Looking forward to the repair videos. Could you do a collab video with ChrisFix? You both live in NJ.

I always feel like I rip the shit out of my motorcycle when I go off road (it's an obese adventure bike, not a dirt bike), but damn, this is a hell of a lot more expensive than the motorcycle. I usually figure a 2 week trip of a few thousand miles will be somewhere between $250 and $500 in damage to the bike, but vehicle off road looks like an expensive hobby.

It's definitely not cheap but having the skills on repairs and the driving is very useful as that works nicely at breakdowns at the trails as well as overall truck maintenance. Off road driving is also as damaging or as easy depending on the trails you choose. Also, having the skills of repair means you don't have to pay as much to labor.

Think it's time to do her up Aussie style. Get a tube bender involved in making connections between bumpers and sliders. Then up to the roof to complete the full exoskeleton. So amazing to watch these guys rolling sideways into ravines. Then have thier buddies winch them back up. Without a scratch on the body panels😂

Haha that's an awesome suggestion! It is definitely amazing to see some of these crawler rigs with full roll cages. I can go a little more aggressively then on the rock trails 😆

Ok this is fun. Are you planning on replacing the rear spring hangers? I have the dmz gusseted motor and trans mounts. They are pretty stellar. I have the 3 point tire ratchet strap, and I'm not using it, do you want it? It's made for spares in your situation

Yessir, I'm planning on designing and fabbing up a set of rear spring perches. I'll have to look into that motor mount gusseting style as well! I was also thinking of designing and fabbing up a similar idea to the "bomb proof motor mount kit" are you currently using stock motor mounts, Diego? With regards to the 3 point ratchet straps, sure I can take them from you, thanks! I'll be at the pilgrimage again this year so we can link up then. I still owe you a beach trip LOL. The Taco's hard down at this point until the pilgrimage but maybe afterwards I can set up a beach trip, it should still be relatively warm enough down here.

@@KFloTacoma well I just blew my steering rack, so I wont be at the pilgrimage unless I can get it done by then. We will see what stock looks like . But the beach sounds rad I can't wait! I have the dmz gusseted motor and trans mounts. Seem to be good, but I would like to see what you do. One way or another, I will see you soon!

Jeez, dude. How'd you blow out that Tundra/LC steering rack? Yea, I've gotten the motor mounts on to get the truck to be usable, I'll gusset the frame on the motor mounts probably a bit later. I have a 3d scanner that I gotta get better at using so I'm using that to design the spring perches. Yea, the beach is amazing! Definitely our favorite place to camp out!

@@KFloTacoma I am not gentle, and talking to Solo motorsports, with 40s two years is all I can expect. I will buy a new one, send the current beck for rebuild, and just keep one on hand for the inevitable failure. Pay to play. I'ma go watch your be video about the mounts rn!
