I didn't play barb for 3 seasons, then I decided to play barb this season, then I realized I was playing a different game
Yea I usually always roll sorcs, but after switching to barb, I started to have way more fun

I love the whirlwind barb, so relaxing
Hate how almost every build shown on all channels involves almost perfect items and rolls. The majority of us arent neck beards that play 8+ hours a day and are able to farm these items. Most of us will never have these items/rolls and therefore have the building performing this well.
I play on the weekends bc i work 14-16 hr days and ive built my barb up with his bash bleed build and im soloin uber bosses after 1 month of weekend playing. I have 6 pcs ready for the flay bleed build to go including shaco and rage of harrogath. I shaved my neck beard so im close to ready to play. morale of the story shave your beard and you can do it to. It is possible
I understand where you are coming from…but…I see these videos as an example of what’s possible, not what I’m probably going to do. I’ve been farming for a grandfather ALL day because I got lucky and had a day. Never got one…but whatevs…
@@Ender7j I hear ya. I got lucky for one but i got my 2nd one from breakin down ubers i wasnt using and crafting it. I got lucky with 4 shacos but they dont have the ga i need so i use whats available till then
@@Ender7j If it makes you feel any better, my group has done close to 800 Durial runs some tormented and some normal; and I never got a single Grandfather to drop. Meanwhile, one of my group members got four; with three of those dropping within one run of each other.
I on the other hand had to craft mine.

My golem Necro could clear a 135 with holy bolt before the patch. After the patch, I lost 10 tiers from holy bolt nerf and then gained 10 tiers along with everyone else so now I'm back to where I was
The patch buffed every build 10 tiers in the Pit because it just nerved monster HP by 10 tiers 😂. Blizzards new strategy, don't fix the game just nerf the monsters 😑
It makes no difference except to peanut brains, who think bigger pit numbers mean anything. Your builds aren't better, monsters are just weaker. The best builds were also buffed and the disparity is still there...if not worse because of things like Flay buffs. Borderline useless patch

Hey Rob thx for the video! Question: is it better to have Vulnerable Damage or Critical Strike Damage on the wepons from tempering ? Cause on maxroll they say for this build to work we need to have 1000+ Vulnerable Damage that works with Hemorrhage from the paragon skills and i see you're running with a lot of Crit Strike Damage.

Hey mate, maxroll makes some amazing build guides. But I don’t know from where they got that you will need 1000+ vulnerable dmg for the build to work. But I can confidently tell you that you don’t need that. In fact if you get that with lower or even avg gear level then your crit dmg is gonna be extremely low and your overall damage will suffer greatly. Crit damage is also an important pillar of this build. You need to balance crit dmg and vulnerable damage. With extensive testing the community discovered or believes that 3:1 crit damage and vulnerable damage is ideal for max damage output. For example if you have 3k crit damage and 800 vulnerable damage then you should get more vulnerable damage.

Dumb question - what does the game flow look like? Are you constantly rupturing or are you mixing in some flay hits? I’m having trouble following the exact flow you’re doing in combat.
So they buffed the top build but did nothing for druids... Lmao ... Blizzard don't even play their own games
They did buff Pulverize ~6 pit levels while also reducing bosses health in Pit Levels so it can comfortably do PIT 100 now with medium gear. Yeha not much but definitely overall ~ +10-15 Pits for Pulverize both things combined
They play their own game, just the top people there are using barbs as main and that feedback it is implemented, no top people are using druids as mains.
D4 partners will always say "AMAZING PATCH" keep bending me over blizzard i love it! 0 spine 0 honesty.

@@smdnsnnd7254 I play druid, cleared pit 100 pre-patch, killed all tormented bosses solo ect. Druid does need buffs, but everyone acts like its unplayable (also was not playing wind shear)

So now if you're going to look at DPS you need to count how many overlapping procs that it takes to get to 130 billion stab right on the marker.
From a min/max perspective, does flay duration cap at 100%? So like theoretically if you had 33-35% on 3 weps could that free up a temper?
No it doesn’t cap, you can have it on all 4 weapons and you can also hit it 3 times on the Masterwork and it will continue to scale up. It’s only limited by the masterwork and we can’t get it on anything other than weapons. You can definitely not take it if you don’t want to, it will just make your Flay last less🤷♂️
How you bring all enemys to bleed or how you make mass damage ?
Quick question. Would xfals make you the old barber heart for the barb? Maybe with dust devils frim flay so bleed and dot everyone

As a fellow casual player I would highly suggest playing the build you think looks more enjoyable.
Got 10 levels in the pit, my main skill got a 25% damage increase now I'm in the same spot just + 10 levels. Guess I'm done with the patch lol. Cookie cutter still required.

Rob, have you considered using fields of crimson on this build? I think dropping the polearm and the flay duration would be a huge drop, but only you could do the maths 😂
What do you use for your weapons? Like, do you hit “cycle weapon” on flay or on bash? I’m confused by the weapon masteries in general. Never played barb
For Flay+Rupture you use a Polearm. For Bash you use a 2H Mace.
Rob could you please explain why is such difference between your build in the game and build in the planner. Just 2 examples - you have diamonds in rings and amulets in your planner, but no diamonds in the video. res to all elements in planner - resistance to lightning in the video. iron skin aspect on pants in planner and seems to be other in video. just to clarify - is the planner up to date? thanks!
meanwhile bone spear strugles to do over 10m crits (with shaco, starless skies and the rest of the gear at 8/12 masterwork, so very decent gear)... i wonder if the balance is a bit off ?!

