I actually picked this laptop up for cheap. The thermals on my CPU dont get over 85 degress at the highest and my GPU sits between 65 and 80 degrees. The 4060 has 8GB of vram and plays everything I throw at it. I use a very simple stand for the laptop and it puts it on an angle off the table. This helps thermals immensely and cost me $10. The I5 12500h is actually nicely paired with the 4060 and any more power from the GPU would end up as a bottleneck on the cpu side. Price to performance this laptop is a beast and can't be beat.
One more thing to mention is I did upgrade the ram to 32GB 3200MHZ cl22 ram and it worked as soon as it was installed at the correct speed without having to change XMP profiles. I also keep a very cool house and the laptop is close to the airconditioning unit.
without stand how hot can your laptop get (sorry if said it wrong)? my g5 mf is seeing 80-90 degrees
@@w.d.gaster3972 when I play dune game preview and not have my laptop on a stand can top out at 97 degrees. Apex legend I won't see over 90 max settings. Warzone I have seen peaks of 95 and deathloop was the same. Prey max settings I don't see over 85. The stand helps keep the flow moving for sure and keeps the laptop running well, it is pretty loud though. The G5 has that windforce cooling and it sucks a lot of air from underneath it.
I'm not a RUclipsr or a good reviewer like Hubwood and his review is valid but I decided I needed to show it instead of just saying it. I grabbed a short video after about an hour of playing Witcher 3, ultra settings RT quality, DLSS Balanced and frame generation. You can hear how loud the laptop can get it is a jet freaking engine haha and I show my simple MSI overlay. 74 avg FPS, 85 Avg degrees cpu and 79 avg degrees GPU. Sorry for the poor quality but I hope anyone who sees this laptop cheap doesn't overlook it.
Edit: I wouldn't work the laptop this hard at all times but I did just for the small video. I usually lower some settings to be nicer to the GPU as you can see it hits 99% in the video.

@@fallingReign1 Hey, im running atm elden ring with my laptop at 98 degrees, ¿can u send the link to buy the stand please?. THX
For some reason highest performance mode performed worse than the mode below it for us lol. The 4060 ran at like 40W or something. We waited a couple of weeks for a fix and Gigabyte gave us a BIOS update that resolved it, but it doesn't seem like it's available on the public site yet, so not sure how wide of a problem this is with the 4060 G5
Hm 🤔 was it the KF Version aswell? At least THAT problem didn't occur to me 😁
But I had similar issues with the RTX 3050 version in 2021 when just BIOS FB08 and newer would solve the performance issues... But then again they sell different versions in different countries I guess.
@@Hubwood Yeah KF, weird stuff.

The new bios is the FB09? Released jun 30.
I can buy for 829€ It is worth It? Regards
Have Mux switch?
I fixed my overheating issues with a new thermal paste. I used arctic mx-4 and now the cpu runs about 70 degrees and the fan rpm went from the max which is 5300 rpm to 4000 rpm. Huge difference. The original paste was bad, it was quite dry. my 4060 g5 gigabyte is solid and the screen is really nice, not a retina, but neither washed out. It shows a decent image.
Thx for sharing!
do you recommend this laptop ? i can get it for like 829 $ from where i live.
i am also looking into another laptop Asus tuf f15 i don't know what to buy ?
considering overheating problems what is the best choice for me ?
@@AymanLezhar Till now the laptops performed very well, if you are ok with the high fan speed noise. There are other aspects to keep in mind, like the speakers, battery life, inability to charge via USB-C. For the price, the performance is really nice. But that's pretty much it. If you have the funds to buy something better, I would recommend to get something better. The Tuf 15 might tick the better quality boxes. If you don't mind speakers and battery life, then 829$ is extremely good value.
@@themightyprophetHi, would you still recommend this laptop after those month, if I also can get it for 720€
Can you get more than 30fps in games on battery I cant
For this Clevo based design, someone I know has a 12700H 3060 unit, and we found out lifting the back was needed to make it run cool. Before it would run 87 degrees even with only 30w on CPU, but lifting it drops 20 degrees even with lowered fan speeds. It's all a bit weird I guess.
I was running it that way. Still 99c on the cpu in games. But again might be a faulty chip.
@@Hubwood It doesn't seem like faulty either, if it was doing 50w with load from the 4060 too. Since the 12700H would run ~70 degrees with only 30w, with the 3060 doing ~70w too, it doesn't seem to be good at cooling anyway.
