This is an excellent example of listening while disagreeing, with understanding and ahavas yisroel. Regardless of whether people think that Professor Nadler's words went against what they perceive to be the point of the book, and whether some expressions should have been more respectful, it seems clear that he wrote truthfully about his impressions as a teenager, and the fact that he didn't feel that chabad chassidus was or is for him doesn't make him hateful. People are allowed to disagree. He speaks about 'expectations' not being met. It seems to me that much of this controversy is about people's expectations of the book not being met, moreso than about what impression he had or the fact that he wrote about it.
The Rebbe's greatness isn't diminished by the fact that not every single person he met felt the way 99% of people did.

I haven't read the article, but from what I have been gleaning from the various interviews, it seems that this whole 'controversy' is nothing more then a tempest in a teapot. Professor Nadler did not 'denigrate' Chabad or the Rebbe, but rather wrote that he did not connect with them and had some disagreements with political views of the Rebbe. That in no way warrants these attacks and calls for book burning and I would venture to go as far as to say that I don't see why it should not have been included in the book... If the Rebbe himself would have read it, I have no doubt he would not disapprove. He was too smart and open-minded for that...

Rav Dalfin, You did such a good job with Nadler, why don't you now have on Brackman & Zirkind? They at least have a good understanding of Chabad and you might be effective in bringing them back. The Rebbe never gave up on a single Yid. What do you think?

Rabbi Dalfin your upset at the author of the book for giving professor nadler a forum and then you interview him giving him a forum. How are you different then the author?

If you had listened to the previous interviews you would have picked up that Rabbi Dalfin has had a change of heart since his initial reaction and openly apologized for it...

Rabbi dalfin where is your gaon yakov and gaon chabad. A man writes against the rebbe and people react by saying it should be burned and you spent the first nine minutes about it. But then when he is asked to back down he wont. This man is an abomination and chabad owes him nothing. He needs to run to the ohel and beg forgiveness. And u giving him attention is on u. Rabbi dalfin better is expected from you. Obviously him being burned was wrong to say. But the book should be put in shaimos if already bought. U wont be mekarev this guy cus hes just using u to advance his rebbe hatred.

I hear you but this isn't the Rebbe's derech...I said clearly he was wrong for speaking this way but simultaneously, I'm wrong for calling him or any yid a hater. The Rebbe never called a Yiddish a hater.
