The phased left channel of the VC340 is a great idea and makes the sound so spacious. I think the VC340 needs a build in phaser in future. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece
Lovely stuff, lovely composition. These Behringers really do capture the spirit of the originals and they sound beautiful - takes me back to my childhood.
Simply beautiful. Only Rune can take you to another place when simply listening to a demo. You didn't want to finish playing, i didn't want to finish listening.
Coming back to this again to hype me up as my Odyssey should be here within the week 😁 great work again! Very reminiscent of of some scores for Lynch’s works. The Lost Highway especially. 🛣 🎶 🎹
Wow, this is such a great demonstration/ song, I've played it countless times over and over. Much respect! Due to this video I've purchased a VC340. What a great sound. Thank you very much for this awesome video. Subscribed.
Wow - had to log in just to comment; you would make Tony Banks (Genesis) proud. Such ethereal strings, choir. Well done and congrats on studying the synths true capabilities. Thank you
I'm fully in love with your composition. I think you nailed the Vangelis sound married with a bit of Jarre. I'm waiting for my Odissey soon. Thank you.
Awesome lush mid 70s Jarre strings from that VC340, just a magical sound. Nice track too, really enjoyed it. I've only the 1 synth (MODX8) but I'm really interested in buying something like that Behringer to compliment it.
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNN, that was the most epic soundin' song I've ever heard, and this is comin' from a guy who loves those classic 70's/80's synth sounds, the bit at the end was the best, especially with that moon light you had in your room, that song, that moon, shit only thing missin' was a strikin', devastatingly beautiful, raven haired, green eyed lady, damn I'm feelin' romantic now.
This is why I tell people learn to play keyboard/piano instead of turning some knobs here and there and pretending to know what you're doing. Well done, good song and video! Keep up the good work. Gotta love B.
idc about behringers past no more. They're killing it. Never thought i would dream of a studio full of behringer synths and drummachines. But i do now. The odyssey has indeed that type of tone that's difficult to emulate with vsts, although not impossible with alot of effects. But the thinbg is that behringer synth is probably cheaper than all the plugins that i neeed to get "that" sound. decissions, decissions, decissions.. Now all i want from B is an (portable) mpc clone, akai isn't akai anymore. I want a simple mpc with modern connections and sample storage, no touch screen, no thousand menus, simple, as the 60/3000 was, but 24 bit capable and good fx, for around 500-600.
I have a Behringer Mixer and a Deepmind 12. I agree about hardware over VSTs and plug-ins too. I do own a lot of software plug-ins and a ton of hardware synths. Furthermore, in 10 or 20 years all the hardware (desktop, keyboard, modular) that I own will still have resale value. Maybe even maintain or be more valuable if it's been taken good care of or if it's considered a classic. But those VSTs and retail purchased plug-ins will be worthless or a money pit after dozens of upgrades are purchased to keep up with newly bought computers. To keep up with software you have to keep spending money on them as their previous versions become obsolete. Hardware is a one time purchase and always will be an investment even if they may require a repair or two. BTW, your hardware is insurable but good luck trying to prove the value of your software if any of it is lost in a fire or flood or stolen. Oh, and the first music software I ever bought was Cakewalk for my Atari ST in 1988. Cost about $25. Guess how much it's worth today? $0. I had an offer of $300 for the Atari (yes, it still works but I doubt the floppy disc with the Cakewalk program will still spin to boot up if I could find it...).
My SoundClick and BandCamp pages have now been updated with my latest pieces. If you want to buy downloadable audio files and support this channel, you'll find the links under "Info" on my channel page. Thanks for watching. :) Rune
@@TheOneTrueSpLiT Thanks! Part of that is due to the wonderful analog strings of the VC340, and part is due to the phaser. Jarre used an Electro Harmonix Small Stone phaser too, but he mainly used an Eminent 310 organ for strings.
Searching for the right synth, i ve found your channel. Thank you , thank you, thank you! For your music, for your sould, for amazing sounds;) EXCELLENT ! FIRE! AMAZING!
I hear Jan hammer and Jean Michel Jarre Original melody, simple but oh so striking especially with such a detailed care for good sound. U sir have talent.
Great use of great equipment Rune ,and then your talent ,what a combo ,top notch as usual .Love it! By now Behringer must have gotten their ears on to you....!
Omg PERFECT!!!! Holy vintage analog sound with modern features, uncompared to all digital imitations. I sold my Fantom, Kurzweil PC, Korg M3, Motif and all other digital toys and use too analog and FM synth/drums only ;-)
@@danoi29 The VC340 uses "divide down technology", which means that ALL its keys can be pressed (or all the 49 MIDI notes it responds to via a MIDI keyboard) at the same time and all the sounds will be heard. And it doesn't matter if you've activated strings, human voices and vocoder at the same time - all notes can be played at the same time without problem. :)
That moon lamp is awesome btw!!!
One of the most beautiful lead sounds I’ve ever heard. Thank you!
This is a real demo ! No talking, good sounds and good melody with subheads...
This is a song…. lol to me it’s a bit more than just a demo, this guy is good!
A new meaning to ultimate lush. So beautiful!
I can't get enough of this bro, thanks!!!
Best demo of those 2 synths I've heard thus far! Loved the music :)
What an incredibly sweet song.Very beautiful and nostalgic.Like stepping back in time.I absolutely love it.
Thank you!
Seven minutes of pure relaxation! Thank you Rune!
Thanks Mark 🙂

Saw this a couple of years ago and loved it…just had it fed back to me by YT….wouldn’t be out of place in any Jarre concert. Genuinely ❤
Simply beautiful. Only Rune can take you to another place when simply listening to a demo. You didn't want to finish playing, i didn't want to finish listening.
Thanks Graham. :)
really nice, thank you
Thanks Robert :)
@@rufo very inspiring, i just had to switch on my studio after your video

Each time I listen to this demo that's such a pleasure. Thx
The subtitles are just perfect
Very good demo and instructions. This should be also a song writing demo for beginners. This is how you use synths!

Thanks John! The sounds from the VC340 can be really nice. 🙂
This is amazing and VERY well done. The sounds are just so good!
Both this beautiful song and Firechild's great and catchy VP-330/VP-03/VC-340 track took me up and flew me to the music store.
Pure beauty and goodness

Matthew Jessup , Jupiter X is an awesome machine, so is JDXA

Hari Kari, or something like that

That Vocoder is lovely. I love the Odyssey, too learning many diiferent things on mine. And the Neutron- very nice bottom end! Great stuff.
Great demo of those synths capabilities I don't have a VC340 yet but it's on the list for sure.

how much polyphony to the VC-340?
