It was completely unbelievable to me, because Whitney was totally hot and and then they got this average woman ( that didn't look anything like Whitney) to play Whitney. No. No Way. I'll give them that I did learn some things. I didn't know that Whitney ever lived with Robyn at all (or as a lesbian lover). I didn't know that. And I didn't know Whitney use to be Butch/tomboy. I also didn't think the movie told the whole story, the anomalous death and her childhood sexual abuse. It was a very superficial movie that was not impressive whatsoever.

Clive Davis is a secret principle stockholder in Mac cosmetics. All of the makeup lines dedicated to Whitney Houston he is getting paid for them. He green lighted this movie and the use of Whitney's music and he is focusing a great deal on publicizing her lesbian side because the gay theme is so popular these days. That alone is worth the price of admission to many of the young people in this country and around the world that are fascinated with the gay lifestyle. Clive Davis knew that Whitney Houston was dead while they were partying downstairs in that hotel, and he did not go down there and stop the festivities he let everybody keep partying because he was making money and he was covering up the fact that he is the one that had her killed. If you don't believe me, then tell me what the world would think if Dolly Parton was found face down floating in a bathtub dead, and exactly a year to the day later, her daughter was found dead the exact same way! The odds of that happening to someone and their immediate family member is off the charts, you could not even get Vegas odds on that! But I'm going to need the story but when you call something like this to attention when it's concerning a black person people think that you are playing the race card and that is all about black people complaining and wanting something for nothing and blaming the world and white people on their own fate. So you call them names like conspiracy theories. But go back to what I said, If This Were Dolly Parton, if Burt Reynolds had a son and he died a specific way and his son died exactly the same way a year to the day, you would realize that there's something ritualistic about it. If you're going to call me names go f*** yourself!

With makeup on she looks like Brandy (maybe they are trying to groom this new actress for other things) and without makeup she looks more like a darker version of Robyn. The wigs on her are awful in the beginning and the only parts that look accurate are Cissy and Clive. She looks like she was thrown in as an after-thought. Admit it Houston team, you all really didn't like/love her in the end. This film once again shows the lack of passion and enthusiasm for presenting her aesthetics correctly, and all you have is an actress who looks like she is at a costume party pretending to be her. Judging by the way he wrote about Whitney in his book, he came off as a forlorn lover. Jermaine was a dog, yes, but I do believe he had feelings for Whitney, those feelings just weren’t enough for him to leave Hazel for her or change his promiscuous ways to be with her. He told Robyn that he loved her.

It wasnt a damn teenage love affair.
Robyn was an adult who groomed a teenage girl she met as a Rec Center employee.
    Stop it.
She probably introduced Whitney to hardcore drugs or at least played the role of an enabler.

I don't know about the age difference between Robyn and Whitney, but I once dated this drop dead gorgeous guy who told me he went to school with her and had an enormous crush on her. But she wouldn't give him the time of day because she was a tomboy and preferred women. I believed him because he referred to her by her nickname ''Nippy" which wasn't public knowledge at that time. I met both of them once when her brother, who was also one of her background singers, invited me to the studio when she was rehearsing for her Star Spangled Banner Superbowl performance. From what I observed, I would say they were definitely in a romantic relationship. (Which made no difference to me). As for the drugs, from what I understand, it wasn't Bobby or Robyn who introduced her to them. It was her brother. But I have no personal knowledge of that. In LA you hear lots of stories, so her drug use was no secret. But the way she died was suspect to me. I think she was murdered. People in the room below her heard a scuffle, but the media squashed that news. Not sure if it was drug dealers or Clive or some other nefarious Hollywood factions who took her out. But the bruises and lacerations on her from her autopsy report tell a different story. The fact that her daughter was found in a bathtub the same way years later makes her death even more suspicious. Anyway you look at it, we lost one of the greatest voices of our generation. 💔😢 May she R.I.P. 🙏⚘️🙏

Im not totally blaming Robyn for Whitneys introduction to hardcore drugs. Thats why I said she at least enabled her drug use--something shes admitted to, in but so many words. I dont think I have ever met a hardcore drug addict that hung out with sober people.

