born in 1944 growing up without telly every week mom and dad took me to the pictures I saw so many musicals Had to wait till I could go on my own to see Can Can as it was set in the follie bergere excuse the spelling
Some great musicals but obviously time restraints for an hour long show prevented many more musicals….could have had a 2 or 3 part series…but logically costs play a big factor in producing these shows. RIP Paul and Olivia.
How could you miss calamity Jane, Oklahoma, paint your wagon, Camelot, my four lady and the rocky horror musical? Not even an mention? Who the hell chose those?
Because he is a talented stage actor and a good singer... what you think of his persona is of no import. That is the problem with the modern world noone distinquishes between work and person anymore, if they had do you think jefferson would have become president.
@@pandorazbox9659 Jefferson was a slave-owner and possibly the world would have been better off without him being president. We will never know what could have been. James Corden was on this show, but how many other people would have been more welcome on this show than him? It's okay to think and talk about these things.
THE WIZARD OF OZ is not the "first live action technicolor movie." It is also not the first live action movie in 3 strip technicolor. The first full length feature in color is BECKY SHARP from 1935. There were 3 strip shorts before then. 2 strip technicolor features were made during the silent era. I think the earliest was THE GULF BETWEEN from around 1917. Only some frames exist.
They showed the picture of the original cast member, Buddy Ebsen, but they said ‘Jack Haley as the scarecrow’ . Haley replaced Ebsen because the metallic makeup made Ebsen sick.
Critics always rag on Brando. I felt his singing voice was not that far off from the quality of Gene Kelly's. Also, for a non dancer he was fun in the Havana scenes.
Quite a poor selection of musicals, What about calamity Jane, what about easter parade, what about jesus christ superstar,...i dont know how to love hım, come on, pebbledashing the broken walls. This was a good idea badly executed. Shame cos i love musicals and paul ogrady.

Why on gods green earth is James Corden qualified to give his opinion in this show?

check out Maurice Chevaliers, Rhythm of the rain.
Great fun, too bad time constraints limit the number of films covered.
