    Have you tried 3-D printing? What would you print? I’m thinking about printing a life-size storm trooper helmet next…

    Hey man, appreciate the work. Your lens cap files are not downloadable anymore. Whenever I hit the green "buy now" button an error occurs and tells me the trial has been expired.

    With regards to the caps - why not print black caps with the number recessed & then just print white numbers separately and stick them in?

    • @chadwin
      @chadwin  2 года назад +2

      that would definitely work as well! I just like having everything bound together as one piece and not using any glue. it would certainly save me a lot of headaches when printing these haha

    The "filter remover" is called a filter wrench, and it's available at any pro photography store. I remember having one in the 1990s. They're under $10. So, it might not be worth the time and effort of printing.

    I've been wondering about printing a tilt-shift adaper for (fully manual of course) lens.
    I'm thinking about a medium-format lens (for the wider sensor coverage which is needed when you tilt &shift) of a sony a7r4 for example.
    A non-medium lens can be used too, but the info of the projected spot size (outside of the sensor) is very limited (usually only for crop lenses that can be used on ff cameras)

    You should use ironing on the very top layer to smooth it out.

    • @chadwin
      @chadwin  Год назад +1

      Yes!! That would look better! I don’t think I had ironing on yet cause I was still pretty new to 3D printing when I made this. I’ve made full Mandalorian armor now and have learned so much 😆

    If you were to buy a 3d printer today for the purpose of printing camera gear/accessories, which one would you choose and why? And do delta printers have any advantage over the standard 3d printers? Is one better than the other in terms of accuracy?

    • @AsiAzzy
      @AsiAzzy 11 месяцев назад

      Delta printers used to be quite a lot faster (not anymore.. coreXY and klipper enters the chat). In terms of accuracy.. this is more a question of build quality and if a mesh leveler exists or not, how fine microstepping works on steppers, etc. You want to buy a tool or a hobby? For the tool you might want a prusa, for the hobby ender 3. In the last years more and more printers come with a lot of bells and whistles that chip in the market for prusa so those might be a good budget option. (klipper, mesh leveling, fast steppers, direct drive, lidar, wifi, microstepping, etc)
