Watch his biography. Doctor told him that he can’t play cricket due to TB and his muscles were too weak … after all the hurdle he became the world fastest bowler in the cricket history . He belonged from a very poor family but now he is famous and rich 😊. Determination and his passion for the game was crazy ♥️🇵🇰♥️
The only flat footed athlete whom defied the norms and yet delivered the fastest ball of cricket history 161.3kmph. and lethal because he downed so many great batters of that era with his killer bouncers, Shoaib Akhtar for you. 💖
@@rebeldragon3257 flat footed means he didn't have the normal arches in his feet that help one walk properly. rather his feet came in contact with ground flat, all surface touching the ground, that makes it difficult to walk for the person. it's a congenital anomaly of the feet
Funny story about the clip at 9:00 the guy he is bowling to is Brett Lee his closest competitor in terms of sheer pace and skill played for Australia. The gesture he made before bowling was letting Brett Lee know 'he was going to kill him'. But Shoaib bowls a Yorker and Brett Lee was disappointed he was not given out and had to face another ball😂.
Fastest bowler in the history of cricket, bowled fastest delivery in 2003 at 161.3 km/h (100.2 mph), and still holds record two decades later despite new athletes having better facilities/fitness and records being broken all around, he was too good for his time, some of the best batsmen say there scared of him and tried to stay on other end. A real entertainer, as Allan Donald said "Quickest and Meanist".
You two truly are real sports fans. You understand cricket better than I do. I never liked the game till my mom got with an ex cricketer who explained the finer points of the game to me but you just got it straight away.I love watching you two.
Shoaib Akhtar is faster than his metaphor, he was called Rawalpindi Express, a fast train... but that train's speed was slower than Akhtar's bowling speed...!!
His passion for cricket makes him look ruthless, but the man has a heart of gold. After making it big in cricket he helped everyone who helped him achieve his goals. He even helped the family of the road side vendor who used to serve him sugar cane juice.
Shoaib was a lot quicker when he was younger. He could still bowl 2 or 3 balls an over into the high 90s mph in his latter years but when he was younger he'd bowl 90 plus mph very consistently as he was obsessed with being the fastest in the world and the first to bowl 100mph. His stats put him as one of the most lethal wicket takers in world cricket to date.
Ive only just come across your channel, Ive been watching cricket my whole life, and the understanding you have of the ball physics for fast bowling is seriously impressive
The reason why the ball moves in the air: This happens when the ball is a bit older, i.e., unlike baseball, in cricket the same ball is used and in Test Matches, the ball is replaced with a new ball after 80 overs (about 5 hours 20 mins of play). You will notice that the fielders and bowler rubbing the ball on their trousers. What they are doing is shining one side of the ball while keeping the other side rough. Now, the bowler will bowl/throw the ball - rough side into the wind. Ideally this is between 80-90 MPH. This allows the ball to shimmer and move in the air. This is a simple explanation. The ball swings one way or another depending on how the bowler grips the ball. It swings more under cloudy conditions and also under lights (evening/night matches). Hope this explains it somewhat.
The yorker is most effective as a surprise ball. As a batsman, if you know it's coming, you can adjust your stance and possibly score off it. If not, you don't have time to adjust. Most bowlers use it sparingly although in modern T20 cricket it's an effective death ball to less capable batsmen at the end of the innings. It's also quite hard to bowl a yorker because if you over-pitch it become a full toss and therefore an easy hit. This helps explain Shoaib's exceptional mastery. As an amateur, if I ever bowled a yorkecrit would have been by accident!
