- In this video, I show you step by step how I changed out the accessory belt, #tensioner and #idlers on 2008 Toyota Sienna Minivan Camper. Instead of changing the whole assembly of the tensioner, I use this:
Pulley Idler Kit Febest 0187-GSU45 Oem 16620-31031 a.co/d/7CIWN3p
and the following:
Gates 36173 DriveAlign Belt Drive Idler/Tensioner Pulley a.co/d/6sirWxK
#diy #toyotasienna #minivancamper

My neighbor is kind enough to lend me his expertise and is going to walk me through doing this on my family mini van.
Well detailed, I’ve done mine thru your channel tnx!

We caught you on film dirty handed!!! LOL
I would never be able to do that, I know it's not difficult and I know they will charge me too much but doing it myself would be terrifying!!! I do know how to change the windshield wipers and some electrical fuses!!!
Thank you Tim for always demonstrating that it is not that difficult to keep our vehicles in great shape!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you Adriana!🤗
Thank you for the video. I was ready to replace the whole tensioner assembly until I saw your video. I think you got the parts reversed in your description, the Febest is for the tensioner pulley and the Gates is not for the tensioner. Thanks again!
😁Well, you still have the right parts for the job!😁 50K miles later, still running like a champ!
@@MoBangFoYoBucks Correcting the part number in case others are on a budget and only fixing the broken pulley. Don't want them to order the wrong part.
@azzurroday9730 Not good changing a single component when there are 2 that arecworn out at the same time.
Hey Tim, OK, I don't have the skills of a mechanic, nor do I have the "muscle" (LOL!) but I enjoyed watching you do the job! I want to wish you safe travels next week! Looking forward to your travel videos!
Thanks Nanci!🤗
Well Tim, I must say I will try to do anything you share except working under the hood. Great demo.
Lol Vee!!! It's not for the faint of heart!!! Thanks for the support!🤗

Good job. Great advice
We did this on our hummer a while back. Well. I say we, but Jessie did it. I sat that one out 🤣
Lol Cheerleading is important too!!!🤣😂🤣
you are awesome good sir! Thank you for sharing your time and info on this repair/replacement. Especially identifying the dust covers on both sides for the idler pulleys.
And thank you for reminding us to look for other issues when the tire and splash shield is removed! I have two rubber boots that are no good, gotta do that next!
😎👍 I am kind of OCD when it comes to working machinery. It it moves, it will wear out and eventually breaks!😁
Great informative and educational video.
Thanks Michele!🤗
I'm doing mine but the new pulley look different. Cuz I put it and tied it it didn't turn..I'm thinking I have to replace the whole Serpentine belt pulley
Great information 👍I'll show it to a mechanic 😁😏
Lol 😆 He'll give you a dirty look!!!!🤣😂🤣
By any chance would you be located in Houston Tx? 😊Thanks for sharing. I feel like Im being ripped off. How difficult is it to replace the tensioner.
@@lisaandvicculberthlee Unfortunately, no! I'm currently in Illinois.

How have they lasted so far?
Still running like a champ!
Does your car have 3.5 engine?
Yup!
Question not related to this video. But how did you hang your curtains?
For the front, I use medium size black folder clips and cheap curtains rod from Walmart. For the rear, I use snap buttons.

This is a 3.5 AWD right?
Uhmmm no! It's 1.8 2WD!😁
I have a question is that an oxygen sensor
Uhmmm none of the things that I touched is an oxygen sensor. It usually located on the exhaust system.
Thank you but I will pay someone just not something I feel I can do.
😁 It's not for everybody to play around with! 😁
