    So I have to comment on this video and give you a definite shout out for how much these videos helped me. I summed my first year rebuilding the Steelers and did my draft and ended with 8 players over a 70 overall and 6/8 had a hidden dev trait. Thank you so much for the help.

    I also think your best oline man should be your right tackle in madden. Against cpu you get the most pressure off that side unlike real life. I’m at work I can’t wait to go finish my draft

    I usually don’t draft wr but maybe once every 4 years, almost never draft a hb, almost never draft a dline man unless one falls. All 3 you can find gems in undrafted free agency. I’d look cb qb first round if you need one, oline linebacker te 2-3, then I’m looking depth, best available left no matter what position, or roll players. A big hb to come in and run fb dive, a huge dt to play on goal line, a cover linebacker, a pr kr. If nothing is there I’m stockpiling for next year to move up. Speed and strength always kills. If a day 3 guy is there and he’s first in 40 or bench reps I’ll take a waiver on a guy if no one else is there.

    Olinemen I don’t usually draft a guy unless he has a in rbk pass block. You can get finesse and power through skill upgrades, but actually getting pass block and run block points are few and far between

    • @Tips4Gamers1
      @Tips4Gamers1  Год назад

      Just depends on what skill upgrade that you are choosing. Some are more geared towards run blocking and others towards pass blocking.

    I’m just figuring this out but I think when you in the regional breakdown where it says Strengths Weakness and top prospects that it means that the draft class is strong or weak at certain positions in that region not your scout

  • @bradp3898
    @bradp3898 Год назад +21

    It's interesting that you don't customize the scouts to the class. I usually choose the tier3/national scout based on the strengths, bc I understand strength to basically mean number of players. Is it just because even at 50 percent scouted you generally have enough information? Love your videos - appreciate the time and effort you put in to your work.

    Speed rushing dt are usually better imo. They’re big, usually faster, can transition easily to a de in a 3-4 scheme. If I’m playing a 3-4 scheme my de are speed rushing dt.

    In Franchise mode I want to be more realistic about player Sub-in/out and rotations. Being a jets fan specifically the Jets Cary 10 D-lineman each week and see the field on any given snap. Do you have any suggestions on realistic auto sub options? I play on the All Madden difficulty level as well.

    • @eysj
      @eysj Год назад

      I'm the same way and what do is go to formation subs and give the "backup" D lineman their own formations. This way you can keep 2-3 starters in with any backup, and never have to sub in-game. I also use "sub DLine" package when I want them all subbed for a play.

  • @creamabdul-jabbar6722
    @creamabdul-jabbar6722 11 месяцев назад +1

    Hb, dline, olb look at physicals first. All other positions take a little time go through their skills and add up all of the a-c add in the fully scouted a b or c in the equation.
    I’ve cracked the code on wr there will be one guy every draft that has 15 he’s the best out of the draft
    TE will have 2 guys one usually 13 the other 14 and that’s a hit
    Oline CB Safety 9+
    Mlb 13+ (not every draft) but at that point pick the guy with the most. 13+ have 90 percent of the time became defensive rookie of the year.
    Hb, dline, olb look top physicals then skills.
    Say olb for instance is top 3-4 in the physicals then check his archetype if he’s power and has A power move he’s the dude
    If he’s a speed rusher and has an A in finesse he’s the dude
    Hb is same look at the physicals top speed for elusive and check skills usually atleast c but want a and b for corresponding archetype.
    Power find the strongest and check the power running skills.
    Dline is kind of a mix of both theories.
    Qb just find your guy

    • @creamabdul-jabbar6722
      @creamabdul-jabbar6722 11 месяцев назад

      If you don’t want to look through the wr. There’s a trick to that. Look at the wr that snuck into 25-32 on mock draft 5. He won’t be on the other 4 mocks. That’s almost an outlier on every position. Look at 25-32 if there’s a guy that snuck into the last 7-8 picks that aren’t on the other 4 mocks then he’s going have hidden dev

    • @creamabdul-jabbar6722
      @creamabdul-jabbar6722 11 месяцев назад

      Your best value ends up being qb,hb,wr, olb, fs, ss, 1st round
      2-3 oline mlb sometimes cb dline
      3-4 te, oline, dline, cb
      Day 3 oline, dline
      If you need qb hb wr olb fs ss get them first round it falls off drastically
      Te cb always 3-4 or day 3.
      Oline dline you can find them all the way through. Just drafted a superstar center 75 overall last night 6th round
      Rg next draft 5th round 74 superstar. Had the most a-c traits at 9 and 10 day 3 guys

  • @pdraggy

    I like looking at the ACTUAL numbers... I mean your WR could be 15th in his class for speed... but he still runs a 4.4 40! II take notice what the first guy run (4.2?!) and compare it to the second guy (4.35) so... yeah the gap is HUGE the first WR is MUCH faster than the second guy (if his acceleration numbers are about equivalent)... but if the guy can run a deep route you can just point him to the endzone and 8 times out of 10 he'll outrun the CB!). If a WR runs JUST a 4.4 40 and has HIGH cone/ shuttle numbers and agility/ COD you know you got a bieast inside the numbers! Same as guys in the trenches (Oline/ Dline) if you don't bench at least 35x don't even talk to me. Also NEVER get a lineman that's undisciplined. DB/ LB can also be a problem when undisciplined. From my exp when your lineman is undisciplined that leads to 1-3 penalties a game. a offsides penalty not only puts you back 10yds, it also takes away your gains from that play and that can be killer!).
    I also DON'T even look at F Injury OR stamina. Might be my paranoia - I have no solid evidence, but the best ability is availability- if your skills aren't available due to low stamina or you get injured you're no good to me.
    That eliminates 60-70% of guys so :).

    There’s a scrambling QB in my next draft class and he’s elite and has an A in almost every category. But he has “throw away” and “could use improvement at recognizing pressure”. Is he still worth drafting over a Top 5 Strong Arm QB?

    Question! I’m scouting CB’s and I 100% scouted a guy that doesn’t have the greatest physicals (speed, agility decent-solid) and only the acceleration is great-elite). Man is a C, Zone is a D, but his awareness, play rec and kick return are an A. He’s a 6’3”, 22 year old staff recommended focus player and his talent is top 5 even though his projection is round 1-2. What do you think?

    Should be 1/3 as long, and much more concisely communicated.
    Instead, it’s unnecessarily long, relentlessly rambling, highly self-indulgent brain dump.
    Clickbait title, probably more helpful to franchise newbies than to veterans.
    2 cents: if you continue making vids, cleaning up your communication style might deliver more value in less time (=more respectful of viewers’ time) and get more widely shared. GL.

      We appreciate the feedback. However, your feedback could have been 1/3 as long, less spaces after each sentence, and words that make better sense while still trying to make yourself look smart.
      Unfortunately, we cannot please everyone and we needed to provide multiple examples for people to understand what to look for. This video is for more than just beginners because we break down exactly how to understand every aspect of the draft and how to perfect it.
      Lastly, the title was not clickbait by any means and we hope you have a good day. Make sure to check out our other videos if you want to perfect your craft in Madden. Just make sure that you understand that it takes time to get to a professional level. Nothing done quickly is worth doing at all.
