    I would've layered the zucchini just like the spinach...it looks delicious!

    Please, try adding COLD (straight out of the fridge) milk into your hot roux while making bechamel - it never lumps up (and I've tried), and it's soooo easy - perfect, for everyday cooking :)

    This lasagne looks absolutely delicious! Love creamed spinach so it has to be good. I would probably also add mushrooms as well. Definitely will give this a try. Thanks Sarah!💕

    I am not a very good cook. Got a phone call while I was cooking the onions and accidentally made the bechemel sauce with the onions instead of cooking the spinach with them.
    Oh well- it tasted great- almost just like Stouffers (please don’t take offense- I love Stouffers)
    I made sticks out of the zucchini and added carrots as well then roasted in the over for final veggie layer.
    It was delish.

    So, I just made this for the family Sunday lunch. Followed the instructions, but made 50% more. extremely popular, even the eldest's girl friend had about three slices. Feel that artichokes might go well on top, or eggplant, especially the japanese kind. So delicious, many thanks for this!

    Looks so yummy! It’s hard to believe that spinach is 90% water until you cook it! Research has found that sautéed spinach retains a good nutritional value & that squeezing out the excess water isn’t detrimental. You’ll lose some amount of water soluble vitamins like Vitamin C, but the remaining density of the green still retains a healthy vitamin count because it wasn’t boiled away during cooking. It’s a win/win recipe. Thanks so much for sharing!

      Since this is a professional kitchen there are all sorts of normal noises from the equipment like vent hoods over the stoves, refrigerators, ice machines etc. I once worked in a place that had a massive steam jacketed kettle and when too much steam triggered the safety valve it sounded like a woman shrieking! It scared a lot of people that didn't know what it was. That was hilarious at the time.

    Can you layer the zucchini and the spinach in raw? I want to add it to my tomato sauce in the lasagna which i allready prepped earlier and put in the freezer. But I am a bit lazy and do not want a whole lot of cleaning pots and pans. Or should i just stick to traditional lasagna?

    • @janinenankervis3290
      @janinenankervis3290 4 года назад

      I cannot see why you can’t add the zucchini - cut smaller of course, and the chopped spinach without bothering to squeeze out its water, into your sauce then layer your lasagne as is done in traditional meat lasagne. This is not going to look like HER lasagne however. It will be looking more like standard lasagne.

    • @janinenankervis3290
      @janinenankervis3290 4 года назад +1

      However I forgot to mention you would need pasta sheets to get the layers because in hers, she is using the long flat ribbons of zucchini INSTEAD of pasta (less calories).
