The Johns’ attitude are commendable, they are so professional and rarely shows their emotions when loosing a point or a game. Especially Ben, he’s so humble being a #1 men player. Ben was so mellow in the first game and he was on steroids on the 2nd and 3rd game 😮.
@@springfield03sniper yeah hard lol. I do like the fact that they are the best and I want to cheer for them but it’s not really a competition if they’re champs before things even begin
This final was a textbook example of coming into a match with a game plan and sticking to it despite being down. The Johns brothers have got it down to an actuarial science in their approach to pickleball strategy. To some it may be boring to watch but from their point of view, winning never gets old.
I love strategy, and have played Chess and other strategy games all my life. The way the Johns' bothers (especially Ben) play the long game, setting up shots several steps ahead, etc., is what I like most about them. Anything is boring if you don't understand it. I find the Johns bros anything but boring.
Between the fast and the slow game - all mixed in together, I see high levels of patience which - not sure where that comes from. Hours and hours on the court ?
@@andrewgedman1214 Patience is definitely important in Pickleball. I have more than most guys, probably from playing years of Chess tournaments. I guess we all learn things in different ways.
Note for the production crew. The microphone is bleading a lot of chatter from the crowds. I can hear their conversations to well. Maybe if it was possible to the main audio reciever inside the court, directly under the net it would catch less chatter and more player feedback? PS Newman = Douche
Newman is a very strong contender for the biggest taint sniffing d bag though…right behind Wright. I don’t think there’s anything I love more than watching what happened in those last two games. The John’s brothers are absolute class acts. The only way Wright and Newman belong on the court with them is to get their asses handed to them just like they did…all is right in the world.😅
Sorta thought the Johns brothers might of been in trouble after Riley and Matt took game 3, but nope, the Johns stayed with their game and pickled them in game 4 and dominated game 5.
Ben Johns and his casual walking up to the net to hit an easy ball and slapping it into the net. The crowd didn't approve either. Lazy, like my high school tennis team.
Not to mention Every single serve is weak. They just start it like a rally. In Tennis, the serve is the biggest weapon in the game. Its also a weapon in pickleball if you know how to hit it. My friends who are amateurs serve way better than all 4 of those guys.
Their rallies are so boring, so many of those dinks the johns brothers are hitting behind them, slow hits, easily attackable. The opposing team just hits them an easy ball right back. really frustrating that these are the players at the top of the game.
Always a good Sunday watching The Johns Brothers calmly deconstruct Newman & Wright.

Their composure and patience really just sets them apart from everyone else

Never get tired of them winning cause quiets the trash talk. Talent overcomes antics and luck.

Great work, guys ! 💕
The Johns brothers are lights out unbelievable.
what is the let rules for serving? at 57:05 there was a let recall but I thought there was no let rules in pickleball

agreed, no class.
wowwwwwww, 22-1 run!!! incredible!!!!!!!!!!!
Would be awesome if you didn’t post the outcome before I could watch it…
Riley is not a good sport. A bit of a jerk.

Check out these guys at one of their getaways ! Great players and excellent coaches too…
At 3:40 does one of the John’s step into the kitchen?
the ball bounced into the kitchen twice after 340.
Impressive!
hitting into the net when you're standing 3 feet away on easy balls. number 1 seed for ya lol
I miss the energy of Camron Irwin as the color commentator. Please bring her back asap!
Where is Newman sportsmanship gone to. Very rude.
The johns brothers waking up halfway through game one realizing they are on center court
Newman has the most awkward backhand mechanics

You should enter a tournament and show us how its done
Newman's inability to finish balls off at the kitchen is pretty shocking
