Thanks Joel for explaining the family tree! I was always wondering.
beauteous 😎👍
Excellent video!
its so cool that the family can all work together
who would'a thought there was so much into the "let out". Thanks.
Your dad's video ROCKED. I really enjoyed it. Loved the different perspective! I really enjoy seeing your parents in videos. 🙂
Thankyou , good vid .
Your all in the family .Gavin is your bro .
Thankyou for explaing your relation.
I love all the horses but Archer is one of my favorites 🐎
Awesome video Really enjoyed the extra info 👍👍
Gavin! I hit the like button.
Oooooo a Cameo from Gavin and Dad! I like how you explained the horse matrix, Joel. Peace.
Good to see your mom is coming along. 👍
Great information..thanks Joel.(thanks Dad 🙂)..we want to know it all 😂
that was fascinating Please show it again in a few weeks . Also so very interesting to see where the horses are positioned in the herd
Welcome back Mom! Good day all.
Very much appreciated the family connection part. Aren't your wives also sisters?
Great video, thank you for additional info about horses, very interesting.
Great show today. Horses are a lot more work than many of us knew. Thanks for the family tree!
Thank you for answering my question about how the family is blended together in the video.
Thanks Joel for letting us know how are you all related to one another.
I have been watching the veggie boys since 1-2 years ago and I had no idea Tyler and Timothy are Aunt Rhonda's sons!
I wish Andrew would spend more time introducing every veggie boy and girl, but that is the beauty of watching both channels! You two have different ways of filming your videos.
Joel, great video. Very interesting to how you let the horses out.
Great video. Until I started watching your videos I never imagined how much care horses need. Happy your mom is doing better!
Joel thank you so much for this video. The precision of your stable is truly a art form and provides the best care for your horses 🥰. Thank you so much for sharing this part of your daily routine 🤍
Love the horses. ❤
wow thanks, Joel explained the horses, I never knew they had a ranking herd in the group. Good job Joel❤👍👍. Great to see your Mom and your Dad and also Gavin💕
Thanks for the family breakdown. I would like to know Petey's story.
Neighbor
Thank you.@@takeitoutside.503
Thank you.@@takeitoutside.503
You have a interesting rotation to let your horses out after they get done eating. Glad the downed tree taken care of. My
Favorite horses are Samson and Tucker. Take Care and Be safe on the farm and in the Stable. Out
Glad to See your Mom and Equally Glad to hear her Recovery is making Steady Progress. It’s Hard to sit on your hands when you’re used to being productive.🙏
Joel question do the horses get excited when they hear your mom voice? Good to see her, glad she is recovering well!
Thank you so much for the information ☺️ if possible in future i would love a video of your trails keep up hard work . Your family is lovely
Are there any horses that don’t get along at all?!?!??
Me too!
That was a fantastic and thorough video Joel. The routine at the stable looks harder than what we see in your videos. To us, we see the feeding, cleaning, and turnout but it's more than that it seems. That makes us love you and your family more for all you do for those horses and donkeys so they have an awesome life living in your care. I now learned about your relationship with Tyler and Timothy. btw, good to see Mum and Dad. And, not forgetting Gavin, Meghan, and Leia....much love to the family xx
Too cute Gavin😂
Happy to see your mom. Good to see she is getting better. Great video Joel! Thanks for explaining the process of letting the horses out and which field they go in.
Wow!! I have a new appreciation for what you do! Thank you for sharing the "turn out" of the horses! Loved it! Glad your moms doing good!
Nice run down of your Hard working family and how it all fits together like a well oiled running machine ! But.......
Only one question...... what about "Petey" ??
(Oops....another video !) Hahaha
Thank you, Joel! Great video. It was good to see your mom. Q. Who watches over the horses at night or if there’s some kind of emergency? Maybe you should add some flashlights to the Amazon list? Take care.
Thanks for explaining where all the Aunts, uncles, and cousins fit in and who their parents are! I've always wondered about that. One further question: Where does Petey come in? Who is he related to? Thanks. Love seeing the horses and learning new things about them all every day. I really enjoyed your Dad's video the other day. I can see where your speaking style and mannerisms come from!! 😊 It was so good to see your Mom today and see how well she is doing. Looking forward to the next video!! 😊💜
I think Petey is a neighbour, on a video a while ago he was coming out of the woods and Andrew said something about here's a stray neighbour or similar.
Dawn, good to see your doing by well....
Wow feeling a bit dizzy with all the ways the horses exit the stables ❤❤ The herd hierarchy is fascinating 👍👍The family run down was really helpful knowing who's who😊😊 Your Mum looked so happy to be at the stables 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉The videos just keep on getting BETTER and BETTER 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Love from the UK x
Hello Joel & Don wonderful you our recovering real good. Hello Gavin.