Needs a Throttlestop power limit tweak (and perhaps undervolting the 4060) for this G5 to make sense then.
@@RS-nq8xk I was refering to my discovery, that only 1 of the 4 P cores was hitting the 99°C. The rest was around 70-80 Degrees. So quite cooler.
set it to power saving mode, will still run games well but it stops the turbo boost which means you can keep your CPU in the 75 degree range instead of 85-90
changing thermal paste and undervolting is the only solution on every laptop that i tried,
Problem with g5 is really bad stock thermal paste, mine is i5 10500h and rtx 3060. It always run at 85-99 degree while palying or heavy rendering
Changing thermal paste help reduce it to 65-75 under heavy load. Recommend changing stock paste every 3-6 months to help heat and performance 😊
May I know which thermal paste did you use?
@@vladychiez mine is arctic silver 5
@@vladychiez use honeywell ptm 7950, best thermal paste ive ever used
Go silver 4 or noctua if you would rather only do it at most once a year. Silver 5 is great, but just doesnt last and the 3-4c you get is hardly worth the pain of repasting 3x as often.
I have the same laptop, switching to power saving mode disables the Turbo Boost, and keeps temps from hitting 80+, while still maintaining good gaming performance.
Hello Hubwood, I need an opinion.
Strix g16 or Zephyrus g16 4060? Do you think ddr4 in the Zephyrus is a deal breaker? how about 2.5kg weight from the Strix, do you think it would be too heavy?
Is it worth buying this exact Model for 750€ new ?
Can you compare all the 4000 series laptop you have tested and show game performances in one graph ? It would be so good.
Great Review, TYVM for answering majority of my questions i had.
I've noticed heat problems on gaming laptops before, running 80-100 degrees. after the warranty wore off i replaced the thermal paste and it reduced the temps dramatically!!
Can you tell me if i bought this and immediately replaced the thermal paste, would it void the warranty?
TIA
That could void it in most countries. Yes. You should ask gigabyte about it.
Thanks for the feedback by the way!
Wow thanks for the review been eyeing this for days, but when i saw your review this is probably my third choice thanks🙏
How do you tell the wattage version of gpu you're getting? I'm wanting to buy a 40 series but want a full power one if possible
Go to Nvidia's Control panel, then "Help" (to the top) and finally "System Information"
Thanks for the review, I was about to buy this model until I watched your video. I will definitely go for another options. Honest review and keep up the good work.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad it helped!
just got this machine but the rtx 4050 version and I'm loving it, much better than my previous acer nitro 5 with gtx 1660-ti with i5-9300h, the only downside of this laptop is indeed the speakers, but that isn't that much of a issue since I'm always with headsets
Yeah it's of course a lot faster than an old 1660ti + 4core combo ;)
But compared with recent laptops it's a really cheapish budget option. But you can of course enjoy and love it none the less!
Most people can’t afford to splash out 2500 on a new laptop like you can 😂
I just got this machine, yes it has some flaws but they can be easily solved, just plugged-in some decent mini speakers and put the laptop on angled cooling stand. Also for high performance games I can recommend to use in-ear headphones, for all rest I just use silent mode and am still getting 2x the frames of my old rtx2060 laptop.
any tips on how to optimise it ?
Same, I have had this laptop for 2 months and got it at the same price they have 3050 laptops. At least where I live in Canada other 4060 laptops are $500-900 more for maybe 11% -14% better performance. My MSI afterburner even suggests my GPU actually hits 79 watts during boost and clocks down to 65 at its lowest. The 4050 is capped at 90 watts according to most reviews, from what I have seen, I'm pretty sure the 4060 Caps out at 100 watts as 40 series cards are meant to be low power high performance anyway. My logic was buy a 3050 for my money or get a 4060 for the same price. Sure it's 75 watts but it has 8GB Vram and handles 1080p like a boss.

The same specs but in a 17in frame (Gigabyte G7) should have better cooling right?
nice review😎
The thing is, in my country, it's the only 1000$ Laptop that consists of RTX 4060 as similar spec laptops would incur more exorbitant cost
Where I live this laptop is priced the same as 3050 laptops.

