- You asked, so we made it happen. We'll be making up a few small batches of these SAA cowboy leather gun belt and holster rigs that will be available for purchase. But again, they'll be very small batches. We're talking 5- 7 at a time. So if you want one make sure you sign up.
*We're not currently taking custom orders*
For now, we're only offering holsters that will fit 1873 single action army guns and similar models. And for the gun belts, we're offering ammo loops in .22lr, .38spl/.357 mag and .45 colt. Down the road we'll add more models, barrel lengths, calibers and styles. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Can I but this pattern off you?

Beautiful.
Nice job. I guess it is all in what you train with, I am far more comfortable with my clicker knife than a stencil knife. Thanks for the video.
Love the bandanna were did you get it
Great stuff! I actually got into leatherwork and made my first project, a gun belt, by watching a combination of your videos and Sam Andrews, and it turned out great. Glad you guys take the time to do videos like this, because it's led me onto several other projects and a hobby/trade I truly love.
To keep the belt on your waist, the rough or "nappy" texture provides friction helping to keep the belt from sliding up when you draw your pistols.
Why do you people keep placing your trademark in front of your work? Put it on the back where it belongs...
That is stunning !!!!
Well done brother .
I have a question - maybe a stupid question…
But what is the purpose of the large piece of leather that is stitched to Holster . ( the flap over part ).
I was thinking of just trimming mine down to just a belt loop and carry “ Slim Jim “ style .
Do you know what I mean ??
Just need to know before I do that , does that flap serve a purpose ??
Thanks so much !!
Something I pick up from Sam Andrews is putting some scrap carpet down when using the sawing action that way you can keep the leather flat on the table.. It works great especially when cutting thicker leather
Where can I get that punch! I want one for my own projects, if you are willing to share....THANK YOU! I have a .45, (1871 open top) nust need to make the belt now as I have finishe the holster already...
Great stuff. I see you,burnish your edges.Other professional ?l Eather workers, dont.Its
Iike, leaving sawmarks on a wood project., Its just not done.
Great gun fighter rig.
That said I would have added a 4oz liner to the holster so you have smooth leather inside an out. Traditional rigs were made from a single piece of leather. but our modern reproductions are all lined. Beautiful work none the less.
Great job I am 73. I’m going to start leather work. I started doing upholstery at the age of 14 and now I’m ready to start doing some leather work. I am really impressed with your Detail and quality. I just hope I can be a little bit as good as you are. Thank you for your video.
Hey...Personally I prefer the long video version as I enjoy the process and you (the maker's) comments! Thanks, Mike... (like the hat too) ';-)
What a joke the Bell skiver he is using is for edge skiving not for splitting. If he's using it for splitting to make thinner leather what a waste of money. about everything I'
ve ever seen him do is a farce.
So I was thinking about making trying to make a holster for my Smith and wesson 500m do you have any tips you could give or literature suggestions to read up on this
You might flip your curved knife around but hey I get it whatever works, I know I use tools different.
Need the carpet Sam uses. I am starting to hear a lot of comments baby leather crafters about Sam on Hank Stranger' channel. I was ch all of those leather videos.t
Can you tell me where you got your 1873 SA Colt 45 blue gun for molding at...thank you...
Where do you get those awesome compact magnet lights? That looks perfect for some applications i need
Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing. I hope you're considering making these holsters for models with a 7.5" barrel. If so, I will definitely order one. Cheers!
Thanx 4the video..Question_i want to "sew" vehicle trim, like leather seats in a car & on my motor bike seat as well as my own motor bike leather jackets (what type of sewing machine should i buy that will do many of these jobs ? _thanx in advance) from Australia_Ozy Ozy Ozy...Oy oy oy'ee
This is a masterpiece of leatherwork. May I have patterns for this holster?
Being left handed myself, Iwas very happy to someone else working this way.
We gotta stick together;)
Always exciting to see another video from you! Awesome to see the whole process step by step 👍 Very informative, and of course, as always, amazing work!! You continue to be an inspiration! Hope to see more videos soon!
are you not supposed to add another thiner leather on the inside of the holster so the gun dont scratch on the rought side of the thicker leather ?
