I don't think English is more difficult than Amharic, Amharic itself has a tricky grammar if you're learning it starting from there.... Especially if you start learning it in your adult age you will realize that.....አማርኛ እንደውም ከባድ የሆኑ pattern የለላቸው grammars አሉት፤ያንን ልታውቅ የምትችለው Amharic እንደ English ከዜሮ የጀመርክ ሰው ከሆንክ ነው።

It is about the sequence. you must use past perfect tense before simple past, as a matter of the fact simple past follows past perfect when they come together. eg. you had watched maraki english about tenses before you commented.
