Lester you own it , you tell family what to do I’m sure you spend the majority of your money on everything, so yes it makes since for only geese , ducks and pigs to be in the front and everything else in the other pastures, yes great idea 💡

Thanks Lester Jami for always looking after the babies.

Lester I think you have the wrong end of the ramp on the truck, it looks like that end is flat to sit on the ground. Good idea for LE & Megan to try with the geese & pigs. I don't think the "ponies" miss the horses that much especially Dan & Ima.

Exactly Lester, you are the Owner. Therefore the owner delegates to the workers. By asking or suggesting apparently does not work. As the saying goes "take the bull by its horns" and tell them what they should do. We have high respect to your knowledge, responsibilities and love for all your animals at all three of your properties. You and Jami do an outstanding job with all the animals at both LHL and JL Ranch. When you or Jami are at ISS the animals are happy to see you. Perhaps it's your voice or playfulness you both show them. They are excited and happy you came to see them. Just saying Lester what we see in the videos. Delegate❤❤❤

Well Lester. I think your ideas are very good ideas. And don’t forget, the goats were sick again not that long ago. If you spend all your time either nursing sick babies or cleaning water troughs, that will make for a very sad summer. 😷🤧🤒 I say, keep the geese and the pigs out in the front pond pasture and everyone else in the back and keep everyone happy and healthy. 🥳 🎉
I have also noticed recently that Stella’s front legs have straightened out. How did that happen? Am I seeing things? Stella looks so good these days. I am so happy for that beautiful girl. Living with you guys has made her so healthy and she has completely changed. Thank you for doing so much for her. ♥️♥️♥️

I agree with you Lester. The goats don't need the pond pasture at all. The geese and ducks and pigs do. Maybe it's just Megan and Le can just walk out to the pond pasture to visit easier. There there the ones that have to change the waters all day. I guess it doesn't bother them. 😊 I'm worried about the horses running out of grass this year even if there isn't a drought. The way they are going at it now it makes me wonder. Have a great day with Jami. Now I'm worried about little Maybel. That's how little Freidy died. There's really no way to fix this problem just have to see where she is when you get in to leave. 🎉🎉

Maybe spray a cat repellant around the underside of the truck, there is a whole list of possibles but what works on one cat may not on another. Try finding a smell that makes Mabel do the stink face and back away from and put that in a bottle and spray. Suggestions at the top of the list are citrus, vinegar and peppermint.

  • @Sumsum2000
    @Sumsum2000 9 месяцев назад

Ideas to help with Mable problem: Try putting a pad with Vicks on it taped up under the truck but tucked in where it's not as prone to getting dirty or blown off. Cats typically don't like the strong smell and will not want to be where it is. Hopefully the strong smell will make Mable not want to crawl up into the engine area! Also get her favorite treats and keep them close to the door (of course above Sadie's reach, lil treat thief she is) and try to call Mable up to the house before any of you leave. You could also train her to run from a particular sound like the rattle of your keys, that's what we used to do with our cats if they heard the keys rattle and a bopping on the hood they knew to get the heck away from the car! It might take a bit for her to get the idea that you are dead serious about it, but hopefully it works! And a 4th idea that's not as convenient is try a blower of some sort to blow through the grill making it windy and hopefully scary enough she runs out! I know it would be traumatizing as all heck if she were to get hurt that way, especially with her being as specially loved as she is! I know some furkids have a bigger impact than others even though all are loved!

I totally agree with you Lester especially now that they have two more paddocks now. I would think the animals health should be a priority, especially in the very hot summers you have, you can’t have sick animals in the heat. I understand when they didn’t have the other pastures but now they do with lots of shade & a pond. LE & Megan have done an awesome job taking care of everyone I would think this would be something you would all discuss and agree on, you all want their best life & health.

After a little quick research, I think I found something that may work to keep Mabel out of your truck engine - set up a sprinkler when you park near the Greenhouse. Another one is to get cat repellent spray and spray it around the engine area, or use cayenne pepper. I also love your suggestion for keeping the water troughs clean this summer. I do believe that at some point LE and Megan will come on board with your suggestion, once they get tired of cleaning troughs more often then they should throughout the day. I'm still re-watching older ISS videos, and you had the front pond dug out a little over 3 1/2 years ago. It was also the same time that your made that video when you got stuck in that pond, and wrote " Help" on sweet, sweet Pebbles ❤ Hope you had a wonderful Saturday! Take care and have a gr-8 night!

