- Rick Kelly has been hand making custom electric guitars, made from New York City reclaimed lumber, for the last 30 years. This is his story.
Video produced as part of the B&H Philip Bloom April documentary workshop.
Rick Kelly guitars are classic designed high quality instruments
handmade in New York.
Any player who knows the worth of what aged resonant wood is to a fine guitar understands the quality and beauty of what Rick Kelly creates.
A true testament to boutique guitars tailored to the player handmade in New York City.

Solid dude. Fixed my snapped Les Paul Headstock back in the late 90's. Fantastic work.
Stumbled into his shop with my son while walking around Greenwich Village. He was a cool guy who took time to tells us some of his story. Great experience.

What camera rig? And post production process for color grading? What lights, lens, camera? Sorry, its just really well made.
+Timothy Halleran It was the Canon C100 with a Canon 17-55 lens. I didn't have much gear with me that day so it was only a small led I used, as well as just the normal shop lights. It was a pretty mild post-process. Just corrected a few things and added a little bit of vignette blur because a lot of the image was so so overlit. Thanks for the question
Thanks. I'm debating between a canon c100 or a sony a7s...
