I think that you're wrong with the capability of these saws. I have an MSA 140c and I work at a state park. I have been using this beast for forestry. Cutting down 200 cedars up to 18" diameter. All I have to carry is a couple of extra batteries and some bar oil. I have to walk a mile into my cut area. That being said, I have been through one chain sprocket and chain, but this thing is much lighter and quieter than a gas saw. I don't have to carry gas, and I don't need ear pro.
Thank you for this review. I am a small size female and this chain saw has been perfect for me. I don't have the strength to pull and pull on a gasoline larger saw.
It is pretty impressive for a battery powered saw. The larger battery saw setup would cost upwards of $700. I can’t justify it or I would try it out too!
Do you really think that people believe the intended use of this saw is 15 cords at a time? We know man, just looking at an electric saw for lightweight limbing from a platform, we don’t need repeated reminders that this isn’t for mature redwood logging. It seems that this is an excellent saw.
I have one of these little saws in my kit and just fantastic for those little clearing jobs and yes use an AK30..I use the stihl cordless hedge cutting kit too and it's brilliant .
Thanks for the video and keep up the great work. Usually a new chain is much better at cutting through the wood than that chain. Do you sharpen and adjust the rakers on your own chain?
I don't think Stihl makes any professional commercial grade cordless chainsaws. The closest one may be the 161t with the 3000L backpack battery. All the cordless saws are for the home owner cutting small amounts of firewood.
You are not much of a friend to be pushing down on it so hard. The manual says to just rest the saw on the log and let it do the job. I worked with mine for 3/4 of a hour without pushing and it did not even lose one light on the battery. Well I will give you credit for admitting you did push too hard!
Stihl msa 140 c, bought in November 2020 ( in Greece) with 24 months guarantee working smoothly, until... On the 25th month (December 2022) one of the two batteries AK30 stop charging... End of February 2023 the motor was burned and stuck, common problem the service people said...Two years life, Piece of junk...
the only different between the 120 and the 140 is the battery (and the decal) - the 140 has the AK30 battery. I already had the AK30 for my blower, so bought the MSA120.
totally wrong on 120. its crap, battery is crap. the 140 runs better battery longer run time for 30 bucks more. you obviously dont know battery saws much less carve with them.
Thanks for the video! I just bought one of these for my wife s Christmas present. She’s a yard working machine.
Just picked up a 140, what a great little saw. Very impressed with it, can’t keep it away from my wife either

Yes! I can imagine how perfect it is! Do you use it a lot?
That was surprisingly powerful for a battery powered one. If I had one I wouldn't pull out the reciprocating saw so often for brush lol

I have owned 3 Stihl saws over the years, here to tell you this MSA 120 is a mighty cutting saw with the AK20 or AK30 battery.

i last about as long as the Battery does so it works out for me , maybe i should get new batteries for my self

Thanks for the video, just subscribed
Сколько ампер часов у них аккумулятор?
И сколько вольт?
Eh the bga86. Is fantastic for maintenance clear up. After striming
How much is 12", cordless, Stihl chainsaw?
Make a rewiev of the high end battery model

So what I got from this video is there isn't much to like about this thing, just buy it if you don't have a choice 😅😂
Here in the Philippines its about 415 usd 😠

“This is awesome to carry around in the back of your car and …. cut off some limbs….” 😳
Yuppie saw!!!

With this inflation $300.00 will sound like a bargain. It will be worth it when the $300 is worthless.
😷🍻🍺
Ok. What about 140?

@@cvee2614 not true. The 140 is a bit more saw than the 120 just like the 160 is a bit more saw than the 140.
the 140 has higher chain speed and about 25% more cutting power than the 120

Thanks for advice bud .
More time but not power for more money. If you dont need gas power 120 is really good
I just got one, it works really well! The battery lasted a long time, in fact I used it for 3/4 hours and it never lost even one light!
Definitely not worth 300$