The recognition he deserves, he didn't got that, he is one the greatest players in cricket, big problem with cricketers is they only praise to batter's the bowlers never get that fame
The way He gets it to move in the air is swing. Depending on the angle you release the seam and the side of the ball that is rough or shiny. Also He is big user of reverse swing which is when the ball gets so beat up that it starts to swing away from the rough side of the ball. Super hard to face especially at that speed
Hey lads , there is a few differences between both Batting completely different, And Pitching and fast bowling , Both 22yrds , But Batsmen occupy the wicket /pitch till they get out and accrue runs , so no free slogs no ,aiming at the stumps a Batsmen must stand in between the stumps and ball so now your first priority is to protect yourself, then score , A hard ball , bounces off a turf wicket it can be a green top and the ball fairly flys and i mean fly , off a length that is going chest height all day all of a sudden one will rear violently off a length and its coming at your head at 95 mph , or pitched up and hit a bowlers foot mark sharp deviation this is why when facing a yorker bowler bat out of your crease , make him alter thevlength he'll bowl shorter ball so as to put you on back foot , then up in the zone , Geoff Thompson bowled the first constant barrage of bouncers and yorkers ( sand shoe crushers) Onya Tommo , but you have to get over ball shyness , a loose ball crossbat slogs good balls play straight and that means get your body behind the line of the ball as it tracking on stumps , hits body ouch cheers . His joints were hypermobile... His elbow had "hyperextension" which allowed him to bowl faster... However, due to same condition, his knees also had a somewhat hyperextension. Every time he bowled, it took toll on his knees.... But, he was knuclehead Punjabi Gujjar. That's why he kept going on even with excrutiaing pain...
Geoff was not as quick as Shoaib. the wicketkeepers didn't need to be as far back, his strike rate is significantly lower than Shoaib, most of Geoff's wickets were lbw/catches, the stumps didn't got flying to the moon like when Shoaib hits the wicket. he his visible slower than Shoaib in video. I reckon Geoff bowled 90-95, maybe touching 96/97 on some occasions. Shoaib bowled consistently at 94-98 in his prime, some of his slower deliveries were 89/90. but if Geoff and Shoaib were around at the same time, i'm sure he would have found a way to get quicker and match Shoaib (ie how Brett lee and Shoaib had a rivalry for speed). Geoff didn't have a rival on his level.
@chozusmakavelli per Wikipedia: In December 1975, after the second Test match against the West Indies at the WACA, he was timed with a release speed of 160.45 km/h using accurate, high-speed photo-sonic cameras. The study was carried out by Tom Penrose and Brian Blanksby of the University of Western Australia, and Daryl Foster of the Secondary Teachers' College in Perth.
@@MrAdriaxe many bowlers have been recorded at similar speeds, it's not unusual for a fast bowler to get near or around 160kph, but bowling at that speed consistently is a different matter (wind, ground, country, air quality/humidity, direction all factor) if you compare shoaib and jeffs statistics there's a big gap:- jeffs strike rate is 49 & 52 (odi and test) shoaibs strike rate is 31 and 45. shoaib also played much more games and much further into his mature years when he went fat, slow, after injuries, and high on drugs/alcohol. 50 odi's Vs 140+odi's, otherwise shoaibs statistics would be much more impressive (i recall his strike rate in his early career was around 20). i also recall watching shoaib bowling consistently at 96-99mph, with swing. his warm up deliveries were 93/94mph. ps i know a few guys in the professional cricket circuit, they used to tell me stories that shoaib was out all night partying, drinking, smoking without sleep, then turn up for an international cricket match in the morning bowling at 98/99mph.

Every single delivery was a knife edge moment, the batsman would mishit a ball, and it would fly for 6, it would bounce off their heads and go for 4, a bouncer would bounce over the keeper by 2 metres and go into the crowd. every batsman had a look of fear and disbelief at every delivery even if they connected.
I wonder, two famous back to back yorkers to Dravid and Sachin from Team India in Kolkata 1999 test are missing in this video. Anyways nice to watch the pindi express Shoiab Akhtar.
You were right. He beat fastest bowling record of the great Jeff Thompson of 70's era of Australia. Too bad bowling this day take a series toll on the body and Shoaib Akhtar was no exemption and he had to retire early and pre-maturely. Once he hit a bouncer to the greatest ever Sachin Tendulkar and it was no fault of Tendulkar because human reflexes are unable to cope with this quick fast bowling. He hit Gary Kirsten, another great Brian Lara. He is the only one to break 100 mile/hour barrier You heard Michael Holding saying 'sure those bowls are lethal"another super fast bowler of his era of 70's and 80's
Oh yeah absolutely no way to react. You have to predict where it will go. I know in baseball you have less than 0.5 of a second to swing once the ball is released out of the pitchers hand. I would assume it’s very similar time frame.
