Hi Cristin, just found this tutorial and it’s a huge help for learning how to quilt the borders. The only question I have is how did you manage to keep everything straight when you changed your design file over to finish the last smaller section? Thanks in advance -Jen
Hi Jen, I'm not sure that I'm understanding your question, but just reply again if I was off. If I understand correctly, you're asking how to keep the borders straight to add each section? You line them up from the batting and then tape in place, so there really isn't a problem with that. You mentioned changing design file, but you would click on the design file and then line up batting to batting and tape in place, so it really wouldn't matter which design file or size that you are using. I'm probably not understanding your question right, so let me know. I made this project a year ago, but if you look at 7:38 in the video, it starts the quilting process and at 9:30 it shows specifically how to join them and line them up straight between each hooping. You just continue that process until they are all quilted and let any excess run off the edge. At 10:26 you can see what the back looks like and attaching to the completed blocks for the pillow top. I hope this helps!
@@CristinCreates thanks so much for writing back so quickly. I get it now! I kept thinking I had to figure out how to line up the pieces with where the new size falls on the smaller hoop, but since you cut it out completely before starting the next size, that is simply not applicable. So clever! Thanks again!!!
