I just bought the same one yesterday with the same holster. I can't wait to get it home, but Washington state is a 10 day minimum wait after buying it. I carry a g29 so I don't think the size will be a problem with me. Good video thanks for making it.

how has the black finish held up since you got it?

Noooice.Garrett industries STX with snaps & straps is a OWB holster that works great with most any untucked shirt. I don’t have a rhino yet but your gun is slick. Think I found a price on one of the SS ,30dsx. Limited run of 500 supposedly. A test run for a larger caliber is what iv heard through the grapevine. Got a hankering for a certain 50DS here recently. I’ve been carrying steal guns for a long time. Got a 365xl for the summer. Wear heavy nylon board shorts a lot & in & around fresh & salt water all year round. Got a little $23 outbags holster with a ultclip.got to say,got a little spoiled with the ease of cary & maintenance. Holster was sanded back to much around trigger gaurd ,so the retention wasn’t making me feel to safe with 1st striker fired pistol in forever,& retention screw was way out of place but they are going to make me another one. I wasn’t expecting much for that $ but wasn’t close to the picture on line. Next on will be good I’m thinking. If it sucks again I think I’m going to go vedder or HH. Getting used to the more square lines of that gun. Any how. Takem easy & check out the stx. Not the 2.0 It may be great but the one I know is fast on & off & right. With a k frame & smooth g10 grips anyway. Dk how sticky or hard those grips are. Only ever held 1 50DS. Had black finish slimiest barrel with min rail space?wooden grips.haven’t shot nor gone through the pain and headache of setting a rhino up yet. Holsters…ugh!L8r

Thanks for the recommendation! I haven’t carried this guy in a while but i took it to the range last week. The wooden grips give it amazing handle and I would highly recommend it.

@@chicagobears45 your welcome on the holster recommendation. .if you ever do want to give otw a shot & see how you like it & enjoy some real owb comfort ,the Garrett’s are a family business & they are good with communicating & will take some notes & make it just like you want it .Someone told me about them & I looked at every image & video with a Garrett industries holster of any kind .notice some subtle changes in Ron’s work trough the years. He’s been going it a long time. Forgot the specific name of it but he uses some sort of premium kydex.lined with Herman oak.all top shelf materials .you would like it .Rides tight .I went with straight drop, had them round the muzzle end under some .the outer shell of the holster has more of an organic shape than the typical kydex holster. The leather inside takes on more of the details & shape of the gun in time for good retention & it’s quite + easy on the finish. Take a look at a guy named TAC -S&W TR8 & joe perera -bronze finished 30DS (or some Italian sounding last name).search holster makers company name & you will see them. Feel like I’m selling for them. $145 is what I paid & its not the last one I’m going to buy. Good guns need good holsters. I think nice revolvers & good quality leather .The Rhino is a unique ,non traditional revolver ,that’s the holster for that gun IMHO. That’s the way I’m going to go when I get mine. Still like the idea of that SS model but an Italian light weight 3” is the right one to start with. Also, check the accessories out while you are ordering if you order one. The 1/2 FBI cant attachments aren’t much. They make them straight drop,7.5 degrees or 15 degrees is what they have listed. If you want something in between…ask. Not a problem with them. I need to upload a review on the good stuff I’ve found after waaay too much research. Would be easier than singing products praises 1 extra long comment at a time. I can’t afford or stand the idea of having a box of dud holsters. So far so good. Rhino30ds & stx&TAC -stx go from there. Mind if I ask where you got yours and how much.?.take care

Do you carry this as an EDC and feel you can trust your life on this with 38 Special?
i shot a lot of 38 special as my shooting club happened to have an old Smith & Wesson model 14 nobody ever used… So I asked them if I could clean it up and care for it and now is like my favorite gun to compete with in National Shooting Military Field competitions… Military Field is a Scandinavian form of National Shooting sports competition that reminds me a lot of golf 😂… I am really Not a golfer, I hate golf people…But the cool thing with the Military Field competition created by Scandinavians are that you compete as a team and you walk through a huge forrest area to different stations just like holes in golf where you walk from one to the next hole… and at each station there are different goal pictures they call it…. Meaning sometimes is a combination of moving goals and fixed goals… sometimes is a combination of really close up goal pictures and those further away, and sometimes they are really far out like 50-100 yards out… can be goal pictures of camouflaged soldiers at 100 yards or military bunker windows at 30 yards or different triangles, squares and patterns at 2-15 yards… and you get ready, set and shoot within a given amount of seconds at the same time as your team does and get various points for the different goal pictures… and then everyone finished you go down range together with the station judges and count your scores and mark them off in your team book just like in golf and then you carry on through the Forrest talking with your team buddies…
so, I am trying to find a revolver for this kind of sport that could also work as a self defense gun…
How much do you rely on the 30 inch and 38 special?
    I just love revolvers!
    😎 Carry On!

After changing out the grips I was more comfortable defending my life with it. But because of the holster options I do not carry this revolver on a daily basis. I still use a 43X as of right now. The gun is amazing and very accurate but because I carry appendix it doesn’t work for me

@@chicagobears45 have you ever tried one of these? ruclips.net/video/QxG3aW2cS88/видео.html
What grips did you change to? You got a link for the grips you feel works best for self defense with the Chiappa Rhino? Would you say the 40 ds and the 30 ds are equally easy to conceal and carry well without any ergonomic issues over a full day work?
I talked with a girl that seldom wear tactical pants so to speak and swear by the holster set up I linked to above… Perhaps they can also make a kydex holster for the chiappa rhino that work with this appendix carry system they got! …. Just a thought! 😎 carry on!