Great job! 😁💯💢👍🌺🍀🌺🍀🌺🍀
for a smaller gun, could you use 8-9oz leather for the holster?
Very good work. At 26:00 of the video you have the design (template) of the decoration??? Thank you....
Bet the customer would like the tie-downs to be dyed; I would. Otherwise a good design and great video! Subbed
Do you sale any rigs for black powder revolvers?
The best and most functional belt and holster design I've ever seen. I will definitely apply this experience. Thank you very much to the master. Show me your work.
Awesome work as always, Parker! Quick question about your strap cutter that I'm sure you get all of the time; which one do you use? I have a strap cutter, but thus far it is the only tool I have that I don't look forward to using. Thanks for your consideration, and again, beautiful work!
Nice! You've given me some ideas! Thanks!
Excellent work. I like how you thought through some of the steps and tried some things I haven't seen others do. I learned a ton here! Thanks for the extended cut video.
Thanks so much Jim. The feedback means a lot
@@whitandpark I'm 15 and starting to get somewhat decent at leatherwork and I want to do western goods like holsters, chaps, and stuff of that nature. I want to try my hand at the gunbelt in this video where can I buy the pattern? if you can show me where once I get it done ill send you some pictures. it will take a while though to stitch because I don't have a machine. thank you for your time and have a good day.
I really like the way you looped the leather to hold in the bullets. I'm making a plague doctor costume and I have small viles, and I've been trying to find ways to add them to a belt. I think I might try this method
Also 38" jeans don't equal a 38" waist
PS. You do really nice work
I have made several leather holsters in my lifetime. I would never make one where the trigger is so exposed as is shown in your photos. A branch or stick could easily engage the trigger. Maybe it would be an advantage in a fast draw competition but I want my triggers covered. A tip for shooters who use commercial holsters. The snaps will wear on the bluing inside. Save worn out leather wallets and cut and glue on a piece of the thin leather to cover the snap. I used to save my mother's leather pocketbooks to make my holsters. I don't think ladies carry them as much anymore but they were like gold. I even used the locks and straps.
Um, on a single action six shooter twigs can pull the trigger all day unless you walk around with the hammer cocked?
@@stephengagliano3831 True but sometimes the hammer itself can be pulled back and cocked and not noticed. With age, hearing often fades and sounds go unnoticed. I prefer not to have anything exposed. Also, some of my guns are double action on first pull of the trigger and single action after. No safety.
Hello what glue is the white glue on the colt saa thanks
I'm a leather worker for about 15 years, do a lot of custom knife sheaths and small ammo holders I'm air rifle oriented so I've done quite a few cheek guards also
looks like a duke john wayne rig

👍
I'd like that style holster in a cross draw design for my colt peacekeeper. 357 with a 6" barrel. 👍🇺🇸
Sir i make any product only leather made in India 🇮🇳 Rajasthan please sir I progress my work so you keep sporting me I want to meet you if you come in India so meet to me please sir request 🙏 India Rajasthan (Sri Ganganagar )
Great to see you back Parker, hope you and the family are all well,
So sass makes you carry two revolvers. If I wanted a cross draw how do I order this? And a matching sling with cartridge loops, for a 16 inch 92.
WOW THAT’S BEAUTIFUL WORKMEN SHIP JUST BEAUTIFUL AMAZING you have the skills to pay the bills
Very nice!
I been making cartridge belts with no lining or anything behind the loops. Ive seen many examples from the 1800s that were just plain jane like i do....from Sears and such
How much to get a rig done??
burn the edge to remove the fibers
Whoa Baby!! huh ? No !! Duh ! My lightbulb upstairs 'bout to fall out. Better tighten it up. Am lovin' this. About as good it gets.!! Dam Boy yous got what it takes. Love to have a holster of yours.. Well, all I can say is good luck , very best to you with that talent. Over & Out !!
Parker, do you have the belt taper template for sale on your website ?
I want to start making the taper style Gun Belts. That would be a huge help.
