If the laptop is not charging fully it might be the battery protection mode. It only charges to 80 % to prolong the lifespan of the battery. When you first use it turn that setting off then discharge and recharge the battery completely to calibrate the battery and get maximum battery life
Ive ordered my first ever laptop which is a Gaming Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9, Intel® Core™ i7-13650HX, 15.6", Full HD, 16GB, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4050 6GB GDDR6, No OS, Luna Grey. And im afraid i might have chosen wrong, im not sure. I've been seeing a lot of talk about the 13 gen processor being bad and other things and ive been worried a lot, i just wanted a laptop to do some gaming as well as some graphic design and photo editing but now im really wotried that i made a bad choice 😭
I got a low with rtx 4060 512 bg of ssd 8 gbs of ramen and rtx 4060 Alongside with a i7 and the same processor as you Are there any motherboard issues with this gpu and cpu? I’ve also heard the battery is horrible lasting only for 1-2 hours are there any problems so far?
The question I have is on cooling. I've wanted to get a gaming laptop for ages, but I despise having to use cooling pads. How warm does it get when gaming? It looks like it has good cooling, but it's difficult to tell with on-paper specs alone.
They all get warm and all benefit from a cool pad. The only real reason to go for a laptop is to have the convenience of mobility. If you are going to be in the same place 99% of the time then get a desktop
@@evetechtv Thank you, I would only ever use it for travel, when I have to visit someone for a weekend, or a week, and my PC is much too difficult to move around. I was hoping to get this bad boy, but only if the cooling is working well, as a cooling pad has often proven to be to either be too cumbersome, and an annoying point of failure.
@@GrandParzival It should be fine as all our tests were done without it but no notebook really runs in the 50 degree range. If you're happy with mid 70's which is perfectly fine tbh for its life time then get it

Cooling performance and over all performance wasn't all that different. I'd still say I prefer the older unit, which didn't look as nice, but was as solid as they come and had a better screen
Thanks for the reply. Do you have a video on the legion? I’m currently debating between the legion 5i 2024 with an i7 and 14650 rtx 4060, and a legion slim 2023 with an i5 13450 and rtx 3050. Any idea which would run cooler and less loud in general? For light to medium video editing use
Depends for which model For the rtx 4060 models then the loq is better The 406l in the cyborg is not fully powered not and doesn’t have a good performance it’s just overall not worth it Also avoid the gf63 it just sucks

i got the same one with the 3050 but i recieved a 170w charger..The only problem is when i play games while plugged in the battery doesnt charge. The battery instead drops while its charging..I wish they could help.I know other countries replace your charger with a 230w

Did that twice and still had the same problem - previous model we reviewed didn't have that issue so was kinda weird but thanks for the advice!

Battery is small but dependent on usage you can get like 5 hours or so. The chassis/MB hasn't given major issues afaik
Looking at this laptop, though I’d like to see how it ran a graphics needing game such as beamng or msfs
It should destroy in those titles no issues xD