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you for showing all this, I had no idea horses were like this.
Another great video! Good to see mom healing.
Excellent video. Picking up on your Dad's style.
Great to see your mom and that she is doing better
I had an inkling that there was more work involved with putting the horsies outside than you were telling us camera audience lol
Joel🧑🌾, What a big responsibility and liability you all 🐎 have with all those horses, 😱 I am really amazed with all the hard work all you guys do daily basis for them beautiful animals horses 🐎 great information to know before , anyone wants to own a horse how big responsibility comes with. Your
Dad🤠&Mom👸 Galvin 🕵️ you Joel 🧑🌾 doing a.
Great Job 👍
Thank You ❤
Holy Cow !!! I'M IMPRESSED!!! and you still have time to help the Veggie Boys? I don't know how much you charge to board horses, but I'm sure it's not enough. the only thing that would make this video better is if you had drawn a diagram on paper ... kind of like a map showing the layout of the doors in the fields. I got so confused I had to watch it twice. LOL
GREAT VIDEO.
Thanks for the discussions of your relationship to the Veggie Boys. A great video of horse turnout and the the thought that goes into avoiding conflict among the horses.
Good afternoon Joel n Mom sure glad you got rain and she is doing better please be careful b don't hurt that shoulder
So it is more complex than you always showed.
🤪🤪Am sure you are use to it, but wow didn’t realize the complexity of letting the horses out! You guys do an excellent job. Thanks for sharing!
Joel, the hubby and I started watching your channel, back in June. We had been watching the Veggie Boys a few months earlier.Last month we took a trip to the Ochs Farm Market. We met Brian and Mimi. Had a nice conversation. I asked him if your Mom was his sister. So grateful for the explanation of the family. We met Aunt Becky. On our next trek, we hope to see more of you and the family. We are from Western MA. Take care!
Wow, that’s quite a process for horse personality’s
Happy to hear your Mom is doing better. When does she start physical therapy?
*QUESTION:* Do horses learn and respond to their name like a dog does?
She started therapy 3 days after surgery, and yes actually they do respond to their name as long as you use it often every day. The closer you are to your horse the more they respond.
Hay Joel I watch your videos all the time just want to let you know there's a storm going up the east coast this weekend you might be getting high winds and a lot of rain let the Vege boys know to. I like when you look out your back door and check out the view horses and woods
I had to look it up because it didn't look right It's spelled ( Integral). Which means necessary for completeness. Which you explained "turn out " very thoroughly, thanks it all makes good sense now. Learning the dynamics of all the horses and their hierarchy is very interesting.
Hi (Joel's) mom. Glad to see you up and around. I've been there. It's hard but not permanent.
Shoulder surgery is a painful process. Can't lay on your back or your side. Showers and going to the restroom is not fun. Physical therapy will help, but make sure to take Tylenol before going. I've had 10 shoulder surgery in the past 11 years. So I feel you.
It’s great to see your mom recovering well, y’all stay safe and keep well! Much love from a Tennessee farm boy!!!
What was Sampson doing at 6:37? Is he ok?
Never mind! Drooling from clover. Got it! Thanks Joel! 😊
Yeah, a lot of drool!
You are just like your dad in looks and sound.
Hi Jonathon, it is nice to see in the stable.
Thanks!
Glad it’s you and not me remembering all that 😊 mom looks great! ❤️ all of you all xoxo
Awesome 😎👍😎👍🏇🏇🏇🐎🐎🐎🐴🐴🦄🦓
How did you learn which horse was the lead horse or higher in the order
Fascinating. I never realized there were two herds. And I finally see how all the entrances there are. I was confused for a while where the middle field entrance/exit was, but figured it out looking at the satellite view of the barn. Then I became more confused where you would come into the barn with the tractor. Now I know.
A couple of videos ago you said the same thing I did every time Rocky and Buster would get fed when Buster heads for the bucket to the left and then gets nudged out by Rocky, which is "Every time." When your dad was there on that Sundy, that was the first time I didn't get to say that because they didn't do that with your dad feeding them. It's amazing how differently they and the horses act with different people around.
Thanks for all the new information. So much goes on that I would never realize without these additional videos. Don't get me wrong, I like the daily routine stuff, but even those videos you show other things as well. This one was cool because it we got to see there was more to turning out the horses. Sort of a behind the scenes, much like the daily inspection, which is nice to see now and again, but not something we need to see all the time. And I'll see you in the next one.