Lester, I agree with the ducks and geese making such a huge mess when they poop on & in everything. We finally got our pond put in but it didn’t get completed until winter, right when it began. So spring is getting closer and my lil guy has gone to the lake, etc to go fishing and then he will bring his fish home and put them in his pond. I was gonna get a couple of ducks, but I decided there’s no way. Nope not gonna happen because I don’t want all tht mess around and mine is actually inside the fence where our barn is. I don’t want my animals having to drink 💩 water. And my lil guy will be fishing all around the pond and I don’t want him walking or sitting in tht mess. And if they ever got outside of the fence and found the pool, and all the concrete around tht 🤦‍♀️ no thanks. They do look beautiful when on the pond, however just not on mine 😁😂 When I wanna see them on the pond I’ll just find one of ur videos, LOL. Have a great Sunday guys, God bless u all 🙏🫶🏻

Time to tell LE and Meghan, you have decided since you own ISS , that they Have to follow your plan B. No ifs ands or butts and they have to implant it NOW. Love you all and mind your Dad ❤❤❤😂😂🎉 it's for the betterment of all the animals❤❤❤

I agree with u Lester. Keep the geese out of the watering area. No need for them to be up there. Is it a matter of just going up there for feeding time? Making more work out of geese/duck cleanup. Who likes to step in that?

On cold days here in PA I always bang on the hood of my car to see if any cats are on the engine before starting it. They crawl up in there to keep warm especially if you just turned off the car.

You might need to take an old inner tube and glue it to the back of the ramp so that it can hold on better. They also have carpet grip that you might be able to use as well

Cog Hill farm found a solution ... they put a cattle panel on top so they can drink but not go in. Ask Jason what he did ... so cool ! :)

Before I even knew people were asking about the donkeys being moved with the horses over to Longhorn Lesters I was already thinking to myself that that 10 acre lot a longhorn Lester's might be enough to sustain four horses but adding donkeys to it is just not going to work right now. And then on a previous video you had mentioned that you need something there at the sanctuary to mow down those back pastures I know what the perfect for the donkeys to work on the fields there at the sanctuary I think they're making the right choice violent taking over the four horses plus that is also better for Jamie when working with her horses not have to deal with extra animals at the moment

I'm so glad you noticed Mabel go up in your engine! That could have turned out really bad like the last time! The ramp is a good idea but they're going to have to get used to it. I agree 💯 with you Lester anout closing off the pastures! There's absolutely no reason they cant do that! Plus, i thought you had automatic water systems in your water troughs. Where did they go! Those goats have other great pastures to graze on! They also need something to forage on but i haven't seen any of that in with them. Theres all that stuff in that last pasture before the river that LE and Megan could going back there and cutting stuff down for the goats! There is a lot of goats! I wonder if they've castrated the adult males yet? I haven't been watching a lot of LE's videos lately because I've just been so busy. This is still your property, your rules! Stay blessed Lester! I love you so very very much! 💖🥰❤️🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
PS Could you imagine your water bill if you didn't have a well! One day that well could dry up and then what are you going to do?!?!

Seems to be before moving any vehicles or implements you need to have a good look around first. So many cats and dogs about. Mable is a worry though especially need to ensure she is in the house before moving off.

Yeah, you have to train your dogs to use the ramp. Maybe inside, use something lower for them to practice on and I used treats to get my dog to come up the ramp I had. Eventually, they will get used to it.❤️🙏🏼❤️

Sometimes we just have to tip our hats to our kids and realize they are going to do what is right for them or the way they feel is right for them - pigs, ducks, goats, water, or whatever, which may not always be right for us - I know that even though I would always listen to my parents (usually I came to see in the end they were right to begin with, lol) my husband and I ultimately did what we agreed was right for us. Personally, I think your Dad is such a wise man, he is so smart and he knows so much about well, it seems pretty much everything really. In fact I have wee ‘fan crush’ on him, but please don’t tell him, I think I would feel so embarrassed if he knew, lol, but anyway, I’m sure there were times your Dad tried to suggest or steer you in a certain direction, but that direction wasn’t the right fit for you and you chose your own direction. I think that’s probably a right of passage, that will forever be handed from parent to child. The parent has to just smile and grit their teeth, but with the satisfaction of knowing their kid will eventually face the same situation, when the have kids......☺️💕

Putting the pigs and ducks in the front pond area would be the best thing to do! It would cut down on the water usage and time cleaning the pools. Working smarter, not harder!