Astounding work! What do you suggest for a couple Colts, 1851 & 1861 as far as a holster. I’m sure they were carried outside the military. Thank you
Not a 5 minute video but man its worth every moment to watch a true craftsman at work....amazing just don't cover how awesome this holster came out and the attention to detail is mind blowing....thanks for the video....Christ I want one but ya would have to kill w cows to make one for my ass.. lol
On the machine, the traction stone should be as close to the knife as possible. Then the traction will improve and the skin will be removed smoothly.Good job . Thank you, it was very interesting. Greetings from Dagestan Russia.
Absolutely beautiful. So interesting and mesmerizing watching you work your art. I am getting into cowboy fast draw competition and am wondering if you make holsters that meet their specifications?
I ENJOYED YOUR VEDIOE
This is the most helpful video on SAA rig so far. Thanks!
Has anyone done a holster for a semi auto with a tac light such as a StreamLight TLR-1?
I love it. One day I want to make me my own holster. It's crazy how the prices of everything has just gone through the roof
Especially in buy leather.
Plain Janner!! You did an excellent job!!! I really enjoy your videos.
He's back. Great to see your happy face again!
Haha thanks Jared!
Lost a lot of weight. Lookin good. I did the same thing, it was easy.
Are these holsters and gun belts available for sale? Prices? Other styles? Thanks
soy aficionado y hobby....me gusta las manualidades y artesanias mi edad es de 70 años
Use multiple layers of Saran Wrap over your revolver mold that will give a little room depending on number of layer of wrap
What a gr8 job sir. May I commission u for some projects?
I found using the curved blade from under the the leather wrks best for me. Try it
Beautiful work, I've noticed that you don't use welts in your holsters. Is there a specific reason or just one less step to worry about?
Very nice, some lucky cowboys getting a quality rig
Nice work .whats one worth fo ruger super blackhawk 6.5
hola quisiera el envio de pattern colt 1873 gracias
I cut my patterns out the same way. I've found it helpful to place a door stopping weight on the leather and have it overhang my workbench when cutting.
Awesome tip:) Thanks
What needle and thread size do you use to make the design on the belt with and what is your thread count? Good looking job.
középre rajzolod! ügyes pazarlás
Handsome belt and holster. thanks for sharing.
need to get them clicked out
Yeah i'll be getting dies made for this pattern soon. First I need to get a 20 ton press;)
@@whitandpark I work with Legendary Costume Works here in California, and they have a lot of the dies and have the actual clicking farmed out, you may want to go that route at first
As soon as you said Hank Strange. I could Hear Andrews soothing manly voice.. love them videos his work is amazing
They’re so awesome
Thank you for sharing your trade and skill.
Sooo good, man! Question for you, you said you add about 6 inches to the belt for proper fit. Is that just for these gun holster belts or do you use that extra 6 inches for making a regular belt as well?
I really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing
You need a edge of stitching around the belt. Get a scroll saw
Awesome music in the background
I like using an old Stanley knife for cutting holster leather! Gives me more control and it goes all the way through!
Great job...reminds me of my leather tooling days...
Excellent job as always, Parker! What machine were you using to sew with?
Great simple holster. What glue do you use?
great artisan....so nice!!!!!thanks for all.....
Gorgeous set! I’d love one for my 22lr ruger wrangler!
Chow muito lindo um artista parabéns!!!!!!
good video, I prefer to line my holsters
Enjoyed your video! Got a few questions.... What sewing machine were you using? What glue? where do I get that bevel tool sharpener?? Currently I use mine till they are dull, then toss it.
That’s some expen$ive machines in the workroom. You can learn to sharpen the beveled on YT; important to learn how to sharpen (anyway).
Hey neighbor, I was wondering if you have seen Sam's stuff on the hank strange channel, you should try his carpet and sawing technique for cutting out holsters. Looks easy enough. Great video as always.
Think he got his cutting method there, sans the carpet
what type
of thread do you use for the sewing machine
It seems the holster belt is rather wide and if sitting on a saddle creates problem other than that everything else has been meticulously crafted.
2.5" - 3" is the most common in western gun belts
Where did you get the buckle’s?
you sew well nice and straight
Glad you are back!!! I have missed your videos!!!
Great video Parker and the gun belt looks amazing!
Thanks so much Paul!
@@whitandpark Hey, it looks like you have been working out since your last video? Very Trim. Well done.
What mm cord for the tie down? TY