Its kinda weird how this laptop in my country have RTX 4060 but price below on rtx 3050 territory on other laptop😐
What is the TGP of 4060 in this laptop? NMV found it. It's 75W
I just picked this laptop up on sale for $899 to replace a Dell G5 with a RTX 3050 ti that has a faulty battery and suffers from CMOS issues (which could be fixed) mostly because I need something with decent gaming with a PSU at 150w or under. We will be doing a road trip from Connecticut to Florida and the AC outlet in our car maxes out at 150w. This Dell has a 180w AC adapter and can not be plugged in and charged while on the road. Hopefully it works out or I will be returning it to Best Buy :D
in my country laptops are VERY expensive, i bought this on sale for 1000 euros (usually 1200€). but it had 16gb ram dual channel, 4060 and 1tb ssd (and its 17.3 inch) and i am VERY happy with it. it is amazing, runs all games i play at very high/ultra settings without a single issue. it can be loud but i dont mind that part as that and sound is my only issue(sound could be much louder & better, but besides that its perfect for me) also to add, im seriously impressed with internet speed - im not expert but on my old lenovo legion with 1650 thats about 5 years old, i was having around 60 ping in online games, and now in same games i have about 20% less ping on same wifi just by using this laptop.
And that's totally fine. enjoy 😅
There is this exact one on sale in my area 750$ and has 17 and ddr5 ram should i get it for a portable gaming laptop

I really want to point out, that you don't have to feel bad if you got this Laptop as a present, or if it's the only affordable Laptop in your country or for you.
You have every right to love it and value it for what it is! In this Review I'm just stating MY personal view in comparison with other laptops I've tested over the years.
The G5 I've tested 2 years ago wasn't any better, but it was around 300$ cheaper. And that makes a big difference.
@Hubwood hey (excuse my bad english) im planning on buying this model with 16gb ram and 512ssd and the same CPU and GPU , I'm fine the screen colors and the fan noises but the 90 degrees worries me , would the cooling pad help with it or lowering the voltage , it so or any other solution pls tell me asap
@@zahrhammemi3267 well undervolting the GPU does help a bit. And lowering the cpus boost clock might help aswell.
But I don't expect miracles.
The temperature itself is not a big problem. The cpu is designed to handle 90C°. It will throttle and down lock itself automatically to protect itself. If you're okay with the quality of the laptop and the noise you're good to go!
Hey! Eventually I returned the laptop :D:D:D, because i found a same priced deal of tuf a15 4060 140w 7735s, im still waiting for it but i think it will preform 20-30% better, with better battery panel etc. I think the G5 is pretty solid, and the panel was ok for me, i only managed to battle the thermals with setting PL1,2 to 40-50W, while retaining most performance. Overall i think there are worse chassis, panels for the same price, so if you can find it below 1100 its a good deal
And also your benchmark videos helped me a lot! and the reviews are well detailed with all the statistics and benchmarks! Its nice that your comparing a lot of products it really helps us costumers to choose wisely
@@GreenHAWG6 Thanks for the Feedback! :)
Love your review, very thorough. It covers the major drawbacks of this laptop, making me really have to reconsider buying one. 8 gb of VRAM on the RTX 4060 is definitely the main selling point, however, the overheating is detrimental in the long run. Do you have any recommendations for a substitution? I intend to use my laptop for AI and editing, so the additional VRAM is quite important. Looking forward to your replies. Thank you so much.
If you want more than 8gb of vram, consider the previous year 3080 with 16gb.
Or you have to jump up to a 4070, which frankly is quite overpriced. A lot of options are available in the MSI lineup. But I recommend the Asus g16, legion pro 5.
Mỹ suggestions is wait a bit if you can
@@NamTran-xc2ip Thank you for your reply. I cannot go for the last year's 3080 laptops or this year's 4070 ones since my budget is quite limited. I think I will take your advice and wait a little bit longer, just for the prices to go down. Again, thank you for your suggestions 😍
@@quyennguyenuc4096 They prices won't go down. Did they?
@@wblazkowicz yes, the prices didn’t go down, so I saved for another month, and I bought the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 with the i7 13700HX cpu and RTX 4060. I’m quite satisfied with my decision. However, if you have a limited budget, I would highly recommend checking out the Lenovo geekpro G5000 (Lenovo LOQ 15 is the same model). It comes with a better display and thermals.
@@quyennguyenuc4096 Thanks for the recommendation. I'm also considering Gigabyte Aorus 7 i5-12500H RTX 4060 for 1149 buсks on Amаzon. It has a better screen and flagman-level quality build.
