  • Neurologists from Switzerland engineer electrical implants that enable paralysed patients to walk within an hour. The device further enabled them to swim, cycle, and perform other activities independently. ThePrint’s Sandhya Ramesh explains new findings from Lausanne.

    I am a spinal cord injured person, and I have heard many if such news and research since I became spinal cord injured 4 years back.....let's hope....

    I have a spinal cord injury. There are many new things in developement, which gives hope. I have another advice implanted into my stomach... hopefully it will work. 😄

    Hi Mm,
    I had postpolio paralysis in my right leg lower limb with 60% permanent disability when i was just 3 month old.
    I m presently 52 yrs old . I use caliper in my right leg . but after removing caliper i m not able to walk.is there any Device that can b implanted im my leg to help me to walk slowly at least to washroom at night when i have removed my caliper while going to sleep.