Rob, you linked king pig's old planner in your planner's notes. He has updated the build quite a bit to focus more on crit strike damage rather than flay duration. He explains it all in his recent flay video. Please change the link in your notes.

Watch the video to understand as well bc the planner doesn’t allow him to put in the crit damage temper. It’s also masterworked instead of flay duration. Yes you need a rogue.

Just play non bleed version of bash .. without the crit tempers u won't do much more dmg than those.. and they already clear 130+ pits with non bleed bash

im wondering why my flays "just" ticks around the 400 mil mark and dont get into the billions like urs? whats the aspect which is buffing the damage more? ranks to heavy handed and thhis kind of stats or the flay duration, tempered on the weapons ?
It’s most likely a combination of things looks at the most planners & my stats. But even at half a barbillion duriel etc should melt

Thorns is the easiest , once you get a life per hit piece you’re basically invulnerable. Switch to bash when you get the tempering manual.

It’s not the build holding you back then. You likely don’t have the right affixes on gear, haven’t fully masterworked, don’t have the ubers, or any number of issues. A lot goes into getting higher damage.

I figured out a funny damage boost for bleed builds, useless against bosses but does unbelievable damage to any enemy you can stun
I love this build! Thanks for sharing it! Question - why not use %Damage on your weapons instead of only using vulnerable? DoT double dips the %Damage, its nuts. I;'d imagine that %DMG and %Vuln role on your weapons would boost your damage more than rolling 2x vuln. But im not 100%

I’ve been playing frozen orb Sorc all season, and after the patch, I’m still not able to get much further in the pit, (boss problem for me) but man can I clear a room now up to level 80
Frozen orb good build ,I farm 100lvl pit ,all boses (200)
I did 113 lvl pit last night ,probably can do 114 or 115 but not enough dmg for boss.
I defo wanna make a WW barb, I have Shako, I have 4 sparks, do I get Grandfather or Tyriels after the patch first? Will get both eventually, but what will help most early?

The Key Passive called Gushing Wounds makes an explosion that causes bleed on AOE
@@eddyram4932 Where did you get that? Is it written somewhere? I have 75% crit and can attack many times without getting that AOE getting crit but no AOE. Are you sure it is gushing wounds? I can crank Flay on a main dummy for 10 more attacks without getting that AOE; for sure I had a crit in those 10 attacks.

@@Darkwolf12328 The rupture passive? I am not rupturing, I am cranking flay when I get it. Go on a multiple dummy and just flay for 10 attacks and you will get it. No rupture at all. Still a mystery to me unless I do not understand your explanation correctly
How does Rupture actually work? Do you do 3-4 Flay hits, then do one Rupture hit... rinse and repeat? We don't use Rupture on cooldown?
With wanton rupture on you rupture immediately then get 40% increased attack speed then 13 seconds later use it again without it consuming your bleeds, it has a lot to do with your flay duration. But you can stack bleeds and consume it all once you fill the entire boss bar.
When rupture is glowing that's when you use it to not consume the bleeds and just stack more, if it's not glowing don't use it until you have the entire bar filled. Then boom barbiliions of damage.

managed to create the build...not as perfect as this but its dmg is enjoyable. What i don't understand is its resistancy..even though i capped them at 70% and have a 9000 armor i get wrecked by every mob if i don t pay attention or have iron skin on CD

bleed barb (im playing tyrael dd ww bleed) is the best in the pit! reason is... when lilith spawns her shadow clone tri-swipe attack, I can run away from boss and dodge her, meanwhile my bleeds tick the boss's health down the whole time I'm running away. this is the best build cuz u can just make something bleed and run away and it will still die. lmao it's so funny! go barbs!
Why does your fire bolt sorc have no paragon points
Why temper cc duration?
they buffed everything exapt fire ball, arc lighting and charged bolts ( unless you count the pit hp nerv as a buff to everyone)
He is...there's like 3-4 builds that got specific buffs, then they gave some blanket buffs that applies to everything (which are not really much) and then just nerfed the endgame.

Yes use marksman finesse on rogue to roll it on
Funny how moxsy just proudly posted double hitting with pulverize for 500m on a crit overpower. This literally did over 270 times as much damage.

