It has a lot of incense for a tobacco fragrance, it could easily be called royal tobacco but Cecile Zarokian is very good at it, like the transitions are gorgeous and thoughtful
Cheers to you if you like it :) I am not a fan of Cecile's creations.
It is on my wishlist. Absolutely brilliant!
Hey Andre, good choice 😃 You will surely not smell mainstream with the Royal Tobacco. Thanks for watching!
I was so disappointed when i smelled this in the store, it smells like everything BUT tobacco 😂
The licorice note is nauseating
Hey, my friend, I still hoped it was a smoky gorgeous aromatic scent before testing. After spraying it, I was thinking of stopping filming 🙈
@@razvanyke i almost gagged in front of the sales lady at neiman marcus 🤣
I dont think the perfumer’s nose and my nose align because im not the biggest fan of her work. She also did ani for nishane which i hate
Haha, I also hate Ani and do not really like what Cecile is making. Cheers !
Razvan, Royal Tobacco by Amouage is not for everybody. I think that the opening is challenging. If you can get past the opening, it is a special fragrance. When I smelled Tobacco Oud by Tom Ford, for the first time, I did not like the opening but I loved the dry down. I eventually bought Tobacco Oud. I hope to buy Royal Tobacco, if I can find it discounted, in the future.
I appreciate the honesty.
Did you try Carlisle by PDM? It’s my best perfume so far
Thank you 🙏 I know Carlisle but it's not one of my favorites :)
Hey Raz :)! Do you like this one more than Xerjoff Naxos and Amouage interlude black Iris?
@@tpacalypse :)) Hello my friend, is this a joke? I do not like Royal Tobacco at all.
I agree with you the liquorice can kill a fragrance on the opening and put you off it. I nearly bought this but that opening was too harsh I couldn't get past the liquorice dominant note
Hey my friend, looks like we share the same dislike for the poor candy :) What about Dior Sauvage Elixir, do you like it?
@@razvanyke hi sauvage elixir was ok on release but I still get that liquorice vibe I have it but don't reach for it. In the last 8 months I started to collect niche fragrances I now have 60 in my collection so it is hard to get excited about stuff like sauvage elixir anymore. I do however love interlude black iris
I loved this fragrance and bought the bottle after trying the sample. I agree that the flavor is pretty powerful. And I assume the word "royal" indicates that you shouldn't expect a credible tobacco flavor. For me 100 ml is a lot, but unfortunately there are no 50 ml bottles in this series.
Hello my friend, nice to hear from you ! :D If you are not annoyed by the licorice, this seems to be a great and complex scent, after the sprays from the sample it lasted until the next day. Take care !
I had high hopes for this and Overture Man, I ended up not like either. They both share the same sharp spiciness that I find abrasive. I didn't get any tobacco out of Royal Tobacco.
Hey, I also reviewed Overture man and I absolutely love that one. That aged cognac barrel smell is to die for and with grapefruit, but I can understand if it´s too powerful. Royal Tobacco has a green leaf note which is nice, but that is all. I appreciate the comment !
1:58 i have the same problem with licorice , rose
@@bloodindark thanks for the feedback 💯 Its a tough cookie, this scent
This was literally the worst scent I’ve ever had the displeasure of smelling. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE
Hey my friend, sorry for that. I know your pain, same was in my case .. I had so high hopes, but .. meh.
Absolutely horrible. I smelled like church incense all day. 🤮
Yeah, sorry for that :(
