Ab de Villiers was the most consistent player
And let me share a fun fact...he scored 28 runs from 238 balls without hitting a single boundary against Australia for saving a test match
And in another instance..he scored 43 runs from 297 balls against India in india at turning pitch ...both in test matches
This is the best display of skill i have ever witnessed in cricket...
We agree 100% that was insane!
@@RealFansSports there is another game of cricket that is worth watching... On (15.39') in this video it shows The 438 Game - RSA v AUS... That game was historical in many ways...
You gotta watch more
@@RealFansSports RUNS not POINTS!!! Got it?
@@tonyroy8123 ahh points got it. Thanks
In cricket AB DE VILLIERS is called '' the alien '' he is also known as MR .360 because he smashes the ball all over the ground for sixes and fours. he's known to be one of the greatest cricketers in the world of cricket .
never missed ABD's innings....I am from India and ABD is South African, i would root to ABD even when he is playing against India and scored tons of runs, and man he has messed up Indian bowlers in many games, even now after he is retired he is my favorite player.
Remember his last international game when he went out 3 dark in a row😭😭
The ball isn't kept by the spectators as a souvenir. It has to be returned. Cricket balls lose their hardness/shine during an innings which has an enormous effect on how much it bounces, swings or spins.
Sometimes the ball will get hit out often the park and is lost. The umpires have a collection of balls that have been used for around the same number of overs as the lost ball. They try to find a ball that is approximately in the same condition as the lost one.
In Test matches, the old ball is/can be replaced after a designated number of overs (80), when the captain of the bowling side so chooses. This is called 'taking the new ball' and can often result in a batsman getting out due to the extra bounce or swing. Conversely the ball travels faster off the bat as it isn't soft and which can result in more runs being scored!
There are a huge number of factors, atmospheric conditions, the pitch wearing, deteriorating/breaking up, the footmarks caused by the bowlers and so on, that mean the playing conditions are constantly changing. This is what makes cricket great, as players have to adapt to the conditions as well as the state of play/the game and the pressure to perform.
In IPL, Virat and AB duo was deadly.
And Gayle , Virat and Abd trio was supreme.
I could only imagine after watching this video! We have some more cricket videos coming out in the next week or two
That’s wen ipl was actually good the old rcb now it’s just all about money
AB is very famous in India. He played with Virat Kohli in RCB in IPL. Indian celebrates even if he is scoring against us.
The announcer is Michael Holding, a West Indies star of the 70s and 80s. A very fast bowler from Jamaica. Sadly retired from announcing, a good and principled man who knows his cricket.
And hitting it to the left for a right batter is known as leg side or onside. To the right for a right handed batter is to the off side.
On 27 February 2015, he scored 162 runs off 66 balls in a match against the West Indies in Pool B, leading South Africa to their second-highest total in World Cup history (408), at Sydney Cricket Ground. With this feat, he became the record holder for the fastest 50, 100 and 150 in ODI history.
Very sad that no one ever mentions Hashim Amla's 150+ runs from the other side!!!
True. He also had the best view in the house from the other end
He took a 100 more balls than AB lol
@@benaffleckisanokayactor Yeah except that every other typical batsman would hit a hundred or a 150 that way except ABD.. so there's nothing to laugh about
@@jeevithjerry6179 and you guys troll kohli
@@Smrit2002 There's a hater around the corner for everybody. Nothing can deny the fact that Kohli is the greatest batsman since 2010
You should watch the greatest 1 day game ever. The 438 game between South-Africa and Australia.. You won't regret it
In cricket the fans have to return the ball. The wear and tear on the ball plays a big part in the game.
Interesting. Does it play a part with grip for the pitchers?
@RealFansSports grip and also the newer harder ball is usually bowled by a fast bowler. It hits the pitch and the bat harder and faster,so could catch the batsman unawares. On the batting side ,you want your best batsmen facing the new ball, because harder balls goes faster to the boundary. On the other hand when the ball is older and has some wear and tear, the slower ,spin and seam bowlers get a better time of it and they also depend on the wear of the pitch to know where to direct the ball so it hits perfectly on any rut or break they might have detected.
That is why players are not allowed to run right down the middle of the pitch .
Some would deliberately pretend they forget when the umpire isn't looking, especially if they have already batted.
Cricket is a game of brains and tricks that most who don't know it will miss.
