itzhak perlman zigeunerweisen.. check out this piece. It's my #1 itzhak perlman performance...winter is right up there..I like to listen to other violinist back to back to itzhak, and in my opinion no one even comes close to the sounds he makes on his instrument.
I always come back to this video for Winter. There are a lot of ‘super fast ’ renditions but this one has the rightmost tempo. (Allegro NON MOLTO. Fast not much). Perlman is one of the living violin god and he does not need to show off by going too fast.
Itzhak makes THE BEST faces while he's playing! That's one of the things I love about him. He's not a typical, stoic, classical musician. He obviously enjoys what he's doing and he's not afraid to show it and have fun while he performs. Not to mention he's an absolute beast of a musician. Spectacular performance.
not to sound pretentious: but this is just so GOD-DAMN beautiful. how come more people dont listen to this work. its not just pleasant but THOUGHT PROVOKING!. i feel euphoria just listening to it.
@@charlieegell You're right, even in commercials there's classical music. "Art" music as I've heard a lot of my teachers call new instrumental pieces is still being written especially for movie soundtracks, that's what a lot of people my age who are music majors or getting classical lessons listen to. With the internet there is a lot more access to music now, I've been exposed to so much music classical and popular because of it. Most people who are part of younger generations can go from listening to Vivaldi to Kendrick Lamar by putting their music library on shuffle.
It's flawless. Perlman looks so at peace when he plays. His left hand technique is incredible. This is one of my favorite pieces of all time. I love hearing it again and again, and the sense of trepidation played into the notes is wonderful.
I was wanting to share this section of four seasons to a friend... and after going through TEN others on youtube (many with endless likes??) this was the ONLY ONE doing justice to the work. This is to be done with art and precision with a sound, resonance and a cadence to evoke the beauty of life and nature. Thank you, Itzhak
What a fantastic control!!! He controls the soutilé perfectly, like i've never seen it before, he's the most Great Violinist of this time, The god of Violin!
La mejor interpretación de Invierno que he escuchado. Nada forzado, este hombre tiene un talento impresionante! Es una pieza exquisita y delicada. Por supuesto, mi interpretación favorita por mucho! :)
People, I´m a violinist (not even 1% as good as him) the secret is the way he holds the bow, pay attention and you´ll see that it always looks like if it was a part of his arm!!!! Only Mr. Perlman and Shlomo Mintz can control a bow that way... trust me, when you play the violin you can learn the left hand part, but bowing correctly takes YEARS!!!!! and that is the secret!!! and remember, when you have a U$S 100000+ violin, everything sounds better, anyways, Perlman rocks!!!!
I may look like some average college kid, yes I love Metallica, AC/DC, and a whole bunch of classic rock music, but I am not going to lie: I REALLY love classical music. This is one of my favorite pieces of music. I mean, I am just amazed at Perlman playing the violin! It is beautiful. That is talent right there. In and of itself the music can covey such unique emotions among its listeners. Bravo.
I'm absolutely in love with the lead violin parts, I want to transcribe them to guitar because they seriously fucking shred. They've been stuck in my head for months. This whole piece fucking shreds as well, definitely my favorite piece off of The Four Seasons
This shows us how great humanity can be. Itzhak Perlman pushes the limits and shows us the greatness of humanity.
Itzhak Perlman is from another planet... Just perfection and on the spot with every note!
Perlman is simply astonishing, but give it up for Zubin Mehta! What a conductor!
Tempo perfetto, bellissimi staccati alla metà superiore che pochi oggi usano ..esecuzione stupenda..
Itzhak Perlman outshines everybody during his performance here
It would be unprofessional of the orchestra to outperform him.
Perlman is an incredible performer. This is definitely the best performance I’ve heard!

Itzhak is a legend

Musica divina!!!
Grazie di cuore MAESTRO!!!!!!!
It's amazing how delicately he plays this. Like handling a frozen flower.
How could the audience just sit there and not give a standing ovation after that?????!!!!! That was totally awesome.

Spectacular performance.
Curious what the solo parts of Winter would sound like if played on an electric guitar. The thought of that. omg
No one makes love to music or the violin like he does.
2024 I have always been a fan of this man and Vivaldi! 🎉❤🎉❤
Oh my god the collective whistle coming from the violins at 3:10 is so beautiful it gives me goosebumps
not to sound pretentious: but this is just so GOD-DAMN beautiful. how come more people dont listen to this work. its not just pleasant but THOUGHT PROVOKING!. i feel euphoria just listening to it.
I 'm agree
Euphoria is the perfect description! It's so amazing....I'm reduced to tears! lol :')

Stallone directing this was the best part of the video, hands down.

Holy shit, Perlman and Mehta in the same place. That's great.
is that Zubin Mehta? The one who conducted the Three Tenors?Wow!
They were frequently together in their youth

Try Berlin Philhamonic with conductor von Karajan and then young violonist Anne Sophie Mutter. Very straight and emotional. Great musician Mutter.
Even the conductor is just watching Perlman half the time.
Baroque music, is just wonderful
He is so controlled
What a fantastic control!!! He controls the soutilé perfectly, like i've never seen it before, he's the most Great Violinist of this time, The god of Violin!
