My sister and mom have a mortgage. Before my mom Passed she told my sister that she wanted me to take over the mortgage and keep the house as my sister already had a house. I gave my sister 5000 dollars and took over payments. I have been paying the mortgage for 10 years now and I want to add my name to the deed. Their is still money owed on the house, but I have kept up payments. Do I have to refinance to get my sister off, or can we just have her removed as that is what she wants. Or can I add my name to the mortgage and just keep paying ? Thank you
When u add someone to the quitclaim deed, in the line (Grantee). Do u add both names ? Would u have to put John Doe and or Jane doe or just John doe and Jane doe? I just wonder if you have to and and or or just the and?
@mybuddythelaywer can you add someone to your deed with out adding them to the Mortgage loan and how long does the Process take to add someone to your deed
Hello, my understanding is that a Quit Claim Deed specifically is for a quick way to transfer the deed of the owner of the house to someone else where the owner does not own the house anymore? You have to use a Sale Deed or a Gift Deed to add someone to the owner's deed, giving that person a percentage of shared ownership with the house. Your thoughts on this!!
I live in Portland OR, and my house is paid for, I would like to add my sister to my deed, she has been living with me for a few years now and I want to make sure she'll be OK if something happens to me. If I added her with a quick claim is she going to owe Taxes? Is a quick claim a completely solid or is there another kind of deed that is completely impregnable? Thanks.
I and my sister where added to our parents house when they passed. The question is if i wanted to sell our house but mt sister doesnt.. is there any way around this stand off Can I sell even if she doesnt want too. the problem is that the house is paid off ,but my sister cant afoord to help with fix up and property taxes which fall on me. My dad signed his home over to a woman he had a relationship with in the 80's. She the signed it back over to him. No one knows if they were married. My dad then signed the deed over to his brother. Before my dad passed away he willed the house and property to me his son. My uncle dad's brother signed off from the property to give me full access to the property. I'm wanting to sale the property. But the title company is seeing a deed signed to my dad by that woman and they are having a problem. The problem is, they want someone who is not related to both parties to sign a affidavit say the two were or were not married. What does that have to do with me trying to sale my now owned home inherited from my dad?
My husband is on a mortgage thats on his mother's property. His name was not added to the deed. She is a co signer on the mortgage. If she dies and leaves the property to someone else or she doesn't leave it to anyone, what right does he have to this property? We are currently living on this property. We live in Georgia
My wife's grandpa passed away. Her parents are handling the home which is owned outright. Would they be able to put my wife and myself on the deed with them or would this cause issues.
I am in Florida. Want to add my relative. House is paid no mortgage. . Just go to the court house and fill out application or do I have to fill out a quick claim deed .Thank for your advice.
if nobody pays the taxes what do you think will happen? You and her won't be under the roof of the house too long; towns seize houses/land for unpaid taxes. She should pay half if you're giving half ownership, but doesn't have to give a dime; hope she gives you a dirty sanchez - but love makes a fool of all men. Just pay your taxes pol core...
Give it a try yvette; i'm a good healthy male 35 years into life, and quite a horny type! Would you have a deed that needs a virile gentleman on it? I clean up nicely ms brown...
