The 2600 is a fully analog semi-modular synth based on the legendary ARP 2600 from the 1970s. The sound creation possibilities on this synth are immense.
This is a great synth and Christmas tree !
Nice work, finally we get to hear some actual music with this thing.
Wonderful. I love it.
This is really enjoyable1 Such a relief to hear someone make actual music with the 2600! Keep up the good work!
A year since I last listened to this piece…. Still as fabulous as ever. True joy to listen to and so inspiring!
This is such a beautiful song! Well done.
Got one of my own.
This track was a big push towards getting it.
I live for music like this.
Your original is what sold me on the Behringer Odyessy and now 2600!
Wow!...that's great work, well done. Behringer should use this as a demo, Love it :-)
Man, I got goosebumps all over the body! Great presentation 👍
Whow this is such a beautiful track! Goes on my permanent collection. Thanks for sharing! 🙏
Bravissimo. Hai una anima allineata alle vibrazioni cosmiche.🤩
Love this track! It reminds me of when I'd listen to late night NPR radio for musical inspiration when I was a kid back in the 90s.
This video convinced me to start saving up. Very nice demonstration of the 2600's capabilities.
dude, 2600 with this unconcerned masterpiece. everytime I hear this track, i feel the desire to buy the ODYSSEY and the 2600. *sigh*
Hello, I hesitate between odyssey and 2600 the sound of the odyssey looks warmer what do you think?
Your music is so good!
Can you, please, do more? Your demos motivated me to buy my own synth 🎹
Every time you post a video I know it's gonna be worth watch and listen to, over and over again! :) I love all your fantastic work.
Thanks Anders!
Wow! How do you sequence tour stuf? Veri nice melodie. Låter kult!
Og dårlig engelsk herfra😂
Amazing instrument. Behringer opens the door to many talented musicians.
Beautiful!!! The B2600 sounds so gutsy... I thought I wanted one - now I know I really want one !
I love how you slowly make a story and the different layers of melodies; beautiful sounds. Easy to buy this synth hearing this :D
I was trying to convince myself to NOT buy a 2600, now because of your beautiful sounds and music I'm risking to buy one! Damn!
Always a pleasure to listen to music instead of endless torturing of analog synths, as seen in so many videos :-) Thanks!
Wath a wonderful Sequenz 🎊👏🙌 for a Beringer 2600
Thx Mate 💪🙋♂️🎉
Thanks. May the Force be with you.
@@rufo 🤣
I already loved this tune when you played it with the odyssey. Good job
On which video is this track with the Odyssey?

Thank you for this.. that arpeggio wad pure ear candy. I have the blue meanie. Its my first ever actual synth. Would love to see a walkthrough of constructing a piece like this.
Wow, what a amazing remake of this wonderful song!!!!! ❤️
It’s number one on my „Synthesizer Best Songs List“.
Thank you for this wonderful song! 🤩
I've been following you for some time but yesterday I decided to give credit to Arp Odyssey from Berhringer, I'm an enthusiast and I have several analog synths between old and modern and I tell you with absolute certainty, your video is the best on the net today... captured the essence of the synth which is its absolute connection to the human, we... I just bought my Odyssey today, yes, in 2022 thanks to your video... Thank you so much... And don't mind some criticism that say "every sound sounds the same, every synth is the same and so on", they are certainly people who have captured the purpose of the man and machine connection!!!!
Thanks! The Behringer Odyssey and 2600 are great synths.
This is an awesome groove. Trying to decide if I'm going to buy 2600 or not. I've got the Odyssey along with 3 other awesome modular synth. Really loving the 2600 though. Keep these wonderful grooves coming.
I always revisit your channel in the hope of new uploads, hope your doing well.
What a lovely sequence! It shines on this 2600.
hay. I remember this sequence.
very nice back then. even better now.
Think I asked back then if I could edit it. but seems like I don't have to.
also you are cutting it to short. it needs a b section and abridge. maybe a section just with pads.
That one is fabulous but I prefer the one made with the Odyssey.
Hello again 👋 it’s been a while since I got in touch with you… it was only a couple of comments so you’ll probably not remember me 😂 I just wanted to check how you are and if you’re still making music/videos?
Your odyssey and 2600 videos inspired me a lot over the last two years and I ended up getting a 2600 and I have pushed my own channel since last September… I hope you’re well and good 😃👍
Beautiful, just beautiful. I loved the sequence already on the odyssey...
this tune is so much more than just a demonstration... it's as amazingly beautiful as the first demo, and adding the drums is something i've wanted to do as well, so you beat me to it... and the arpeggio is heavenly!
Hi
Wowww 👍🎧
Beautiful music my friend.
My congratulations. 💖🇬🇷
Thank you very much.
Thanks for the very kind words! 💖🇧🇻
Excelente demo Rune, más allá de las posibilidades ofrecidas por los equipos electrónicos están tu sensibilidad y capacidad de composición que sencillamente son geniales, felicidades amigo...
Arp timbre is magic!
Awesome…. The reason why I bought this synth!
Awesome sound! I'm really glad you and other out there got one of these. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Beautiful job here. Great track!
Brilliant. I am a newb. Bear with please. Did you take the different sounds and layer them into a daw or multitrack... or is all this generated live... multitracked within the 2600? I want to evolve. I have a Linnstrument 200... and want a tactile hard synth to compliment and frankly do something of a similar ilk to what you do. So curious. THanks!
Wow, love the sound! Strong argument for the Behringer 2600! Sadly it's sold out right now, would have made a nice christmas gift for myself ;)
Beautiful. So charming.
Hey men....you really knocked it out of the park with this track. Thanks!
