was thinking about this car earlier on, looking forward to it i was doubtful at first but the finished product looks so good, i love it! your redesigns are getting better and better
@@AdwikSorte No sh*t..?! and you are the expert in design? I myself am a graphic designer and I don't agree with you. If you can design one thing, you can design everything, maybe you just need more time to figure it out. Great respect for The sketch monkey and his skills for exterior design and I believe that he can design interior as well, as long as he want to do it at all.
Nikola Stosic I disagree with that “if you can design one thing, you can design anything”. There are levels to design based on difficulty. Interior car designers can truly design anything (car interiors/exteriors, products, fashion, interior, graphic) they’re the jack of all trades. Most exterior designers can’t do interiors, but they can do products, fashion, ect... Product designers are the next best. Lastly interior, fashion and graphic designers are the types of designers that are good but can’t really leave their area of expertise (basically no fashion designer can design a car)
I own one, (my daughter drives it) and the only thing the base model needs is better gear ratio to give it more punch at the lower bandwidth. At mid to upper powerband this car can move, and when that tucked in spoiler pops up people take notice.
As a crossfire owner and lover I appreciated for this video! Tell you what, I made almost everything from this video by just replacing the springs to lowering H&R -30mm. I never really liked a design of XF, but my lowered red with black now looks perfect as for me. And I choose this car not for design, I bought it because of sound and durability. And I enjoy it 4 years already and don’t want to change it.
As an owner of 3 crossfires, I can 1000% agree with you the rear end is too high off the ground. I genuinely wish they would have somehow made the back bumper come farther down without making it look weird.
Could you do a possible redesign of the Chrysler ME412 concept? Is already a beautiful looking car but make it a bit more modern. Chrysler needs a new halo car since the viper went away.
When this car came out I laughed at it because I thought it looked ridiculous, I saw one yesterday and thought it didn't look so bad after all. I decided to look for your redesign of it and here I am.
I would of elongated the rear lines keeping the strong lines down the side and kept the strip lights at the back but maybe half the size. Made the rear glass wider to give better vision within the original lines. Bentlyesque with a bit of porsche rear overhang and minimal tailight size.
I enjoy watching you work - and play - with these designs. One thing that might provide a final touch: remove the Chrysler logo, leave just the word CROSSFIRE on the trunk lid - let the logo feature in front.
Can you do a more in depth re-design if the svx like this? I think the body of the svx has a lot of potential and I would really like to see what it would possibly look like if Subaru brought it back today!
i adore this car! Your redesign retains and improves-upon the Art Deco beauty of it! Have you ever noticed that a lot of the lines on the front end (across the grille, reflectors, bumpers, etc ) are reflective of the Batmobile from Batman The Animated Series?
THis is awesome. I just discovered your channel. By the way, do you have a redesing of a car like the R4? that was the car my dad had when I was little. It would be nice to see a modern take on it
I still own a crossfire, I like your redesign but I think I stick to the original. On the other hand, can you redesign the 1998 viper gts? I like that viper, but would like to see it with your ideas. Seee ya
Hey man. Me and a few of the folks in the isuzu group on Facebook were wondering if you could modernize any of the isuzu trucks, suvs and/or cars? Namely the isuzu trooper, but anything would be cool. Especially a couple models 😁 anyhow, it would be cool to see your take on it bro.
I'd like to see how you would update the front of this one too. I always liked this car, but revisiting it after all this time it really does look dated.
you made a car I hated into a car I'd buy! 😲 I know you love quirky cars as much as I do... How about doing an update of the the Fiat Coupe? I'd love to see what you did with it😍
I like the width you have created but i would have stretched the bumper shape width wise amd made the taillights go from top of the bumper to where you have them like clean slashes of red light.
I think you should incorporate the current design language of the manufacturer you’re doing. This looks XLR’ish not only I think it would make the challenge harder but also look better
For me it's too many converging lines at the back. Maybe move the horizontal line where the Chrysler badge is a bit lower and carry it across the tail, widen the rear of the roof out to the inside of the tail lights, carry the bumper right across so the lights don't look Cadillac-ish, and loose that awkward convergence of lines on top of the bumper either side of the number plate. But hey just me, pay no mind, love your work.
Nice. Would have been even better if you simplified the side vents by removing the ribs, which (in my humble opinion) were always kind of over the top (awesome original design, such as this doesn't need excessive decoration).
Better, but the main problem with the design remains unchanged - the humped Marlin fastback that goes down to the bumper level. I like fastbacks in general but this is the wrong solution. The easiest thing to fix if you have one of these is the stupid grooves in the hood. Fill them and repaint. They also appeared on the Sebring and disappeared with the Sebring facelift after they got rid of Cerberus. I never understood where they came from - boat decks or something? Maybe they should have done the hoods in teak.
I always concidered Chrysler a rought diamond about its design potential. You could create many series of designs under the Chrysler brand that fits perfectly with its history (More than 100 years) So sad nobody see it
The vertical taillights make the car look like a Cadillac.
I thought the same thing. I own a crossfire, I prefer the way it is.
Me too, my srt’s is perfect the way they are (both are hard tops blue)
@@beingdad1502 same here dont redesing my 2007 crossfire plz ^^
Imagine a Hummer as a hatchback?
Hmmmm🤔 Sketchmonkey its your mission if you choose to accept it...
Hummer kei car!
SpongeBob Squad good idea 💡
@@camthewallacefan3323 Cheers mate
There is a hatchback version of the original HMMWV
there is even civilian hatchback unless you mean like tiny economy box
Now it’s looks like Chrysler. And it’s looking magnificent...
I remember asking you to do this back when I owned a crossfire. ..... by far your best work to date A+
was thinking about this car earlier on, looking forward to it
i was doubtful at first but the finished product looks so good, i love it! your redesigns are getting better and better
Here’s a challenge from Sweden
Try to remake a interior, maybe the old corvette or something like a Volvo 240
Wow yes! Great idea about the interior redesign!
I've been asking for ages, finally someone that agrees, I hope he does it

Younger Depths of Car Designs that’s why it’s a challenge

A lot of people hate the design. I think it looks amazing, and sporty. It's got a decent V6, it's light, and it's RWD.
Some say there is someone putting a Turbo LS in one....

I had a manual crossfire. Great little fun cars.

Dude, you are a good designer. When I do my car designs I like to watch your videos.
Super duper cool!!! I like that sleek agressive line! Really well done!
I absolutely loved this design when it came out (and never was a fan of Chryslers), and you did a great job updating it.
omg you finally did it! wish I could give more than 1 like!

These redesign videos are actually amazing 😵
When it first came out Jeremy Clarkson said from the back it looked like a dog taking a dump😂😂😂
And he was right
You can say the same thing with all porsche 911...

Beautiful, you should re-design the front end with vertical headlights to match it. (why 5 side blades instead of 4 with greater in-between distances
What about the Citroen 2CV if it was designed today?
What a transformation! I liked the old design as well but the redesign looks even better!
New taillights remind me of the '09 Stingray concept, which was awesome. Still wish the C8 design was more influenced by it... Nice touch!
Great video bro your work is inspirational and you made a great looking cross fire :)
The SRT6 Crossfire is one of my favorite cars that I may never get the pleasure of owning but I was PUMPED when I saw you had done a redesign of it.
This looks good now!
Good job. You are right about the rear needing to come down lower.
Make the front design!