Is its keyboard much worse than Lenovo's non-thinkpad series? (such as thinkbook 16p, or r7000).
Does the laptop have PD charging via USB-C port?
What alternative would you suggest with similar specs and price?
Good explaining on the GIGABYTE G5 KF, however anyone has a review for this COLORFUL EVOL X15 AT 23 GAMING LAPTOP? looking for a new laptop on next month.
is it worth 800 USD or buy (lenove loq i5 12450h with 4060 15|RH8) for 1150 USD?
Would this machine be suitable for packaging Unreal Engine games for android (Quest2). I am mainly designing my games in a huge PC, but sometimes I travel abroad, and I need to do small changes in Unreal Engine and pack APK again.
Would this machine handle this well??
Thanks!
I'd love to help you out here, but that is just beyond my knowledge and experience... I think it's doable and probably only a matter of performance though, which might be slower than what you're used to on your desktop pc. Assume that would be faster..
What can one do to minimize the hot temp of CPU? is thermal paste good or add fan?
People reported, that changing the thermal paste to MX4 really helped alot!
For this laptop would it better to get the i5 or the i7 version on the vendors im currently looking at they are the same price, and would matter in terms of performance?
Defenitely the i7 then!
Hey hubs can we get a review on predator neo 16 rtx 4050 with i5 variant
i've found one for 800 euros, its the cheapest 40 series i could find, others are closer to 1k, would be a bad buy?
For $900 CAD there is not a whole lot of issues i could find even after watching this video. Replace thermal paste, don't game with it on your lap or a soft surface and maybe undervolt the cpu and you have literally everything a double priced laptop has right now from most other vendors. Upgrading the RAM to dual channel is also probably a good idea.
The camera and microphone are surprisingly good
I'm thinking about picking this up to replace my 7700h/1060 machine. The old laptop is good enough for most of what I play, but I'd rather have something much faster, with dlss that can lock something like D4 to 60fps and be mostly whisper quiet.
one core having a 20c delta between cores undoubtedly means the cooler needs to be remounted. For users wanting a fully ready experience, maybe this laptop would disappoint but again, for $900 CAD is wild to me. I wish the 12500h was more than just a quad core, but the price is reasonable enough to justify it and the 12500h scores similar to an 11600k in single core and beats it outright in multi core.
Where did you get this for $900 CAD? im from the US and if i can get this for $600 usd (conv from $900 cad) thats a huge saving!

Great review! Do you have a test with Gigabyte Aorus 2023 with RTX 4060 in your plans for comparison? Probably it's a better model from Gigabyte, with better cooling system.
Not planned no, but its defenitely the better laptop, yes ;)
I got the AORUS 15, and the performance is insane, while not looking as “gamer-y” as most brands. However, I got the 4070 version (AORUS 15 BSF), so a bit faster than the 4060. Overall quality is very good, screen is great at 100% dci-p3 with 165hz and QHD (2560x1440). I’ve been blown away by gaming performance, but unfortunately mine had an issue where it wouldn’t wake from sleep. Therefore, I’m replacing it with the AORUS 15x, the “flagship” model, which feels like even slightly better quality, features G-sync as well as an i9-13900HX. The only thing I really don’t like about this line so far is the speakers, they’re not great.
@@stefdezy1562 Hope they didn't use the same speakers as in the Gigabyte G5. Cause "not great" would be an understatement :D
But unfortunately in most gaming laptops under 2.000€ speakers are "meh..."

It is safe to use liquid metal on that kind of heat pipes?
@@danavidal8774 If it conducts, it can cause a short circuit if it gets to a critical point.

i personaly own this laptop and bought it on amazon for 750 usd. i could see how this laptop could be discouraging because of the base price but if you catch it on a deal its a steal. i play world of tanks, squad, halo mcc, and a couple other titles. and they all run fine at max graphics. i did upgrade the ram to 16 gb but planning to double it again soon. though the lack of features is kinda stupid though. i wish it had more fan speed variability. but going from a 1660 ti to a 4060 is amazing. if youdiscourage
Hi @Hubwood
Is it worth it to buy this laptop with i5-12500H, 8GB, 512GB, RTX 4050 for 580 euros ? plus additional 20 euros for 8gb ram
The price performance will be pretty good for 600 euros. Yes.