Amazing , gonna have to get one now !
Endlich mal einer der Musik macht mit dem wirklich tollen Synthesizer!
Awesome! I had your old version in my "music" playlist while commuting. Now I have to add this one :)
So glad you made it available to purchase! Love this!
Me encanta esa melodia , Muchas gracias por compartir. el 2600 es adorable
Beautiful as always Rune!! Thx for posting and the time you spend creating your music!!
back again. you know i went and bought a Behringer Blue Marvin because of this video :P
Rune, du er et musikalsk geni. Jeg liker alt du har laget. Du gir meg positivitet i livet. ❤❤❤ Jeg liker og nyter musikken din.❤❤❤❤
The Sequenz is so amazing !!!!!!! Love it !!!!
nicely done. thank you.
Another gorgeous rendition. Bravo.
Hey, its always nice to get a notification for one of your videos, very nice.
Excellent demo, thanks
Finally someone who makes really good sounds with this
Brilliant - love this!
Gorgeous tones!
This is lovely!
Beautiful sequences and excellent sounds and patches.. 👍🔥👌👏
I loved your original and I am loving this too. The lights look good, especially for Christmas!
Beautiful! I own the Behringer Pro-1, and I’m probably going to (try) recreate (part) of your song on it. Which Delay and Reverb (plugin) are you using? (Delay 1 x 16th note to the right?)
Great progressions. I've considering getting the 2600 as my first semi-modular synth.
Beautiful
Did you control from usb midi?
What board would you control this with?
I just bought the wavestate
I have the deepmind12
I use my yamaha sy35 to control my wavestation A/D
The next ones on my radar are
Behr odyssey
Behr monopoly
Behr poly D
Behr 2600
Yeah i know don't want much do i
Lol
Great music you do for sure
The sequence is controlled by a DAW (Reason), but originally it was recorded by the keyboard on the Odyssey via USB-MIDI, and then refined and improved in the DAW, before being sent to the synth while I use the sliders to evolve the sound.
You are an incredible composer! Very nicely done, sir.
Wonderful track, love it.
amazing
Excellent as usual , thanks for this extraordinary song
Fantastic work. Thx for posting.
Did you use a sequencer in your DAW or as external gear?
What a pretty tune! How would the B 2600 compare to the Doepher A 100?
Great layering. Now I see why some people get multiple 2600s. I don't have space for more!
Do you plan to keep your Odyssey now that you have the 2600? I am keen to get the 2600, but might have to sell my "Ody" to fund the 2600 purchase. (its not going to be easy to let go of it) The 2600 is a beautiful instrument ... but does it make the Odyssey redundant? (your thoughts?)
I will keep my Odyssey. I did sell my MS-101 to help afford the 2600, as I didn't find that as inspiring for the type of music that I make. The Odyssey however, stays. They are kind of similar, but each have strengths the other one does not.
2600 is deeper, synthesis-wise. It has 3 oscillators and is semimodular. However the Odyssey is so quick and easy to set up sounds on, and is an excellent synth. I also like the Odyssey filter better, because as resonance is increased, you don't lose the lower frequencies, whereas on the 2600 the resonance causes all other frequencies to be reduced, much like the classic Moog filters. Again, both sound great, but they are different.
Both will stay in my home studio! :)
Excellent demo Rune
Love, Love, love Rune, very wonderful update !!
Thanks Thierry.
Rune, hvordan gjorde du det at apparatet lyser opp som et juletre ?:)))
The lights on the 2600 are quite bright. But for some of the still images, I held a star filter / grid filter in front of the camera to get that extreme christmas tree effect. :)
Well done ! nice tune this track , I love it !
Wonderful! Love this song.
Love this what you using to sequence the tracks?
The diversity in the main sequence and subtle changes are great. I've only listened to it once so far but sounds like maybe 4-6 variations of 4 bar sequence. Sounds different all the way through it and I love that.
Thanks! I use Reason as my sequencer and for audio recording + adding effects. The sequence was played by hand, with some variations here and there, and then I quantized it, fixed any mistakes, and did small adjustments in the sequencer. I think the hand-played origin of it gives it some natural variations that it would not have otherwise.
Lovely tune, thank you. Liked and subscribed.
Beautiful 👍
Yes! A remix of one of my faves! Thanks!
That was amazing, well done...
wreszcie nowy film,dlugo czekalem.pozdrowienia z Aten :-)
Is that you Jean? Awesome stuff.
Very nice. I'll have to make room for it.
Rune again this is great is it possible post the reason file or go into a bit more detail in how this was recorded thanks
Great track 👍🏻
I keep hearing a powerful, soaring lead line that is not there... nice to hear some chord changes and development instead of random bleeps and bloops or endlessly repeating sequence in the bass register which is usually the norm in synth demo videos.
Great new Version. Love the "old" one and this ist a great Update 👍. How or where can i get it? (...edit: found the new Version on Bandcamp. I miss the old Version 😞 in Bandcamp 😉)
The old version had a bit of a background noise problem, as I didn't use the high-level balanced outputs from the Odyssey on that one, so it didn't feel right to upload it to Bandcamp. I might just do a simple re-recording of it, with the sequence/riff only - we'll see. :)
@@rufo that would be nice 👍😊 thank you.
When the Bright Arpeggio kicks in!!
Happy new 2600!
I'm drowning in music. Great sound!
Very nice demo, what filter is used please?
If you mean the photo filter, it's an old star/grid filter I had for my old Canon SLR camera.
Nice sounds, Rune, allways a pleasure to ear your music, now with a new setup? ✌👏
Beautiful sounds and music 👌
