    I’ve been shooting the Axis since they came out and have never had an issue with em. Follow the instructions for gluing the HIT with the epoxy they make and you should be good to go. Make sure to use the broadhead ring adaptors when hunting. A couple friends shoot the Gold Tip Hunter Pro. They’re great arrows too.

    I use the Easton insert glue and have never had a problem with inserts falling out. You may need to do a better job of cleaning the inside of your shaft before installing your inserts. Use cue tips and alcohol until there is nothing on the cue tip. I’ve shot both Easton and gold tip, I found the gold tips to have tighter tolerances, but have found the Victory RIP to outperform both. It’s a .204 shaft so it is closer to micro than my older gold tips and penetration is significantly improved. I’d also suggest using a different insert than the hidden Easton ones. Ethics makes a great insert, and would be much more durable.

    With the Easton internal insert the face of the arrow may be absorbing most of the shock which could in turn cause it to splinter. The Gold Tip insert has an external face and could be providing a "buffer" to the arrow itself...just a thought!

    For the Easton’s I would go with a half out over the HIT but if you prefer the HIT score the inside with a wire brush for gun cleaning then make sure the inside of the shaft is very clean and make sure it is dry before gluing them in. Hope this helps but I would just try to stay away from the hit system in general.

      Buy some extra nocks and don’t twist the arrow on the string to aline your fletching. It will stretch the nocks. Sometimes just one side which will make it kick to one side out of the gate. Great arrow.

      Another thing to pay close attention to is your D loop. The GT nock is abnormally small so make sure that there isn’t any up and down slop when you are drawn all the way back. Don’t be too tight either.

    I cracked 2 axis in 2 days. On wood. Hit insert sucks.half outs are wobbly after strong hits. Maybe best solution is ironwill collars but they re out of stock. Or simply the gold tip arrow. Think i ll leave easton behind...

    • @renatugaming5730
      @renatugaming5730 3 года назад

      ha think you mean inserts. Usually people use strong cleaners like Acetone, denatured alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and use that on the inside of the shafts, it's not safe to use on plastic nocks though....

  • @willdesorcy5868

    Currently shooting easton fmj’s but im actually switching back to gold tip hunters. Doing the mathematics with kinetic energy using archery calculators i can get the same out of a gold tip hunter as i would an fmj but for a fraction of the price. Granted it all boils down to personal preference but it is a good talking point

    It's your left spin.., switch arrows or switch the right spin, tip gets loose in left spin, then the next shot brakes insert loose, also that loose insert, is cracking you arrows. Because the tip gets a run at the arrow, and cracks it. Don't believe me refletch to right spin try it, or switch inserts or arrows...

    • @kevinp2561
      @kevinp2561 3 года назад +1

      If you don't check which way your arrow is rotating coming off the bow and just throw a helical or offset on an arrow you are going to have inaccuracies. Arrows come off my bow naturally rotating left so left helical or offset is ideal for me. Take a bare shaft, mark the top of your nock and shoot it 5 ft away from the target and see where that line is. Mine was about 9 o'clock. More likely the issue is in the prep with inserts coming out. Any carbon dust left over from cutting and squaring will definitely cause issues with adhesion in the shaft.

    • @joracer1
      @joracer1 3 года назад +1

      @@kevinp2561 its slightly possible its still spinning right. Do it at 3', 3.5', then 4' to be 100% sure. But I shot left spin for awhile 30 years ago, my field point were always loose, so I fletched my arrows to spin right. problem solved. I didn't test my bow for natural spin, but I noticed no difference in accuracy. Left spin or failure to tighten tip before each shot = loose tips and loose tips, + and non shoulded inserts, + carbon arrows = loose inserts and cracked arrows, to me.

    • @kevinp2561
      @kevinp2561 3 года назад +2

      @@joracer1 I definitely agree with the last bit that loose broadheads or field points being shot will lead to problems. I shot my bare shaft further out and still had the same result. I guess part of it is in how they twist the strings while making them. Since strings can very so much across manufacturers you will see different results. Will definitely keep an eye on my BH and points because even with stock straight fletchings it still spins left. Shot a video at 240 fps which is the fastest for my GoPro and its tough to tell but it appears to spin left. Will also build a right helical in my testing process as I'm currently gearing up to build and test arrows for the upcoming hunting season.

    Maybe he isn't aware of his attention to detail, THE preferred glue and the possible best ,even though there are about 5 r 6 different glues, slow down and double check your arrow assembly details, and for what it's worth, just for a curious point of interest, after your arrows are done, as you are making your arrows, get or have a piece of angled aluminum, long enough for 6r 12 arrows, processed with your arrows, place the arrow the angled aluminum balancer, watch it ,find the balance point, finish up your arrows, let the arrows balance to one of touching the table, maybe get another long piece of something and watch how close your arrows measure up to the being your own match grade attempt, with all things being considered, put a mark at center and measure your own actual foc , you'll might find yourself giving yourself a different sense of how your own building assembly gives you a better idea and sense of attention to detail, you might, if you slowly think about it, take some time relax, start setting your sight pins at your own preferences of distances, attention to detail carries more influences than you might think, just a good slow aim and a slow release, it doesn't matter if your shooting for personal practice or tournament competition fun, with archery being a physical/mental,,,,,mental/physical, your always gonna be shooting against yourself, this is why shop maintenance is infact the gospel of GOD, we all need to maintain an open mind, you need to learn arrow building until you can do it in your sleep, balancing and tuning the bow is the same way,,and I think paper tuning has probably the highest priority, but that's me, good mechanics is everything, you'll definitely respect your equipment better, wayneeden95@gmail.com

    I am not a Fan of the Hit Inserts either, Remember Easton is a giant Company they aren't worried about quality (as in Indestructible) they rely on you to break/damage arrows that is how they make their money. I really think the H.I.T. System was designed that way on purpose. It makes absolutely no sense and leaves the front of the arrow completely weak and exposed to damage. I guess it makes everyone else money that are making collars.