Probably almost unbeatable.
It's just that you need to be aware of the laptops flaws....
@@HubwoodWhat about 699,99€?
Still worth it?
@@CAYFHateBlog Same answer. as before 😅
I've bought it, but returned back next day. The main problem of this laptop is tiny heatsinks. It cannot dissipate 150W. Fans and heatpipes are ok.
Laptop stand to increase airflow (or preferably laptop cooler to increase even more)
Near all laptops are thermally constraint
change thermal paste and undervolt can be fixed in 15 mins
how?@@smokegames1179
@@smokegames1179u cant undervolt 12-13 laptop cpus.
@@BADMIXofficiali do on mine about 5 fps lost for -15c on the cpu but yes be a technician help a lot 😂
Please in your next videos une new games from 2023, for the benchmarks not older ones, great video ^^
But hogwarts legacy and the last of us are from 2023 🤔?
And many people want to see cs go all the time 🤷♂️
can get this or g14 2021 r7 3060 for the same price , which one should i buy ?
The G14 is the better laptop overall, but the Gigabyte will most likely still be a little faster and offer 2GB more VRAM.
Tough Decision ;)
Do you think GigaByte Aorus 15 4060 would be better?
Absolutely
I bought this computer and I am facing a problem with the power being cut off while playing. Is it due to the heat? The temperature reaches more than 95 degrees at the beginning of the game. What should I do? Should I upgrade the thermal paste?
Im having the same issue and i've seen in some forums that upgrading the bios to version FB09 fixes it. Ive installed it and so far it gave me much better performance on games. Im still testing to see if it fixed the charging issue as i havent played much yet
@@026cata Is there anything new? I play for half an hour or a little more, and the power is cut off from the laptop
@@tarekzghab5261 yea upgrade to the version FB09 and its fixed. Ive been playing without any issue, power never cuts and i got overall better performance.
what is the Clevo name of this laptop?
I'm having issues with my 2nd nvme slot. I have installed 1tb 970 Evo plus and it was getting disconnected several times. Tried so may things even upgrading driver, bios etc. nothing helped. I found on the internet that many 970 Evo plus have this particular issue.
I have tried to swap the slot and with the first slot, 970 Evo plus remained ok and the main SSD disappeared and sometime shows in both bios and windows explorer. So now I'm confirm that it's the issue with the second slot. As I tried with the single SSD on the second slot and the problem persist. Can anyone help? Doesn't seems like gigabyte will help as it's just a CLEVO rebranded as gigabyte.
Well gigabyte MUST help as this should still be within warranty.
This or Katana 15 bro?
Picked this bad boy up for $750. The model I picked up from bestbuy also had an i7-12650H the same NVME drive, 16gb dual channel, and the same 4060. I only play shooters really. Bad boy was able to run EFT at 1440p. I am really happy with the price but I agree with the criticism in this video. I would not have picked it up for anything less than 800. Largest downfall is the battery life, I have this thing plugged in pretty much everywhere tho.
Hi, I have same specs as you - do you know how to reduce fan noise in entertainment mode ? In silent mode with headset its top notch, but in some games I get lags - turning entertainment mode eliminates the lags but the fan noise is like jet engine, killing experience even with headset on.
I just ordered a g5 kf with i7 12650h, 16 ram, rtx 4060, and i have this doubt..., i saw some reviews telling that you cant plug an external monitor via HDMI and have above 60 fps in games,
This laptop uses the integrated graphics when you plug an external monitor?, if so how can i use the dedicated one to have the best perfomance while having an external monitor plugged to it?
No it should use the dedicated Gpu and you should be fine...
Hope so bro, i will test it when it arrives, because i was worried about that.
Thx for your time.
@@sasms3642Did you try connecting the extral monitor???
@@shivampandey5590 yes, and it uses the gpu.
@@sasms3642 can you share your experience like how's the gaming n overall performance. I am thinking of buying this laptop
Hello pls how luch fps in
Fortnite and rdd2 and gta5 and valorent in low graphique to this pc???
Hello there.
I want to know something. The official Gigabyte site says that the G5 series support ddr5 ram. So I want to know if someone already test to replace the ddr4 ram with a ddr5 ram and see if the laptop boots because beside the official site I has not seem anyone comment on that.
Also thanks for the detailed review! always great to know all the details about a laptop you could purchase.
