My name is Joel, I work and manage Sunny Knoll Stables located in North Eastern Pennsylvania. There's always something happening as we do our best to take care of these beautiful animals. Between the weather the family and everyday shenanigan's, who knows what is going to happen next!

Joel You greatly improved the look of your upper ring when your family replaced the bent gate with a newer one. The fence line along the middle pasture is more professional looking.

Looks like the mare are settling in well. And of course Keith. My husband had a great grandmother and some great aunts called Keith. Yes in Scotland it used to be a girls name. Nice to see Petie and his smile again. And nice to see a new friend. Good to be reminded that the horses are24/7. No days off even for Christmas!! One Christmas my whole family got flu at the same time which would be very awkward for you, so stay fit.

Turning out the horses and taking care of them is always a busy day on the homestead. It's all about keeping them happy and healthy. Checking in on the herd and seeing them interact is always a treat. Keep up the good work! We dont have horses but I enjoy your videos.

I absolutely LOVE how you take such incredible care of the horses in your care! It so nice to see horses treated with such incredible tenderness and just recognizing that each has its own unique personality and that as a group they rank on the social ladder. But regardless of where they rank among their peers it’s easy to see you treat each one the way they want to be treated and you are soooo in tune to their needs. No matter how many times I’ve watched you let the horses in and out it’s never boring and it’s always interesting with your commentary and watching the horses and how they react. I absolutely love it and my favourite horse is the troublemaker Argento because he knows where he should go but somedays just decides to go into another stall. He probably does it to find out what the other horses are having to eat and if it’s any different for his feed.

SAMPSON IS MY FAVORITE
I feel sorry for Diego. Horses are by nature herd animals, but somehow he missed out on that. That makes his life difficult. I think Joel is doing the best he can to help him assimilate to the new stable. As Joel says, "Patience is key".
Jeepers...as with farmer videos, in never would imagine the amount of work and experience that is required for 24 horses. I now my hat to you my friend!

I fell in love with Tucker from the moment I saw him, Weather and Samson (why is his tail so short?) are favorites of mine, first one I could identify by name was Champ with his spotted belly and Casino! (did I get that right or backwards?) Everyone of those horses are big and beautiful, I love and enjoy them during spring and summer when they don't wear those blankets, I love their shiny coats, colors and muscles! Joel it's amazing the love, care and knowledge you show about horses, stable life and their antics and behaviors, you're a joy to watch! You are one with the horse! Can you show your daddy more, he's got so much to teach us about horse care, shoes and tackle, I enjoyed the videos when he took care of their hoofs and shoes! What a wonderful, loving family you have and it shows in your treatment and care for the horses! Also do more videos about riding along the farm when it gets warmer, you and your wife riding along! I find myself looking out for ur videos every day, never gets boring! I Love you Joel, ur awesome, got a wonderful smile and giggle, brings joy to my day (don't be bashful, I'm a 72yr old mom with a son like you and a granddaughter as lovely and loving as you are!) Your parents raised you well! God bless you Joel and we'll be looking for babies sometime, no hurry! With Andrew adding babies to the family life ..... LoL 😊 I think all the boys from the veggie boys are married now. Well until ur next video 😊

JOEL, what a phenomenal video. I think you did such a great job talking about the horses, their personalities, herd dynamics, conditions that play a role with each horse….it really is fantastic. And then to talk safety with Diego….such important lessons that we can take for granted that people know. Safety is so critical for the horse and their caretaker. Well done, sir!❤. It’s such a pleasure to see you working with the new horses, taking the time for them to feel comfortable at the barn, learning new routines, interacting with you, and the herd. Sorry this is long, but felt compelled to tell you what a great job you are doing. Ps. Watching Diego and listening to you talk about him, I wondered if he was young or insecure, missing a buddy, etc….my sister keeps a goat with her Haflinger and has also added a mini horse, strictly as companions for her aging mare. Maybe it will just take him a bit to settle in and find his place in the herd. Thank you!😊
It’s so hard to pick my favorite horse… Tucker and Samsung are adorable but Poe seems so sweet with a side of spunk! (Honestly love them all)
I know, I love Argento, Jack, Sampson & Weather... Argento's coat is almost blue grey like a lightning storm I just love that!!

Its hard to pick a favorite they all have unique personalities. Honey is pretty sweet. and Diego is sweet too , you can tell he likes people because as soon as you get near he seems to perk right up.

I tried to watch this show on my Roku last night. I have watched your channel on them before, but they kept buffering. I watched other shows, switched Rokus and still buffer. I have not had this problem on other shows or this channel before. Anyways, I am watching on the PC today.

What's going on with Poncho having to be guided out?
I haven't figured out when which horse goes to the smaller or bigger pasture. I thought they always go to the same one but sometimes there are more in the smaller 1. Can any one explain? Thanks
The routine is usually the same for each horse but some go in the small pasture for day time and bigger pasture for night time. Sampson and Tucker are in the small pasture for the daytime and big pasture at night. Reason being is to help prevent feet issues since they love to stand in the knee deep mud in the deep pasture😂
Some go in the big pasture for both turnouts and then others go in big at daytime and small at nighttime. IT is specifically picked by SKS for each horse to provide the best placement

How sad that a horse has spent his entire life inside a stall.
I would have thought if they wanted them fiery they'd have an arab, as you never plod or have a boring ride with an arab as there is always a scary leaf, puddle, bit of dirt , blade of grass...
