unreleased track from the Dookie sessions but it was later featured on the soundtrack to the movie Angus in 1995. In August 1995, the song reached number one on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and spent 16 weeks on it. The song peaked at number 22 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart. The song was featured as the eighth track on Green Day's 2001 greatest hits collection International Superhits!, and on their 2011 live album Awesome as Fuck. The acronym stands for 'Jason Andrew Relva', a childhood friend of Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt. Jason Relva was born on November 16, 1972, and died at the age of 19 on April 18, 1992, as the result of injuries sustained from a car crash. Mike Dirnt wrote the song in remembrance of him.[5] In an interview, Dirnt suggested that Relva had intended to die by suicide since Relva had been reportedly going 95 miles-per-hour before the crash.[4] Jason Relva is thanked in the liner notes of 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours and Kerplunk. PopMatters listed "J.A.R." as the ninth best Green Day song, commenting "It's a winner in its own right, and in a sense, its bubbling bass, buzzing chord crashes, and Tre Cool's killer chorus drum beat is the Platonic ideal of a Green Day song."[9] Both Mark Hoppus of blink-182 and Chris DeMakes of Less Than Jake rated "J.A.R." as their favorite Green Day song. Hoppus stated that the opening guitar riff of the blink-182 song "What's My Age Again?" was created by him trying and failing to play the opening bass riff of "J.A.R." on his guitar. -Source: Wikipedia I believe it was recorded on Dokkie album demos, but it didn't make the cut cause the subject of the song wouldn't fit the rest of the album.

Love it! Green Day freaking rocks! And this kid is a freaking rock star!!!
I saw my first Green Day show 2 weeks ago. It was one of the best moments I have witnessed on my own... Drove all the way from Albany, NY to Pittsburg, PA. 8 Hours. I missed Weezer and Fall Out Boy, but I made it within 30 minutes of Green day. I already knew the setlist, but it didn't fucking matter. I've waited 17 years
7:29 Everyone does a double take. The force is strong with this one.
Love that the kid asked to play a deep cut. Just to show the professionalism; Mike was able to play a deep cut, unrehearsed. And the kid just emulated Billies forearm strum. This band makes me so fucking happy.
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen by far!
Green day set a great example to the younger generation, respect from a music man
I'm so happy for this kid. I'm literally crying happy tears.
They are such good guys!!!God thank you for bringing them to earth
This put a tear in my smile! Lol that was awesome Billie Joe that was a GREAT thing to do for that kid, he will remember that for the rest of his life, I know I would if my guitar hero did that for me!! 😁👍🏾
I didn’t know Ron Weasley played guitar 😂. Seriously this kid did an awesome job
This made me so happy 😊
It's cool enough to get to play guitar with them, but to tell them what song you want to play is so fuckin awesome
No kidding. What a legend.
Green day can hire him without a doubt
'U can keep that guitar'. Every I see greenday's concert..awesome
First of all, great job to the kid. I feel like even if I knew how to play these songs, if I went up there I would instantly forget everything. Also, it's impressive that they were able to play JAR with no notice, considering that's not a song they play often.
Ngl he also had a great voice for the song
I fucking love Green Day. This made me smile. I love when they do this.
This made me cry laugh smile....all the emotions!!! I fucking love Billie!!! GD is one of the best bands ever. Hearts of gold these guys have!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