@ray1411 After I responded to your remarks yesterday, of course algorithms being what they are on Facebook, nothing but Whitney stories popped up. And I rewatched the Robyn Crawford/Wendy Williams interview. Here’s some things that stood out: You said “It wasn’t a damn teenage love affair. Robyn was am adult who groomed a teenage girl she met as a Rec Center employee. “ Robyn stated she was 19 and Whitney was 17 when it started. They were both teenagers initially and it continued into their adulthood. When Wendy asked her if she used cocaine? She said they both did and that Bobby Brown and herself had been falsely accused of introducing her to drugs, when it was actually her brother Michael who confessed to it. That’s where I heard it too. So both of them were using it and it was Whitney who introduced Bobby to the harder drugs because he walked in on her and saw her. As far as who she hung with, I don’t do drugs so you could be right about that.. . We all know people who indulge, secretly or otherwise. But what’s different is I’m assuming neither one of us are celebrities. And even in a working environment they meet and hang with those that do and those that don’t on a much wider scale than we could ever imagine because of the opportunities their line of work affords them to. Not to mention the type of money they have to be able to try what they want or consume any amount they want. So the industry encourages it for various reasons with their “on with the show” mentality and sometimes their pressing schedules. They can’t start missing shows like she did due to drug use without it becoming a down hill slide in hindsight. So that’s all I’m saying. Whitney was very headstrong and bent on doing what she wanted to do and would let anybody know in no certain terms, including her parents that she could and would do whatever she wanted to do. Especially as long as she was the Golden Goose who supported them and their lifestyles! That’s been documented. Bobby tried to clean himself up, but Whitney didn’t want to because she was hooked. Do you remember when Bobby Brown’s sister Tina Brown sold that picture of Whitney’s bathroom that she’d turned into a crack den to The Enquirer when she was hooked on crack? (You can Google it.)And the photos started popping up of her looking cracked out and crazy and disheveled? People were horrified to see how low she’d sunk. But it made people step up and try to get her some help. But you’ve got to want to be helped. And she either didn’t want it or couldn’t stick with it because she wasn’t strong enough to kick it. The last weeks of her life she was back in the money again and could afford to buy more drugs again so she allegedly did. Which led to her fight in the nightclub and drugged out looking appearance and bizarre behavior by the hotel pool when Brandy and Clive Davis were being interviewed. Don’t know if this is true, but did you hear anything about some of Whitney’s concerned family members going to Clive Davis and asking him to cut Whitney’s money supply off because it was enabling her to buy and indulge in more drugs? If this is true and he did, can you imagine this possible scenario: The drug dealers coming to Whitney’s hotel suite for payment and she didn’t have it as promised because Clive cut her off to save her from herself) So they beat her up (hence the abrasions and lacerations mentioned in her autopsy report and the fight the people in the room beneath hers heard) and drowned her in the bathtub?? If any of this is true, how guilty must the family member(s) and Clive Davis feel? And how anxious would they be for the whole truth to come out? They wouldn’t be. Hence the cover-up, and. Clive continues on with the Grammy party while her body lies upstairs in the bathtub! You would think a hotel as famous and much used as a celebrity hang-out would have the very best security and recording equipment on Earth, or certainly in Hollywood! Yet none of that footage ever leaked or surfaced. Who has enough power and connections to silence and bury all of that? Clive Davis. And/or the powers that be. This is just speculation based on the rumors that swirled around after her death. What we know to be true is we lost one of the Greatest Voices of our generation to drug addiction and it’s tragic. May she R.I.P.

Whitney Houston was a phenomenal singer and one of the best. But she was not THE best. That distinction goes to the queen of soul Aretha Franklin.

Great movie and somehow i felt that Whitneys greatest love was Roby and forever reliable. And the churches forbid love. Not God,and how many men in the church have abused children.I would keep quiet if you love and dont harm others,it is legimitate love, even if its the same sex.But most of all she was great singer with a great voice.Amen

I think, the actress that plays Whitney isn’t the best choice cause she definitely doesn’t look nearly like Whitney apart from that she’s a woman of color.
