I don’t blame her for going public. Whitney’s mom wrote about the relationship in her book. Bobby put it in his TV Movie. Her brother and Sister in Law put it in the documentary. So she had no choice but to tell her side since everyone else was talking about it.

I didn't know and would have preferred not to know. I love Whitney and sometimes do not need to know everything about everyone even people close to me , that includes family. There are somethings that are better left unsaid. If someone wants to share it with me I will listen, but I won't ask people things that are personal, unless I am romantically interested in them . I think it's rude and intrusive. I would first of all tell the person I am interested in pursuing a relationship . If they feel comfortable or care to share their intimate past its on them but I would not ask. All I need to know is whether or not the individual is currently in a relationship and do they have kids since I would not want to break up a family.

I was 19 years old and in college when I first heard these rumors. I am now 48 years old. Robyn has always been silent about this. I always felt that she had the ability to humanize Whitney in a way that the world hasn't seen. Yes, Whitney was a talent to be reckoned with, but she was still human and had her own insecurities and vices. I cannot believe I am finally going to be able to read Robyn's version of her story. I have also always felt that Whitney's version of "I Will Always Love You" was a love song for Robyn.

I was so in love with Whitney in the 1980's. I was devastated when she died.
Poor Whitney, she never had the chance to truly be who she wanted to be. She had to live up to the expectations of her family, her mother in particular, the music business where she had to live up to this pop princess role that was placed on her. But I think now that she's at peace, she's given her friend Robyn permission to let the world know who she was and I think Robyn, despite what people thought about her, was the only person in her life who let her be her. What I take from this is that if it's true, Whitney Houston was just doing something. It sounds like she wasn't into women like Robin was. At first I was a wreck knowing Robyn was gonna write a book, about their relationship. But I received the book as a Christmas gift from my kids, do I am reading it. And I must say reading it help me to understand why Robyn felt as though she should let the world know what really happened. Why I still think their intimacy was between them, I believe every word that I have read so far. Including how Whitney’s family, friends and Bobby just used her and didn’t care about her as a person more less a family member. Cissy should be ashamed of herself. 😢