The umpires always have a box of used balls ,so in case the ball goes out the ground. They would chose one that mat have been used for the same amount of overs/or condition as the ball that was lost or as close to it as possible.
Hi from Guyana 🇬🇾 by the way. This West Indian mama is enjoying watching you discovering a sport we love.
@@RealFansSportsthe fielding team very carefully prepare the ball as the innings go on. They want one side of the ball shining and other side rough. They use their swear and polish one side of the ball constantly. This allow the ball to reverse swing towards the 40-50 overs. Fielding side do not want the ball replaced for any reason.
The lead up to the "438" game and then the final itself was an epic battle. Two teams leaving it all on the field
As a batsman you generally take a few deliveries to see and understand the pitch, AB just went straight for the jugular. Backward scoop for six off a pace bowler is crazy, bro did it like they were bowling a basketball to him.
You guys should check make a video of the "438" game. It's also cricket but it's the first time a team went past 400 runs ever then just to loose the game being out batted mostly by a Hershel Gibbs who has a hangover after drinking in the hotel bar till about 4 that morning
Lmao! Ok we can definitely check that out next recording session
This is truly one of the greatest performances in sports history. That shot on one knee where he takes the ball from way outside off stump is so difficult and he makes it look easy. Batting genius in this innings.
@@MrAdriaxe I just watched this back recently and am upset we were so knew to the sport to understand how amazing this was
For me Kallis is the greatest cricketer of all time. AB with the bat is like watching Messi, just a natural talent
I once met Kallis playing against Glamorgan in Colwyn Bay, he was MASSIVE! Hands like spades!
This is what puts him in the ranks of the greats like Sunil Gavaskar and Viv Richards
7:01 …. Unlike in baseball, if a spectator catches or gains possession of a match ball they have to give it back. In a Limited overs Cricket match they will usually use the same ball throughout an entire innings.
the crazy part was the previous record was 36 or 37 balls, so he beat it by a lot. nobody else has come close
this was the peak time to be an ODI batter though, and the WI were the best team to face as a batter.
spectators don't keep the ball ,its always returned, which is considered an honor
Once a Legend of Cricket said
" AB Devilliers is not a Human , He is an Alien " .
He is best in business but sadly due to politics in SA cricket board He took early retirement and He still can play cricket for at least 3 years more but He is man of words. Even In INDIA , when there is INDIA vs SOUTH AFRICA match , people from INDIA always cheers for ABD .If ABD is getting brutal against INDIA in Home ground, people still cheers for him . He earned public love ❤ all around the cricketing nations.
Don't forget, wear and shine on the ball is a big part of the game. It's the same ball - The crowd have to give the ball back, unlike baseball. If the ball is lost on a roof or goes in the river, they bring out a selection of old replacement used balls and pick one that is in a similar state..
The guy who smashed 2nd fastest century in ODI in 36 balls, plays for Team USA now.
In the worldcup later that year he broke world record for fastest 150
The player who hit 36 ball hundred, now plays for the USA in the on going T20 World Cup. His name is Corey Anderson, former New Zealand cricketer.
Playing in Pink jersey has become South African cricket team’s annual (2013-2020). The Proteas team wears Pink Jerseys once in a year in a home ODI match. The reason behind South African cricket team wearing pink jersey is for supporting and creating awareness on Breast Cancer, and collecting money for the people who are suffering from the disease.
The score is not the only achievement here. South Africa only lost two wickets to get the score (they had 8 batsmen left who didn't have to bat). Interesting fact: The pink uniforms worn by the South African team is in support of breast cancer.
The score was not 377 to 1. It was 377 with 1 out. West Indies had not batted yet.
Ahh ok thanks for explaining
At 3:47 you see the guy with pick golfer well he is South Africas highest goal scorer in soccer Benny McCarthy , he is Champions league Winner and currently attacking coach for Manchester united
A B De Villiers was a menace for bowlers. A legend.
Ab is emotions
Abd ‘s bday today
Shout out to this man
He was an 👽
If you are in the crowd and the ball comes to you, you don't keep it. It has to go back into play because the exact condition of the ball is a vital aspect of the game. If a ball gets damaged so it becomes unplayable a box of balls will be brought out and both captains must agree on a replacement ball that is as close as possible to the wear state of the damaged ball.
