Sometimes what you watned to do isn't what you wind up doing. And sometimes a miss winds up a hit! It is all about how you can pivot and rescue what didn't turn out right.
Weve all had those days when nothing seems to go right but it turned out ok I would have put some rainbow wax on the outside to emphasize the grain but all in all a great job mate
All part of life’s rich pattern. ‘Turned’ out all right in the end 🌞
Thank you. Yes I was delighted to get something out of this.
Glad you stayed with it, nice save. Full View and Like
Thank you 👍Me too!

Thank you for the support. Yes, this one was certainly a series of happy accidents!

It was just a relief to get this one off my lathe! Thanks for the ideas.
although you say everything that could have gone wrong went wrong, I don't agree, the burning worked wonders, and the torch didn't blow up
Wood turning is more and more about finding solutions. I hadn't thought about the torch, so yes I guess that was a win! Thanks for watching.
The holes looked a bit weird in my opinion. The finished result was nice.
Yeah I agree. I don't know why I had the urge to try texturing this piece. Thanks for watching
