Great video , interested in the distance that walk travelled each day and the time it took, I find your video's very informative been and done a few after watching 👍
Thanks for you kind words, I'm glad you are enjoying the videos! Based on my ancient Bibb guidebooks, Perth Hills Discovery Centre to Waalegh is 20.7km, and Waalegh to the Mt Dale pickup point is 18.1 km. We took a long time walking because I was filming. We got to camp 7 hours after starting on the first day, and the second day was 6 hours. So looking at a slow average pace of 3km/h, but that includes stopping for a not so quick lunch on both days, plus me walking back to get the camera after setting it up for shots multiple times
LOL, we considered it but definitely not worth it given the old crossing/pick up point Alissa was coming to get us from was just a few hundred metres from the track junction vs adding a couple of kilometres to go the long way round. We'll definitely do the realignment when I do the actual Bibbulmun series, but that's not happening until Miles is old enough to do it with me

I miss my Holden HQ Kingswood.
So you didn’t do the big uphill on the Dale Rd realignment? It’s a lovely re-route - but a hard sell if at the end of your hike lol