He is a fighter he had issues with his knees doctor told him he can’t play sports he is flat foot But still he had the longest run up and also he has the world record in cricket history fastest ball he bowled
It is so funny to me how doctors used to think you cant play sports as a flat footed person back in the day. Whats even funnier is now there are actual exercises that can be used to increase your foots arch
1:41 Not "throw", it's called a "Delivery" or you can also call it a "Ball". 6:46 That's not T20 format. It's ODI format which is 50 Overs & the scorecard at the bottom shows (40) which means due to some weather conditions the match either started late or may have been interrupted in between which caused the reduction of 10 Overs from the Innings. 9:19 No one will ever say Shoaib Akhtar ever did Spin Bowling. Spin Bowling is completely different & so is their Run Up which is way shorter & very noticeably so. 11:51 He has said that his training always started with lots of running. It's probably true for all genuine Fast Bowlers.
Remember when comparing speeds that these are not "Throws", You cannot bend the arm and chuck the ball. Therefore the long run up , the body mechanics and momentum. PS: Shoaib got banned - illegal bowling action (throwing or Chucking) and had to reform it. React to Fire in Babylon documentary. Most Feared and Revered Bowling Quartet of the 70s and 80s from West Indies.
Shorter hair, younger Shoaib. Longer hair, older Shoaib. Also it’s “toe-crusher”. And they never showed the footage of Shoaib in the Calcutta Test, 1999, when he took dravid and tendulkar on consecutive deliveries and silenced a vociferous home crowd of 100,000 in one go.
Two of the best yorkers were whne he bowled Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar in Chennai Test for duck. Silenced the whole crowd of around 100k. They skipped all of the ones against the Indians 😂
I am from Pakistan he is the fastest baller in the world and still nobody had brake his record. And that time shoaib his knees was damage when he was balling that time
Full tosses are easier to smack, and Shoaib got smacked around for bowling full tosses as well. But if you're bowling at pace and late swing in the air, you have a chance. But still, full tosses are most of the times easier to line up and smash. It's when the ball touches the surface and does stupid things that makes the batsmen sweat.
You should react to his biography ............ he wasnt born with this talent .... he created SHOAIB AKHTAR and with the blessings of ALLAH he achieved everything with an unusual and weakest knees you can find
Bowlers with reverse swing, pace and accurate yorkers are menace to batsmen's toes and feet. There have been plenty of foot injuries because bowlers would aim for batsmen's feet.

Where is his bat breaking balling clip
Shorter hair, younger Shoaib. Longer hair, older Shoaib.
Also it’s “toe-crusher”.
And they never showed the footage of Shoaib in the Calcutta Test, 1999, when he took dravid and tendulkar on consecutive deliveries and silenced a vociferous home crowd of 100,000 in one go.
Two of the best yorkers were whne he bowled Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar in Chennai Test for duck. Silenced the whole crowd of around 100k. They skipped all of the ones against the Indians 😂
Check shoaib deadly bouncers
He was the real speed star
He was a menace to society 😊
2 of the greatest Yorkers he bowled are not included in it. It was against world's two best batsmen of India in two consecutive bows.
For yorkers watch "WAQAR YOUNIS" he was the real bad boy.

Shoaib Akhtar is the fastest bowler in the world with a fastest ball of 161.3 km/h
He's the worlds fastest bowler till date. No claim, he conquered
We only say claimed because we weren’t sure and back in the day they recorded speed differently
@@RealFansSports Good to see you guys diving into cricket. Enjoy the journey, love and respect
@@farisarr appreciate you for checking us out as well! Much love brother
I am from Pakistan he is the fastest baller in the world and still nobody had brake his record. And that time shoaib his knees was damage when he was balling that time
Pace master the proud of Pakistan ❤❤
Shoaib Akhtar
Sir did you watch waqar younis yorkers ??
Full tosses are easier to smack, and Shoaib got smacked around for bowling full tosses as well. But if you're bowling at pace and late swing in the air, you have a chance. But still, full tosses are most of the times easier to line up and smash. It's when the ball touches the surface and does stupid things that makes the batsmen sweat.
Yeah that definitely makes sense!
You should react to his biography ............ he wasnt born with this talent .... he created SHOAIB AKHTAR and with the blessings of ALLAH he achieved everything with an unusual and weakest knees you can find
React to best yorkers in the IPL ever bowled.
You would like it
Fastest bowler of all time!
Bowlers with reverse swing, pace and accurate yorkers are menace to batsmen's toes and feet. There have been plenty of foot injuries because bowlers would aim for batsmen's feet.
I could only imagine! That’s cra6