The greatest Batsman of All Time
ABD goat 🐐
The highest odi individual total is 264 runs by Rohit Sharma (INDIA).❤
Where was I on that day ? Right there in the crowd 😁
That’s awesome!!!
His Partner Hashim Amla be like - I've witnessed chaos & destruction from very close. How close? you can't even imagine.
Check out Adam Gilchrist's 57 ball century in the 2006 Ashes test series in Perth. What made it even more special was it happened in arguably the worlds biggest test series and both teams were considered two of the best.
Please check the match between Australia and south Africa which is most seed and loved by all because twice on the same day world record for most runs scored were broken. And it was once in a lifetime match. ie. 424 Australia vs 427 SA
That sounds like a must watch! We will add that to our react list and get it out soon!
@6:55 "He's making a lot of fans happy... Everybody get a ball"... Not in cricket... In cricket the ball has to be returned...
8:21 it's not 377 to 1... It's *for* one, as 1 batter down. You have a team of 11 but they have to bat as a pair, so each team has 10 wickets in hand at the start of an innings. This appears to be a first innings knock.
Point of interest - AB practiced his timing with a wicket. made sure he got it in the middle and in line with his eyes..
An absolutely savage innings!
Watch Nathan Astle's 222 for some of the best hitting you'll ever see, and some of the best echoing cracking from the bat you'll ever hear.
Nice reaction
Please more reaction on his video ✌❣️❣️
I have seen this live live 😌
That's why people call him Mr. 360•
Watching india's cricket match on same date .....them late evening got the breaking news of this world record
🤯🙌🏽🔥👍🏽🙏🏼👍🏽🙌🏽🔥👍🏽🙌🏽🔥🙏🏼
Baseball: full toss balls are being bowled
Cricket : full toss are in general are considered bad ball, easy for batsmen to hit
Just to update you guys, when the ball is in the croud it is returned to play they do not keep the balls like baseball
Yeah that’s crazy! We understand why because of the wear on the ball but we would have never of expected it
Mr.360 doing his thing😈
If after hitting the ball it touches the ground before reaching the boundary, it is a 4. If it doesn't it is a six. 👍👍
Oh okay we were thinking that but weren't exactly sure at first.
He is an alien 👽
Guys if u haven't seen maxwell's double 100 i will definitely recommend u to watch it because it was the best innings by a batsman in any form of cricket and that too in the world cup and that too in the pressure situation and when he was injured. You will definitely love it.
Steve smith started laughing at one point 😂😂😂
6:30 Yeah 4 is where the ball has bounced before the boundary rope somehow. 6 is hitting the boundary rope or going over. A fielder can accidentally parry a ball over the rope and that would be 6 (assuming it didn't bounce before then). You see that a little bit on hits that are very close to going for 6 anyway and they don't have room to catch the ball without touching the rope themselves.
If the ball touched that triangle pad before touching the grass that is a 6 so yeah that's what they were checking.
You don’t get to keep the ball if you catch it in the crowd. It has to be returned as the same ball is used until the umpires decide it is out of shape
He can play 360°.....he is known as Mr.360°
Look at the score , and field restrictions limited overs cricket , so it is harder to defend , that inner circle is crucial , it dictates a lot,
That's why we call him Mr. 360
He is the beast 🤩🤩 we miss you Mr360°
ABD ❤️ ABD🌷ABD!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
He broke the fastest 50 and fastest 100 and tide the 6s in one ODIs in one game

Unlike baseball you cannot keep the ball..crowd returnes it for the game to continue
Alien in football = messi👽
Alien in cricket = ABD👽
That same ball comes back from crowd..it has to last 50 overs..same for both sides
Sorry , just seen someone already educated you about it.
Adam Gilchrist and Chris Gale 👍
thought michael holding didnt like fifty over cricket, and yet here he is commentating on a fifty over game.
Just to be clear it was 377 for the loss of one wicket not 377 to 1 FFS.

@@RealFansSports and if you want views you can react to Virat Kohli..
ABD and virat both in a one team RCB you should watch that match
Nobody keeps the ball. They give it back. You have to keep playing with the same ball.
It's not exactly a record, but I won a trip to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil through a PlayStation competition. As result I was in the iconic Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro for the second round match between Colombia and Uruguay. That's where James Rodriguez scored an incredible goal that would be later voted as the Puskas award 2014, officially FIFA's best goal of year in all of football that year.
