- Sometimes, you need to reinvent the wheel, and it’s not always a bad thing. For me, it meant reconsidering the design of my two-wheeled robot, and improving it. With many hours of CAD, 3D-printing, and a few trips to the hardware store, I created a hub-less wheel assembly that is driven by a motor and gear drive. The wheel has a 12 inch bicycle tire to traverse deferent types of surfaces and remain mobile. The robot will have two of these drive assemblies which will require a lot more printing!