You can't place DDR5 in a DDR4 slot due to it having different pin layouts.
That being said, they do have a version that comes with DDR5 (I bought one) and it's pretty good. He does have some valid criticisms for this laptop but the fact that you can find it on sale for downwards of $750 (what I paid for it) on sale, it's really easy to look past some of its flaws.
I just purchased this laptop and the FSN noise sounds like a jet taking off
recomend something with 1000 - 1300$ budget pls 🙏
I'm thinking of buying this laptop, but at some point I view all the videos about the gigabyte G5, and they say that this is a sh*t. Do you have suggestions about what I should buy that has the same value as the gigabyte G5? I'm going to use it for educational purposes and for valorant.
In that case, basically any other gaming laptop. Except the msi thin. If that's your next question ;)
But for valorant and educationalbstuff any gaming laptop will do.
can I upgrade to DDR5 ram on this, planing I will remove the stock ddr4 ram
No!
Thanks a lot for the video. I ended up buying it anyway because I got a great deal for it, I will come back and edit this comment after a week or so.
hey any news?
@@danielloho1459 Oh hey, forgot about the comment. Design, keyboard and touchpad does seem bad at first but it gets no time getting used to, so it wasn't an issue. Speakers are bad. But the game performance is quite good, my specs (G5 MF-E2EE333SD) are slightly worse than the one in the video but I was pretty satisfied by the 4050. CPU didn't see above 85 degrees either. I agree with Hubwood but I also really like the laptop, I can suggest going for it if you can find a great deal. But check out the alternatives like Victus series
@@soyokrasi999and how much did you pay for it my friend?
Yo
Just ordered one for 900 USD need it for school not really hard gaming do you think its worth it?
It's a capable latop overall. And cheap aswell.
You can play games easily. Only problem is cpu high degree, but in most forums people says it's ok for laptops 🤷♂️
My girlfriend just got it, but i have no clue how to install app to controll keyboard lighting and all, once i installed it it tells me to install it but i have already did it and it doesn't work. Gigabyte G5 KF rtx 4060 i5 12th
it already has an app. IT's called the control center package
@@justin9494 Yeach we did install it, but its a shit app. Laptop overall is the worst i have ever seen, although it has good performace it has 100°C on the CPU, laptop itself is nowhere to be stable - multiple blue screens, horrible air controll, this is just pure scam.
I'm having serious issues with my GIGABYTE G5-KF laptop. I'm getting frequent blue screens with errors: UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION and CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. Any advice?
try updating your drivers my guy, probably the nvidea drivers.
Idk if I should buy Asus Tuf F15 (30 series) or this
TDP?
Can you upgrade it to DDR5? Wondering since 12500h supports it
Nope. You can't. The Mainboard does not support that.
I got this for 1000 CAD, Canadian dollars, with a core i7-12H, and its my fav laptop, get it it's probably better than any rtx 3050 or 2070 options
can you make a review for acer nitro V. thanks.
Good review, please do more.
10:13 the layouts looks like some town on Genshin Impact
Why don`t you set the benchmarks to show the temperature? That might have been the reason for the performance problems
True, I should have shown them.
The cpu was getting pretty hot as mentioned earlier in the review. The GPU was around 80+ degrees which isn't optimal aswell
What about gigabyte a5 r5600h rtx 3060 ??
Usually people keep the laptop flat on a surface and that restricts airflow. So not laptop fault. Sound will never be used from the speakers, so doesn’t count. Everyone uses headsets.
I had it for a month and it’s very good I’m able to run modern games with a smooth frame rate at max settings
It does run games just fine. It's just that it's a really bad laptop I'm every other aspect... (compared to the Co. Petition, expect the MSI Thin, which is probably on par or even worse)
i got it for 770Euros aprox and for the price is unbeatable, it's loud, that's no lie, but if you get it for less than 800bucks is a beast
I got and the power cord will over heat and disconnect, so I can only get about 2 hours at max gaming. Sometimes much less. It's a known issue that gigabyte seems to have failed to address.
Oh wow that sounds bad 😱
@@Hubwood It gets worse...So I contacted Gigabyte, they sent me a link to update the BIOS but it was the wrong BIOS update. So I updated the bios myself to FB03 and now the 4060 is drawing 10 less watts and frame rate has dropped by about15-20 fps on some games.
So even using this plugged in is not good?