You can if you want to, you’ll just lose some stats but it will make a small difference, you will still hit for billions without it. That being said, Doombringer will not give you anything significant enough to excuse you swapping it for a regular legendary👍

You just gotta have a rogue. You put it in your stash, log in as your rogue, temper it, then put back in your stash for your barb to grab
I love how they buffed classes and builds that had no issues getting over 100 pit and druid and sorcerer got nothing lol
Can someone help me with where the barrier comes from in this build? Does iron skin provide it? I just switched over from bash barb where I was clearing 110 pits, and granted my gear isn’t fully optimized yet, but even doing tier 100 NM dungeons, I feel super squishy. This video he’s doing like 150 pits and his health doesn’t even drop.. what am I missing? I didn’t do this version of flay which I’m going to switch to, but the version I did seems very similar just no iron skin
aspect of iron warrior - iron skin grants unstoppable and 35% dmg reduction.
Wouldn’t the solo and the group version build destroy Uber bosses? If so what’s so special about the Uber version?
Yes they do still melt Uber Bosses. The Boss killing version of this build just melts them even faster.

@@Rrr20058bvsc mate, only 2 sorc in diablo can do this and they have OP gear and are VERY talented this bs is just cheese NO class should be hitting 100bil.... and it isn't easy to make this build im telling you now.. only 1 sorc build is S tier and good luck making it work with all the CDR and barrier duration on tempering, for casual players you have very little hope. i'm not a casual player. i have this build on rn and it's still not 100% as i have to have hectic aspect on ammy just to run it as my gear isn't 3-4GA like the sorcerers you see do it.. makuna and arccueid. are a couple other streamers with it but they are hardcore gamers
@YaeSakura3.0 some pieces of gear are difficult to get, like ranks on ammy for rogue, bit for the most part it's really not difficult to gear out. I'm not running a sorc, but I've got two barbs and a rogue in full 12/12 gear with 99% of the stats I want. Not as much GA as I'd like but I'm still running pit 120s with zero issue as of the patch.
@@narc3778 rogue had looked very good this season. problem with sorc is all our damage is against cc and that's useless against bosses unless they are staggered. before patch i Just managed to pass a tier 120 with about 14 seconds left on the clock but before i was on frozen orb and that couldn't pass a tier 100. so i had to swap builds just to stand a chance at pushing higher tiers. my gear is not good mostly 1GA i have the worst luck this season as i can't seem to find any 3ga items grinding and i can't buy from diablo trade as everything for this build is 9bil and i don't buy gold so it is hopeless. even if i did grind and saved to buy from site knowing my luck it would just brick then i'm broke so yeah it sucks
@@YaeSakura3.0 yea, buying anything is out of the question this season for sure. Is sorc not able to stun quickly? My rogue stuns the boss in about 5 seconds.

The stat bonus for using a two handed sword ^
Expertise equipped is two handed axe
Expertise from weapon equipped is two handed sword
Using a sword grants you 20% direct damage as bleed over 5 seconds
GF is used with any build that uses Gushing wounds and heavily relies on crit damage. GF can double your crit damage, which doubles your bleed damage in bleed builds other than Flay.

I was wondering the same. Does the build use berserk ripping? Because if not then it's probably really for the 20% bleed. Or the 20% are actually better that I'd expect

What do you mean his only low resistance is Poison at like 39%. Unless he once again has a broken planner😂 he tends to have crap on the planners sometimes.
Smart cap for poison is 40%. And everything else is 60%. With antivenin and incense. You would be at 70%.

I feel like I’m missing something. I have all of the aspects required for this build. Tried to recreate this build and the highest I’ve hit was 50k damage.
Is the Harlequin Crest that important to have and does it make that much of a difference?
Having high Crit Damage, Crit Chance and Vuln are all very important for this build. It is quite a gear dependent build so without good stats it really underperforms. With that said when you get the correct stats it absolutely pumps.

@@maziormarcus9895 No worries bro, I was in the same position a couple of weeks ago. Its amazing how much your damage scales as you start to build up your Crit and Vuln damage. Also getting Flay duration over 18seconds will help a lot.

at this point I'm at least glad to be getting 1/10th of that bleed damage, but I worry I'm doing something fundermentally wrong to be 10x less.

Me: 56.2% attack speed, 57.2% Crit chance, 749% Vulnerable damage, crit str. damage 2569.4 % output: - 300,000,000 bleed, i get 350m bleed with grandfather in place of polearm (switch glyph)
disclaimer: 8 ranks to heavy handed not 9 .... 13 ranks to flay not 16 ... 11 ranks to war cry not 16. and when i run the precision elixir, and inner calm on pole arm and wanton rupt on ring, okay i can touch 500,000,000 bleed ticks. seems a little more realistic discrepancy from the gearing and master working being less.
PS not a fan of the CotA variant, only good for target dummy.
PPS. I assume 2H sword expertise doesnt work with with wanton rupture. As a 500m tick every 1/2 sec, flay duration 16.33s = 16.33 bilion bleed, with the rupture. sword expertise would bleed 20% as additional bleed over 5 seconds... should be 326m bleed tick on top of existing bleed. ergo, rupture proc isnt counting direct damage, likely somehow a DoT. (never seen it crit?) shame that would make swords the weapon of choice for sure.
How do you have critical strike damage tampering on your gloves?
Level up a rogue. Rogue is only class that has crit damage recipe.

How are you getting hundreds of million in seconds im getting 70m than a 4 ish barbillion rupture idk what to do to boost the damage or whats the most important to hit numbers that fast that high
I don't understand how your damage is so high. My bleeds only doing like 30M per tick.
