The way they see it, the drug business is the only way for them to make real money. And with how bad their education system is, there might be some truth to that.
The sad thing abt the drug game is that it's inevitable. As long as drugs exist, ppl can and will find a way to get their hands on it to the point that they will lie, steal, and kill. It's how drug addicts ruin relationships especially with family (ex. Bubbs and his sister). It's cruel, but it's reality, and at the end of the day we all have the freedom of choice.