Oh my goodness! So much information about turn out and hierarchy of the herd. It was great seeing your parental units and Gavin. Thank you so very much for the family tree break down. I was confused about Rhonda's offspring. I have one question about the family tree: Who is older, you or Andrew or Daniel? Thank you for sharing your world and all your knowledge with us. I learn so much from each video. Thank you for all you do! See you in the next one.
My way to remember the veggie boys -> The "M.A.D." brothers -> Matthew, Andrew, Daniel.
🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🐐🐐
Thanks for the tutorial on the horses and how they need to be let out to keep peace in the herd. Also telling us how everyone is related. Is Petey a relative too?
Nope, he is the neighbor.
Excellent video Joel. Im glad you noticed while editing dad's video that there are many more details to running a horse barn than we dont usually see in the videos and decided to share this with us. Its interesting to watch your videos and see the daily stuff over and over BUT it was refreshing to hear your dad go into detail the horse care and now see you go into DETAIL the horse turn out procedure. Seeing the indepth whys and wherefores from time to time is a nice change. One thing I am curious about is the WHY you turn out particular horses into different fields depending on whether it is morning or evening. Id be curious to know specifically why that is. I cant imagine there isnt a specific reason for that for a specific horse or 3.
Was Sampson doing the dribbling thing as well? I thought he was being sick 🤢…..
Great to see Mom at the stables, the horses must miss her .
Take care xx
I thought he was sick as well.
I came to read through the comments to see what he was doing! 😂 I thought he was getting sick too. I just got to the drooling part of the video. I grew up with horses and didn't remember them doing that before.
@@April.R646 so glad he’s not sick they would have said surly. Take care
@@TravisGrl713 must admit I never seen it before 😳
Thanks for that explanation, so much fun to see your routines. Question….do they have a shelter out in the pasture? So good to see your mom and glad she is on the mend! Love the videos 😊
No structure for a run in currently. We had one out there but they never used it. They prefer the woods. So when the run in out there needed to be removed there was no reason to replace it.
Who is the lady at the produce store that the veggie boys call Aunt. Is that the older sister? She has blonde hair. And she looks like your mother. How come your aunt sons don't work for the veggie boys. Thank you for explaining. Most people dont realize that horses, goats etc have a pecking order. I had a herd of goats and Arabian horses for years.
Your dad explained who is leads
Do you have a fireplace to burn the logs?
I've been wondering how everyone's related for a long time! So, all the girls, besides your mom, are wives with maybe a cousin or two?
Where does Petey fits in the damily tree? Is he related?
I always wondered if turnout was just an opposite procedure of when they came in. Very interesting, it’s neat how they have a pecking order, I didn’t realize that about horses. Just curious if you have any ideas how the pecking order is established is it based on the sheer size of a horse or their temperament? Find that soooos interesting!
Your dad did very well at recording his day and explaining a lot of his knowledge was shared as well. What an incredible teacher you’ve had with your father your entire life, in addition to your awesome mom! God bless your entire family including all your beautiful horses. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦
Another good day at the Stable. Was wondering if you have a waiting list of people who want to board their horses at your Stable.
I can surely see why people would be interested in coming there. You do so well with the horses. To all my friends at the Stable Life Thank you for letting us spend the day with you!👵🏻🦁🌻😀
Thanks so much for the family tree! I've been trying to figure out cousins, uncles, etc. for the past year! Just one question, who does Petey belong to???
I don't know much about horses. So I'm learning from you. I'm curious why they go out differently at night. And also why they aren't stabled at night. I seem to remember, there was a storm, where they damaged some gates, and I thought that happened at night. What about predators at night?
I loved this video, so many questions answered! so when you let Danny out in big field with Swuede whos boss?
At 6:40, did that horse barf?
Why don't you put them all in the same pasture?
Yea, but an integral is the area below a given segment of a function relative to the x axis.
Do these horses belong to other people and you board them? Do they just come to recover from an ailment?
A few owned by family, the rest boarded.
i AGREE. MOST PEOPLE THESE DAYS DRIVE LIKE SELFISH AZZHOLES. I CANT WAIT UNTIL PEOPLE ARENT ALLOWED TO DRIVE ANYMORE. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL MAKE THE ROADS SAFE AGAIN FOR OUR LIVESTOCK, PETS AND CHILDREN
Is Gavin a brother or cousin? Who are his parents. Curious as haven't heard, so many people there are related
WHAT ABOUT PEATY. IS HE KINFOLK?
Helpful neighbor.
Integral, not intregal.
That's just sad you didn't have a brother or sister. After all, it takes TWO grown adults to sign the papers to shove your mom and dad into an old folks home like Shady Pines.
Sampson regurgitating water? Wtf?
