Yeah, it’s the top of her staff, which is really creative. Not only that, but the twist activation switch, the yellow blade with a blue+green flash at the start of ignition. The sound of the blade, ignition and deactivation, etc.
I saw those too. So is Saberforge. They're also now making Leah's (Princess) and those are beautiful! They're SO damn expensive though. A good saber cost about $500! That was the cheapest I found crystal wise. The chamber is essential to it now. It really adds to the saber and theirs are quartz. But..like I said, if you want quality, it's gonna cost you.

Why are these lightsabers so oversized? Was thinking of adding one or two to my toy collection, but the scale is kinda comical. It's like they are scaled for giants.
In person they're not as big. I thought the same thing, my buddy created his own and was surprised it's closer to the replica size. It is slightly thicker, but not as bad I thought it would be. Something about the cameras makes it look bigger than it really is.
Probably because of the Kyber crystal taking up a chunk of the space they had to move things around in the internal chassis to make it work but it also made it a little bit chunkier which makes it bigger when you add actual parts to it.
They aren't that big. My Ultrasaber hilt is longer than my Savi's saber. And, I even have the Rancor tooth pommel which makes it longer. Now, my Savi's saber is thicker, but not by a lot.
Savi's saber core is the issue. You're already starting with a core that is big. It would require redesigning the entire 3d print to work better with that core. Or a 3d print that doesn't use that core to bring the size down. When you have a start point that is going cause anything to become bigger compared to a proper in a film.
That's what I'm hoping to see from someone like Saberforge. That thumb thing is awesome. That's what seporates it from all the others. It's unique and fitting for Rey. Just as Leah's Princess was for her. Too bad we only got brief glimpses of both. Strange how each seems to fit the character perfectly. It makes perfect sense though as the saber is modeled after the Katana. In other words, the saber chooses it's owner, not the other way around! And, each is force made by the owner.

You can say what you want about pretty much anything about Rey’s character, but her light saber is so cool. Love the black metal look that’s kind of inspired by her staff. Don’t know how it can be canonically yellow though
Outstanding for a homemade piece! I really dug her new "white gold" saber in the movie and it's very fitting for her. It's about damn time she got her own. The leather wrap was also a good fit, coming from the staff. This is were it doesn't make sense. I would have liked to have seen this one become a double since she was already proficient with the staff. The dark side double was supposed to be for Palpatine but that idea got canned thanks to Kennedy! Rey with this in a double fighting Palpatine with the other one?! Yeah, I would have liked to have seen that one! But, you did an excellent job on this end it turned out nicely! The Force FX sabers, unfortunately, are not really durable like something from Saberforge though. But, you're gonna pay for that high end craftsmanship! I priced an Unleashed (Starkiller's) with real quartz crystal and it was $500! Before checkout too! A Graflex was $600! Leah's saber (Princess) is also a beautiful piece too. Those are just starting to come out along with these (Empress). None have that working thumb wheel yet though and that's what makes it so unique. No other has ever had that and that's very cool!
UltraSabers has a version of this hilt called The Empress! But if you want it to look accurate to Rey's saber, custom leather wrapping and weathering work will need to be done
Happy May 4th. Hey so, I see that you're really into Savi Saber Customization. I just got a custom blade made for my savi saber that's something you may want to look into and review. It's brighter than the default disney blades. Has a 3D printed bottom cap that fits perfectly into a savi saber. Better scrolling animations. Pulse effect. Flash on clash. And if you talk to the maker, can make custom colors for you. They turned the default magenta into a deep indigo on mine. I'd do a review but it's not really something I do on my channel but I wanna get the word out there about how awesome these custom savi blades are. Look up James2bjb on Ebay, or JaymoosPlayground on etsy. Don't wanna sound too spammy. But given all the savi stuff you do on your channel I figured you might be interested. The maker is really responsive when communicating with them and it only took about a week for them to make my blade with my requests.
Thoughts aside from the sequels, but Rey’s lightsaber has a with type hilt and then a Jedi temple guard blade, pretty cool touch between herself and Palpatine.
I would build myself a slender double lightsaber made of 2 shoto handles. One red, the other violet. If combined into a DL the crystal circuit combines via prisms and produces an amber blade lite Rey's lightsaber. (Most of the time the original handles are to thick for my taste and this whole color combining actually works in RL (at least with light^^) so I would have the most unique lightsaber in the Star Wars universe.) Dounsides would be increased production cost, custom made parts and a very complex circuit.
That small emitter shouldn't be a problem. Try this. Unscrew the emitter, put the blade in the chassis first, then put the emitter on the end of the blade, slide it all the way down the blade, and re-screw it on. That way, hopefully, you bypass the small emitter opening.
Have you ever tested the Ultrasaber covertec wheel in the Disney clip? I ordered my lightsaber a month ago and I’m curious if I need to buy a clip from Ultrasabers or not
I heard that they weren’t gonna make reys because galaxys edge is before the events of TROS and they weren’t /aren’t planning on it. They are supposedly making leias tho so that’s a plus but I believe we’ll have to wait for something from force fx or something like that .
It’s funny because The Last Jedi basically made fun of the sabers with Luke throwing his, giving it no respect, and breaking in a force tug of war. And yet, the sequel trilogy actually had some awesome saber designs with this one and Kylo’s. I love the way each of those look.
There's a new Galaxy's edge Rey Legacy lightsaber with the gold blade. I give it zero out of 5 stars tho because disney cant figure out how the switch on her lightsaber works. But apparently they know how a Galactic Space Cruiser works because they can charge a leg for it.

Even though this is totally out of context, I accidentally wasted an equivalent of 13 USD on a saber font in which I thought the saber would be coming in WITH the sound board. In further research, the money to buy the sabers are quite expensive and too far out of reach for me to buy. As In now I’ve wasted 13 USD on nothing that I’ll use, and it’s 3:53 AM, stressing at the fact I just bought something completely useless. This causing me to not sleep and tempered by this fact. So..that’s epic.
Are we allowed to take our lightsabers back to the park? Like if i want to walk around every visit with the hilt on my belt clip and the blade in the case for when it gets dark

Question: Can you put on the top piece after you insert the blade? Would that help the damaging of the printed piece?
