    Where is the sun
    That shone on my head
    The sun in my life
    It is dead
    It is dead
    Where is the light
    That would play
    In my streets
    And where are the friends
    I could meet
    I could meet
    Where are the girls
    I left far behind
    The spicks and the specks
Of the girls on my mind
    Where is the sun
    That shone on my head
    The sun in my life
    It is dead
    It is dead
    Where are the girls
    I left far behind
    The spicks and the specks
Of the girls on my mind
    Where are the girls
    I left far behind
    The spicks and the specks
Of the girls on my mind
Where is the girl I loved
    All along
    The girl that I loved
    She's gone
    She's gone
    All of my life
    I call yesterday
    The spicks and the specks
Of my life 've gone away
    All of my life
    I call yesterday
    The spicks and the specks
Of my life 've gone away

My father rented a house to the Gibb family in the early 60s. We lived in that home before moving into a larger house across the street. The only nemory i have of the Gibb family is looking across the street at a very young Andy Gibb and their German Shepherd dog.

@@eddygsmusicworld1708 - The guy is an idiot musically. Their so called disco era could accurately be described as R&B but the Bee Gees got labelled as disco, but their earlier stuff was very inventive, sometimes mistaken for the Beatles, and they did a lot of great stuff (Robin's solo cd's and their work with other artists) about which he has no clue. That's like saying you don't like ice cream because you don't like strawberry ice cream when there are dozens of flavors. He needs an education. I was born the same year as the twins and grew up with a lot of great music in the 60's and beyond. You can't dismiss someone because of a couple of songs you dislike or an era that was labelled as something. Robin cracks me up in this video. He surely was a character although he didn't always show it.

The three siblings who made up the Bee Gees had their first break when a DJ asked them to record some tracks for him. In a BBC tribute screened shortly after the death of Robin Gibb, they explained that after releasing no less than 13 singles, they felt they were not making any real progress, and decided to head back to the UK to ride the Mersey boom - which was launched by The Beatles. They issued what was intended to be their last Australian piece, “Spicks and Specks” (1966) and off they went.
Back then, they sailed rather then flew, and a week out they realized the song had reached #1❕💙🎼💜

He has some cool, modern-looking shades on, and it looks like he got his teeth fixed, and they’re toothpaste white. 😃 I like Robin’s reaction to Barry breaking into song. We're so lucky they got to make this promotional film. I thought at first it was just some early footage of them uploaded to go with the song, but they actually mouth the lyrics so it was made for the song. They were only on the small independent label Spin Records, so they must have thought a lot of them to do this for their first big hit. The talent was all there already.

For the aviation buffs, the takeoff is from Hoxton Park airport on runway 34 and the Cessna distributor looks like Hangar 400 (??) at Bankstown Airport. They're in the western suburbs of Sydney, NSW, Australia. Hoxton Park was one of thousands of emergency landing strips built during 1942 in Australia. It was used by light aircraft and was a real haven for wildlife until redeveloped into warehouses after 2008. It lay just east of the M7 near Cowpasture Road. The latter takes its names from "The Cowpastures", a location where early British settlers found cattle that had escaped from Sydney Cove shortly after the NSW penal colony was established. Bankstown Airport is Sydney's main light aircraft airfield and is on a site cleared and developed during the depression for job creation.
